The environment super cute , staff amazing and on top of it! Unfortunately, my brother and I were disappointed in the food. Considering the prices of it as well. We were expecting something flavorful delicious, amazing. I would have rather ate at a little mom and pop. My brother got the enchiladas suizas , the sauce tasted straight of a can, the beans had no flavor , and the rice was hard. I got the the carne en su jugo and again no flavor I added salt and the only thing that made it yummy was their spicy red sauce. We got truffle fries as an appetizer again no salt no flavor and the fries were still kind of crudos.

I really enjoyed it. I was happily surprised. The pancakes could have been more buttery. Its batter has a floury taste to me. But the sizzling rice was fire. I got it with turkey sausage I also got a strawberry matcha for the first time at any place. It was pretty good. The restaurant was clean and decor was cute. Service was great. But I reviewed my receipt and my sizzle was $34. Not sure why adding chicken made it $34. I subbed the original protein to turkey sausage, they must of still charged me for it. I didn't notice until I got home.

Came on a Sunday and there was a wait, but it wasn't too bad, about 30 minutes. They do take reservations, which I definitely should've made. I checked Yelp photos ahead of time to decide what to order and went with the French toast where you can choose your flavor. I picked the "Nut Gone Tella" (warm Nutella, fresh strawberries, banana slices, caramel drizzle, powdered sugar). I don't actually like Nutella, so I ordered it without that. When it came out, it looked so good. But once I started cutting into it, super disappointing. The toast was really soggy, like overly soaked to the point where only the edges had any firmness. That's just not my kind of French toast. I let our server know, and she was great about it. She offered to switch it out for pancakes, which I did, and those were much better. One thing I really appreciated: the menu notes that they use avocado oil. As someone who tries to avoid seed oils (and deals with gut issues), that's a big plus, especially being a foodie. This place can be a little tricky to find. It's across from the movie theater, so keep an eye out.

Food was delicious, service was great and met the co owner and her mom which were very nice and attentive. Plenty of parking and wait wasn't long for a table on a Sunday afternoon. Will definitely be back to try more dishes. I had the carne en su jugo and tasted like home made and authentic Mexican dish. Ambience was cool - we sat outside and the servers were kind enough to move the umbrellas to get shade.

Drove around the busy shared parking lot for a while, but luckily found a spot near the gym. We were seated right away, and the hostess was friendly. Our waiter was just okay, but he did bring waters for everyone promptly. The restaurant has a cute vibe, and I appreciated that the restroom was clean. I ordered the chilaquiles rojos, which came out quickly, but I was extremely disappointed. The eggs weren't cooked properly, and these were not the chilaquiles I expected. They were made with what looked like store bought yellow tortilla chips covered in what tasted like canned enchilada sauce. The beans were so gross, I left the little dish full it honestly looked like wet cat or wet dog food. Honestly, it was a huge letdown. The price was disappointing as well, especially considering the premade chips and lack of authentic flavor. I really wanted to like this place and had been looking forward to trying it, but unfortunately, another visit is not on my radar.

First time visiting Casa Brunch to celebrate Mother's Day, and unfortunately, we left disappointed. The staff was friendly, and the service was quick and attentive, so no complaints there. However, the food was underwhelming. Most of our group ordered the chilaquiles rojos, and we were surprised at how quickly the food came out, but we quickly realized why. These were not traditional Mexican chilaquiles, which was disappointing. Instead of softened tortilla chips in sauce, they tasted more like stale, crunchy nachos. We were especially bummed because we canceled our plans to go to Madres in Bellflower (highly recommend their chilaquiles!) to give this place a try. Since Casa Brunch is still fairly new, I hope they improve the quality of their food if they want to build a loyal customer base.

So good! I love their chicken mole! Large portions so everything is definitely shareable. They also have a patio that I usually can bring my laptop out at and work from. Overall a chill, casual spot. Will be back!

Came early on a Monday morning to celebrate our college grad. Customer service was overall great. For a Monday it wasn't too busy but some of our food was late to come out. The food overall was good, I also had the vanilla iced coffee which was delicious. I would be open to trying this place again in the future.

This was definitely my second attempt trying to come to Casa Brunch, and I'm glad it finally worked out because the concept alone is already a win for me -- brunch all day long. Honestly, I hate when life gets hectic and suddenly breakfast hours are over, so this idea speaks to my soul. Now, I'll be honest... I wasn't really in the mood for Latin food. I know that sounds funny coming from a Latina girl, but when your mom makes amazing homemade Latin food, going out and paying for it just usually isn't my thing. So instead, I went for the guava cheesecake pancakes, which felt like the perfect half-Latina compromise, and they were absolutely delicious. My dad ordered the gorditas. Personally, I love gorditas stuffed with ground beef, but he got them with just cheese which honestly made them feel more like pupusas to me -- still good though! What really made the experience stand out was our waitress, Victoria. She was so sweet, friendly, and genuinely attentive. We told her we were headed next door to see the Michael Jackson movie afterward, and she made sure our food came out quickly so we wouldn't be late. That kind of service really makes a difference.Good food, fun brunch vibes, and great service. I'll definitely be back again.

We were on our way to brunch, somewhere else in the area, but we saw this place and decided to go here instead. I have to say that hubby and I do not regret coming here instead. The food plates were so good! The chorizo on that Breakfast Sizzle was with a crunchiness to it that we liked. I liked their rice too. The omelette was also bigger than we expected and tasted good. The potatoes, like the other reviews, are a hit or a miss but I'd say they can pass as the main dish on the plate was good! The calamari was alright. Yes, a little pricey but for us, it was worth it. The drinks were also okay. Will def come back and probably try other drinks next time. Service was good, our server checked on us and asked how things were going and if everything went well. Ambiance was relaxing inside. Cute designs on walls. And they accommodated us, placed us in a spot where we had room for a stroller for our baby.

The only thing I didn't like was the food I got the green chicken chiliques and the chicken didn't have flavor and the chips are stale I will give this place an other try but not the same thing I will try something else But the service was great Also it was bit warm inside so we sat outside for the fresh breeze

    Veronica O.

This place is very nice and aesthetically pleasing! Very flowers/garden vibe. The food is also really good and not crazy expensive. The carne verde benedicts were amazing! The customer service?!? Wonderful!!! The girls were super helpful! My friend took her 2 year old and one of the ladies even offered to cut his food before bringing it to him and brought him plastic utensils. It's honestly the little things. We will go back to try the guava pancakes!! Yall should check it out if you're by the Cinemark tbh

Once we were ready she had our table already prepared. We have to order inside first before you can be seated. Once seated our food came out not too long after. Everything looked and tasted delicious! We ordered the chilaquiles verde, short rib omelette, tropical pancakes (seasonal), and the mango curd french toast (seasonal). The chilaquiles verde was savory and tangy. It wasn't soggy at all and definitely one of my favorite dishes. The short rib omelette was savory but didn't give me any wow factor compared to the other dishes I ordered. The tropical pancakes were so pretty. I only tried a piece of it without the syrup which I think was a mistake because the kumquat syrup was my friend's favorite. I definitely need to try it again with the syrup. Best for last, mango curd French toast was my favorite! I fell in love with sweetness and tanginess of the mango curd. The French toast was soft and you can taste the butter. I wish it was a main menu item. I'll definitely be sad to see it go. They have lots of seating inside and outside.

The moment I took my first bite, I immediately noticed that the ricotta tasted sour and spoiled. I drove back to the restaurant to request a refund. Unfortunately, my refund was not honored because the manager, Aimee, was not present. Karely, the lead on duty, seemed unsure of how to handle the situation and attempted to explain that the sour taste was simply the lemon in the ricotta. That explanation was disappointing because there is a clear difference between the intended lemon flavor and the taste of spoiled dairy. What upset me most was the lack of concern, apology, or effort to make the situation right. As a customer, I expected the issue to be taken seriously, especially when food safety is involved. If a manager is unavailable, staff should be properly trained and empowered to handle customer concerns appropriately. I am currently four months pregnant, which made this experience even more concerning. I wasted my time, gas, and energy driving back to the restaurant, only to leave without a refund or any resolution. This was by far the worst experience I have had at a restaurant in Downey, and unfortunately, I will not be returning.

They As we are a primarily chicken household, I brought my family with me to try their chicken plates and creative chicken plates. My first initial thought walking into Chicken Koop is that it has calm party vibe... the reason I say this is because through our whole time in the restaurant, they were playing a lot of my favorite songs. For a second, I thought my phone had connected to their speakers, lol! Pictured below is the Fried Chicken Sandwich and the 1/2 Roasted Chicken Plate. The Friend Chicken Sandwich was so juicy and flavorful; the breaded chicken patty had a perfect crunch to it. The 1/2 Roasted Chicken Plate was also another delicious and great choice. We ordered takeout and were pleasantly surprised they still accepted our order only 30 minutes before closing. I had the mushroom wrap because it seemed like a healthier option. The vegetables inside were cooked well and nicely seasoned, but the wrap itself was a little dry. It came with a salad, which was a nice addition. I'd still return for the wrap. The garlic fries were really good, and the nachos were nice and saucy. The rice that came with the dinner plate, however, was overcooked and mushy. Overall, a decent experience with a few standout items.
