The facilities are all clean and the restaurant itself has modern decor. Six tables that seat 4. They will slide them all together to accomplish more seating. The food was excellent! I had the Mexicali omelette, pictured here. Large portion came with my choice of hashbrowns, fruit, or salad. We also ordered the huevos rancheros, also pictured, Marisol accommodated us with green sauce instead of red. All the food was delicious. Marisol was our server. She was on top of everything suggested we try the red sauce on the huevos rancheros. She brought us a little container of the red and a little container of the green to sample. That was super nice and above and beyond what most restaurants do. We were not rushed or forced into anything we didn't want. They made adjustments as requested. I was really excited to try Aragon House Cafe and honestly I'm glad to see more trendy brunch spots popping up in Bellflower. The cafe itself has a nice atmosphere and the staff was friendly, so I definitely wanted to like it more than I did. Unfortunately, the food was pretty lackluster for the price and the hype. Nothing tasted terrible, but nothing really stood out either. What really threw us off was when my friend's omelette came out with what looked like a Kraft Singles slice melted on top. At a cafe trying to have a more elevated brunch vibe, that just felt cheap and disappointing. The cafe itself is on a corner street and I can see it filling up fast during rush hours. It's fairly small but they have an outside ordering window or dine-in service! The server was very nice, but the place can get hot fast. We would wait to get water refills often since it was hot the day we visited. The food was phenomenal! Everything is hearty and satisfying. The chipotle tuna wrap is SO GOOD. I will definitely be getting it the next time I come back with a side of hashbrowns. The sweet potatoes fries were on the softer side but had a few crispy bits. When we first walked in, the girl asked if we had reservations (we did) and then told us it would be an hour wait. Immediately I'm like... oh . But then a guy came over and said 5 minutes. So already we're playing Wait Time Roulette. The place is small -- about 6 tables inside, all seating four. They have two TVs, but nothing was playing. No music either. It's definitely giving family-owned vibes (in a cozy way). Here's the part that had me though -- while we were there (about 30 minutes total between waiting and being seated), two tables opened up and stayed empty for a bit. Meanwhile, another couple was told it would be an hour wait. The math wasn't mathing. Now the FOOD I got the FLEAKY FRENCH TOAST and listen... it was DELICIOUS. Their hash browns could use some seasoning though and more color (but add some salsa and/or ketchup and you should be good). Tried their regular pancakes and matcha pancakes. Very fluffy and delicious. Matcha was spot on with great matcha flavor within the pancakes and also with their whip on top! Small place, about 6 tables. No AC but they do have fans. Mother's Day breakfast here was definitely...an experience. I made a reservation, but our real gift was that a table magically opened up when we arrived. Drinks showed up quickly, although apparently the ice and coffee were participating in a separate event. It also is pretty loud, the sound of people's voices travels. I can barely hear my friend that was sitting across from at times. Service was pretty slow.... It took about 20 minutes for us to get our food. The waiter was slow with bringing requested items, and would also forget to bring items after I asked 3 times (e.g extra plates). There is minimal staff so it took a little bit longer than usual but everything else completely made up for it. I found this place on Valentine's Day so we went for brunch, we had no wait and we're immediately sat. We ordered the Matcha pancakes, chilaquiles, jalapeño chicken omelette and the kids Oreo pancakes. Everything was amazing!! Tried to come on in a Sunday morning for brunch but the place was full and the wait would have been too long so I left. There is limited seating inside but it is clean and newly fixed up. Came back on a Friday morning and it was empty so gave it a try. There is a diverse amount of food to try which includes both Mexican and American type plates. I went with the chilaquiles with chicken (for an upcharge), the banana Nutella crepe and red velvet pancakes. The crepe and pancakes were very good. Kinda hard to mess that up but freshly made made them taste a little better for sure. The chilaquiles were average. I do prefer crunchy versus soft and soggy. The red sauce was good and the chile sauce they give in the side has some nice kick which I enjoyed. The cafe de olla was delicious both hot and cold.
