I love Thai food, so I decided to stop by Panvimarn Thai Cuisine in Long Beach and give it a try. When I walked in, the restaurant was clean and had a nice Thai-themed atmosphere and decor. There wasn't much of a wait, and the customer service was great. Everyone was friendly and welcoming. For my meal, I ordered the Golden Curry and the Nutty Chicken. Both dishes were absolutely delicious and packed with flavor. The curry was rich and flavorful, and the Nutty Chicken definitely did not disappoint. We've eaten here over the years every so often. I'm not very big into Thai food but I do love the Pad Sea Ew. We had a great experience here! The Tom Yum Goong soup had a strong sour flavor and tasted like it had quite a bit of lemon. The papaya salad was really good, and the beef salad had great flavor. The Thai BBQ pork was flavorful and had a nice grilled taste, although it was a little on the salty side. The customer service was excellent, and I loved the beautiful, stylish interior. Stopped by this Thai spot for dinner and we liked it. It's a bit small downstairs, but they've got more seating upstairs for bigger groups. We came during a non-peak hour and got seated right away, but the place still filled up pretty quickly. We kicked things off with the Panvimarn Delight, which is a sampler with egg rolls, satay, money bags, and fried wontons. Comes with dips and a little cucumber salad on the side, it is a perfect starter if you want to try a bit of everything. For mains, the papaya salad was super fresh and had that nice balance of sweet, tangy, and a little kick. It helped cut through the heavier dishes. The soft shell crab curry was definitely a highlight. It's rich, flavorful, and just really satisfying. Also didn't expect to like the crispy fish with mango salad as much as I did, but it was really good. The fish was crispy, the sauce had that tangy kick, and no fishy taste at all. Service was good. Parking is a little limited right by the back entrance of the restaurant, but there seems to be more parking just a few steps away, so it wasn't too bad. read more

This is our second time at this restaurant and the food were delicious. A little bit on the sweet side but overall tasted good. The portions are generous and good quality. The rice overall are harder then expected for what the Thai Jasmin rice texture would be like. The service was great. Attentive, friendly and accommodating. The restaurant is spacious. The decorations are nice and well thoughout. The restrroms are also clean. The reason for the 4 stars was the mango and sticky rice. As a Thai customer, the recipe of the sticky rice is not what you would expect ordering this seasonal dessert. They used what they called condensed coconut milk, the sticky rice is clear looking and tasted like coconut water with sugar syrup. The mango is good. We didn't have more than two bites. Long story short, the server offered to take the item off our bill. It is ultimately up to how the restaurant wants to make the dessert to offer to their customers. Everyone has our own experience and will have to decide for ourselves whether or not we like what offered to us. If you expected a traditional Thai Mango Sticky rice, I would not recommend ordering them. But if you are fine with trying different way of how to make sticky rice which is on the sweet sweet side. Panvimarn Thai is one of my go-to Thai restaurants within Cerritos-Long Beach radius. Its one of the fancier Thai restaurants around that consistently delivers ! The decor is nicely dine with a very striking Buddha statue and a very artistic wall greeting the guests. Always love everything we get here - Hot Stuff , Green Curry , Pad See Eew are our favorites but yes , almost everything we've had here has been great. I've been coming here for years and it's always been one of my go-to spots for Thai food. My all-time favorite dish is the Angel Wings--crispy chicken wings stuffed with ground pork, noodles, and veggies (kind of like an egg roll filling). They're packed with flavor and the cool cucumber sauce on the side balances it perfectly. Other dishes I really enjoy here are the papaya salad, pad thai, pad see ew, and crab fried rice. Most of the time, the food is spot-on, but tonight the pad see ew was noticeably saltier than usual, which was a little disappointing. The service is consistently good, and the staff is always friendly and attentive. Just a heads-up--this place gets packed during dinner hours, so expect a wait if you're dining in. Panvimarn might be my favorite Thai restaurant in Long Beach. If I lived closer to it, I'm certain I would eat it more often. I've been here countless times and I've never been disappointed. We have now been living in Lakewood for a few years now and pass by here almost every day. We finally decided to try it and we are happy we did. The decor is very clean and nice and at first it appears to be fairly small. However, once you go upstairs, you realize it is quite large. The service is amazing and everyone is very friendly. I like the beer selection and also the option of ordering the tower. The food is very good. The appetizer combo was a great variety and good sized portions. Roast Duck Noodle Soup $18.75 - Super rich yet light broth was surprising. Lots of noodles, normally not a fan of rice noodles, but these soup noodles really were picking up the broth flavor. Wouldve like more bean sprouts and cilantro tho. It was like heavily noodles and soup, and like 2-3 slices of duck and 3 more duck bone shards. Taste is great. Expensive tho for what youre getting imo. Was expensive before all the foodflation and its insane still. This was a reason i booked a flight to Thailand, similar dish over there was like converted around $6-8, just ignore the cost of a flight and hotel. Warning - this place doesnt include rice with curry dishes which is around $20-30 for the curry itself. You have to separately pay $3 for the rice. Im not sure who eats curry without rice or a carb of some sort? Like in my head the default across cuisines is rice. Fancy fusion japanese place maybe give u noodles instead. But here charging separate for the rice is such a nickel n dime its off putting. Which is a shame cuz their duck curry has been delightful (havent found another place quite like this) The parking lot entrance is along Carson side. If going south on Bellflower, then right at Carson, and its the immediate opening on your right into a super tiny lot. Interior is spacious, dark, a little too much AC. I LOVE this place! Their pineapple fried rice is the best and my favorite I've had so far in Los Angeles. Their chicken satay is great. The special Pad Thai, the one with the spice, is awesome. They had cashew nut chicken, but it was fried and had a sweet and tangy sauce, similar to an orange chicken sauce. Their Thai tea is also creamier, sweeter, and a bit different from most other spots. Service is awesome! The staff is always so chill. They remembered our faces after coming here a few times. Attention to detail and great memory! Always on their round and check-ins. I've never had to flag them down for a water refill. The restaurant itself is very laid back. Huge chandelier and a bar area, a couple of TVs with sports or news on. Very decent cocktails too! Went to this place for take-out during the weekday for their lunch special and it was okay. We got the salmon lunch special and the thai rib special. The food was not really "thai" food in my opinion but granted we did get the lunch specials. The flavors were a bit lacking for both the salmon and the thai ribs. I didn't really enjoy much of it but I guess you get what you pay for. I don't think I'll come back but maybe if I do I may try to dine in and try their thai dishes and maybe it will change my mind. The inside is very clean and when you enter, you are greeted by the waiter who will take you to your seat. You can select either dine in or take out. I selected dine in for the experiance. Overall the ambiance is very unique and has a charming Thailand vibe to it with the statue decoration and gilded adornments. Around me, the chatter isn't too overbearing and I enjoyed how lively the area is. The waiter helped me with my questions and reassured me with my concerns. If you have allergies, as always, I would recommend you to inform the waiter beforehand for better experiance. Waited a few minutes for my food, didn't take too long for me to receive it. Good timing. When the food came in, the Pad Thai looked absolutely delicious. If you have a preference for a more saucy Pad Thai, you may enjoy this location. The food came in clean. Fresh noodles and very chewy. Although, I do wish that the Pad Thai could have a bit more flavor and spice. But overall satisfied with the meal and expecting to come back another time to maybe try out some of the other dishes. I also do recommend that the restaurant has a better packaging for the Pad Thai instead of a small plastic box. Had never heard of this place but a friend who lives in Long Beach suggested it so we gave it a go. Started with the Golden Wings which are stuffed with noodles, shrimp, black mushrooms and cabbage. Never had such a thing before but it was very tasty with the sauce and also filling. Next we had the Tom Yum Goong (shrimp) which was very sour and full of huge pieces of shrimp. Then moved on to the Thai BBQ Pork and Pad Thai for our main. It was a lot of food but all of it was delicious and I was so happily full when we left. The spicy pineapple margarita was refreshing and not spicy. Found it odd being served in a martini glass but it served its purpose. Servers were very attentive and took good care of us as well. The inside of the restaurant looks small downstairs but is huge since it has an upstairs as well. I never understand the decor in Thai restaurants but it was definitely eclectic. read more

About a year ago, I came to this place with my family and I remember thinking the food wasn't really good anymore. What happened to this place? This used to be my family's favorite Thai restaurant in Long Beach. I gave it another try and came back just recently. Fried rice was undercooked and clumped together. Papaya salad lacked flavor. Got to try this spot for the first time yesterday and it was amazing. Got their Thai iced green tea, one of the best I've had and many other food options. My favorite was definitely the panvimarn fried rice, panvimarn ribs and their Panang curry. A little hole in the wall place from the outside looks unassuming. When you enter, the decor transports you to a fancy restaurant. The only complaint is the seating areas. Food is excellent, but be careful about heat levels when ordering spicy. Medium spicy was more than medium. We ordered the shrimp curry, and the Korean BBQ beef (yes, I know it isn't Thai). We ordered take out and they forgot to include utensils. We were planning to go eat on the beach but were disappointed to see that we didn't have anything to eat with. It was really annoying having to find a place to get spoons and forks when we were expecting our order to have them. We ordered the duck soup. The broth was a bit salty, but came with a good amount of meat and vegetables. I got the spicy jungle noodles. It was pretty good. I like the different flavors and the portion was a decent size We also got Thai teas that were 70% ice, they were also super sweet.
