So good! I love their chicken mole! Large portions so everything is definitely shareable. They also have a patio that I usually can bring my laptop out at and work from. Overall a chill, casual spot. Will be back!

Breakfast Sizzle with chorizo, Calamari and Steak Power Omelette. As well as Classic Brown Sugar Shaken Espresso and Salty Maole Matcha

We were on our way to brunch, somewhere else in the area, but we saw this place and decided to go here instead. I have to say that hubby and I do not regret coming here instead. The food plates were so good! The chorizo on that Breakfast Sizzle was with a crunchiness to it that we liked. I liked their rice too. The omelette was also bigger than we expected and tasted good. The potatoes, like the other reviews, are a hit or a miss but I'd say they can pass as the main dish on the plate was good! The calamari was alright. Yes, a little pricey but for us, it was worth it. The drinks were also okay. Will def come back and probably try other drinks next time. Service was good, our server checked on us and asked how things were going and if everything went well. Ambiance was relaxing inside. Cute designs on walls. And they accommodated us, placed us in a spot where we had room for a stroller for our baby.

(American) breakfast burritos with steak.

This place is amazing! My first visit I tried their (American) breakfast burritos with steak. It was full of flavor and they were not stingy with the meat. Also they have a coffee bar and the maple matcha is good! I had also tried their brown sugar shaken espresso w/ chocolate cold foam. Simply the best!!

Breakfast sizzle

We tried Casa Brunch in Downey and it did NOT disappoint! The food was so good. The Breakfast Sizzle was packed with flavor and came out hot and fresh you can tell they really care about quality. The huevos divorciados were honestly some of the best I've had in LA! Tostadas were crispy and never got soggy even with the sauce. The sauces were flavorful, perfectly balanced, and those beans?! SOOOO good. Like, don't-skip-the-beans good. My daughter ordered the kids pancakes with a fruit side they were fluffy, delicious, and perfectly portioned. I really appreciated that they cut the grapes in half such a small detail but so thoughtful and mom-approved. I ordered the Floor de Casa margarita and it was really good lots of flavor and the Tajín rim was on point! It paired perfectly with brunch. My husband ordered a cold brew and the flavor of the coffee really stood out smooth, bold, and done right. The decor was beautiful very modern, bright, and totally IG-approved. The vibe overall was great and the service was friendly. My only tiny complaint is that it was a smidge warm inside, but nothing that would stop us from coming back. Overall, such a great new brunch spot in Downey. We'll definitely be back!

Been here for brunch and today dinner. The service is really really good. Everyone is very friendly and talkative. The bar has very unique drinks. The food and music was a surprise, they had a gentlemen playing in the patio and everyone was joining in. The bar TVs, bar set up is very classy. Great job with the lighting. We are told they have a DJ on Friday nights and Saturday. We will be returning. Glad to see people enjoying a Sunday evening dancing in the patio and enjoying the ambiance.

Ate breakfast here on a Thursday morning, wasn't super busy so we were seated right away. The staff was extremely friendly and attentive. The ambience is chill, but did get louder as more people started walking in (though this is expected it's a restaurant) The food was great, but the portions are huge. I ordered the top sirloin omelet with potatoes on the side and it was great. A little too much cheese for my liking but everything was delicious. Asked for a salsa verde on the side and that was also super bomb. Also started with a coffee (brown sugar shaken espresso) and it's was amazing 10/10. Would come back here again to try other menu options.

sizzling plate with steak, tendon, egg, corn and that crispy side, add serranos trust me

First thing I notice when I walk into a spot is the coffee. If that's off, everything else gotta work twice as hard. Casa got it right. Coffee actually hits. Espresso got that real bite to it, not watered down at all. Feels like you somewhere in Italy for a second. You could tell your girl you're taking her to Italy and just bring her here, she'd understand. Food wise, I don't even really like pancakes like that. They usually leave me feeling heavy and sleepy after. But theirs are different. Light, still got substance, and you end up finishing the whole thing without thinking twice. Sizzling plate is where they really did their thing. Get it with tendon and add a side of serrano peppers. That little kick brings everything together. One of those orders you wish you got sooner. Haven't even gone through the whole menu yet, but you can tell this is one of those spots. Not just about the food, it's where you bring people, where you stay a little longer than planned. Casa Brunch feels like a place you come back to without needing a reason.

Cookie butter latte, chilaquiles verdes, and chilaquiles With steak
Nancy O.

The service was great despite them being busy the server constantly came around to ask if we were doing good and apologized for the delay on my latte. The food was amazing it was worth the wait, and I enjoyed the cookie butter latte it was just right it wasn't overly sweet at all. The place is very cute for brunch girly vibes with friends or even a little brunch date with your partner

Huevos Rancheros

First time eating at this restaurant. Beautiful interior and overall aesthetically pleasing. Tried the huevos rancheros, Spanish latte, and a variety of pancakes. Huevos rancheros were good, and so was the Spanish Latte. However, the pancakes were extremely dry and hard. The pancakes look good, but they are not good. We did mention this to our waitress, and no offers were made to try something else or rectify the inconvenience. Will wait a bit before going back. Hopefully they make their pancakes better.

Breakfast menu

We came in to try this new spot and had a mix of really great drinks and some timing issues with the food. Drinks were definitely the highlight. I ordered the Honey Pistachio (iced) -- it was strong, but the honey balanced it out perfectly and made it sweet and delicious. Rated it a 5/5. My daughter got the Strawberry Matcha with strawberry cold foam and she rated it a 5/5. My wife ordered the Vietnamese latte (iced) and also gave it a 5/5. All the drinks were solid. For food, I had the huevos rancheros (3/5). The tortilla felt a bit stale and hard to chew, but the sauce with the egg was good and tasted homemade, which I appreciated, just not something extraordinary. The potatoes were basic, nothing special, but the beans were 5/5 definitely the best part of the plate. Service timing was the main issue. We arrived around 11:45am and didn't get the first plate until about an hour later, and dishes didn't come out together. It was just two other orders of Nutella pancakes, and by 1:20pm (1.5hr later) we were told they were "almost ready," but when we asked to take them to go, we were then told they weren't ready at all. We ended up paying only for the huevos rancheros and the coffees. The vibe is cool, they play good music, and the waiters were nice. After waiting nearly two hours, we ended up going to Guachos instead. We were really looking forward to trying the pancakes, so hopefully next time the timing is better because the drinks were great and the vibe is cool. I'm giving it 3/5 and hoping the timing improves so we can actually come back and try the full food menu next time.

Mexican Breakfast burrito with Chorizo de la casa
Heather P.

I absolutely loved it here. Our waitress was so sweet and gave us great recommendations. I had the Mexican breakfast burrito with chorizo and it was amazing; the chorizo was flavorful and the hash browns were so crunchy, which perfectly balanced the other soft components. It came with a chipotle sauce that was smokey and delicious. I asked for a side of salsa verde and that was the perfect addition. The side of potatoes were a little undercooked but delicious also. I took them home anyways because it was SO much food. I had the brown sugar shaken espresso latte with oatmilk and it was one of the best latte's i've had in a while. Overall my husband and I loved it here, i highly recommend sharing a plate!

Bloody Mary was cool, from my experience the attention to detail and food quality was poor. Definitely wish I had a better experience.

Brunch, but make it a full-blown R&B sing-along!…read more We came to the Sunday R&B brunch at Mandala Cantina to celebrate a friend's birthday after seeing a few posts on IG and I'm so glad we decided to check it out. The vibe is the perfect mix of day club energy and brunch. Fun, lively, and just the right amount of hype for a Sunday afternoon. I haven't stepped foot in a club in ages, but this felt like the grown-up version of that energy and it made the whole experience even more fun. Service was fantastic from the start. Our server was incredibly sweet and set us up with the perfect table outside where we could catch both the indoor and the outdoor brunch crowd. Prime people-watching and great energy all around. Now for the food. We ordered the Mandala Wood Brunch Platter to share along with two bowls of the pozole. The platter is a great option for the table, but the pozole absolutely stole the show--perfectly cooked, rich, and packed with flavor. I also asked for both their spicy salsa and green salsa and we happily devoured both. We also went with the mimosa package which came with pineapple, lychee, and guava juices. Such a fun twist on the typical brunch lineup and honestly so delicious. Between the music, the great service, and the lively atmosphere, this is easily one of the most fun brunch experiences I've had in a long time. Safe to say this is officially going into our Sunday brunch rotation!

They As we are a primarily chicken household, I brought my family with me to try their chicken plates and creative chicken plates. My first initial thought walking into Chicken Koop is that it has calm party vibe... the reason I say this is because through our whole time in the restaurant, they were playing a lot of my favorite songs. For a second, I thought my phone had connected to their speakers, lol! Pictured below is the Fried Chicken Sandwich and the 1/2 Roasted Chicken Plate. The Friend Chicken Sandwich was so juicy and flavorful; the breaded chicken patty had a perfect crunch to it. The 1/2 Roasted Chicken Plate was also another delicious and great choice. The chicken was cooked perfectly- again no dry chicken and it was juicy w a crunchy outer skin. The Brussels sprouts can out perfectly as well.

The breaded seasoning had a distinct flavor that felt a bit "off" for a chicken and waffles pairing. The Waffles: it has good texture and taste. Seating: There are both indoor and outdoor seating options, and the bar is partially outdoors. Outdoor Vibe: The outdoor area is covered, but keep in mind there is no AC, so it can get quite warm. I'm glad I checked it off the list, but I didn't leave feeling like I needed to return.
