Was in the neighborhood and wanted a light lunch after a good workout. What's lighter than a few scoop of poke in a poke bowl??. Plenty of parking spaces so a quick pick up was easy breezy. The inside is super cute! The workers greet you immediately with a friendly welcome. And answered any questions I had. My only questions were about their sauces (which I always put in a separate container so I can dip later) the bar is pretty similar to other poke places. Everything was kept clean and organized. I would definitely be back to try their drinks also next time.

Haven't had poke in a while and this hit the spot!! Fish was fresh, and the topping selection was superb. We even tried sparkling matcha which proved to be better than expected. There is some seating but not a ton for a large group. Their service was kind and efficient. Would definitely return to satisfy another craving !

First LOVE the food. I first discovered Poke.Co when they first opened. The owner told me "you're going to love our fish. It's better than my usual place around the corner. (Now I've eaten poke in 8 different countries in over 40 cities. I LOVE POKE! Poke.Co is in my top 5. I issue is...EVERY TIME I come here, my chest hurts just a little. I go & I feel like a 10 year old asking for a favor...I'm 62. I should not feel anxiety going to have lunch. Let me explain. Their process is to make these pretty little bowls with a scoop of this here, a scoop of that, there...the toppings all nicely placed. That's great but I like my fish & toppings mixed together and then served on top of the rice and it's a pain to mix it all together in the bowl. They have steel bowls in the back. When I come in, I tell them, "you're going to mix the toppings tougher, please get one of the bowls from the kitchen to mix the toppings together. Today...Employee (Elise maybe -Tues Mar 17at 1:30pm -short w/glasses), "We put in in the bowl", Me,"I like all my fish and toppings mixed together so if you use the bowl you can just she says, " well I'm just gonna put it all in first to get the portions correct". I tell her, "OK if that works for you". because she was giving attitude. I get it...I've asked you to change your process, but whether you mix the toppings and fish or not..."Not your ranch, not your cattle." You're not making anything more an hour whether I leave happy or dissatisfied. (I'm there generally 6 times a month) Anyway, the other thing? They portion using scoopers. So the argument made no sense...AND the fish go in a clear plastic cup, NOT THE BOWL while they make it. I realized at that point, her ego was involved... why? So she does it her way......we get to the end where she mixes the fish together, she starts to mix and I tell her, "oh don't mix yet, you're going to add the toppings." She continues mixing for a few more seconds like I hadn't said anything and tell her, what toppings I wanted. She puts those on top of the takeout bowl... I tell her, "I don't understand this process "... She then says, "I'll go get the bowl now." And does. She brings it back and then dumps everything including rice into the mixing bowl. At this point I'm pretty done. I say, "stop. I didn't ask it to all be mixed together. You didn't listen to me. I told you specifically I wanted my fish and toppings mixed on top of the rice. She says, "I can scoop out the rice." And she does. She then mixes the fish and toppings together and pours it over the rice, (as she shakes her head). I started to walk out but honestly, I've spent the last 3 months overseas and I have been craving Poke Co. It is the best but I'm no longer feeling good when I go because I never know if the employee is going to be pleasant or perturbed that I've asked them to do something outside of their process. I think it's time for another Long Beach poke spot...one where I feel welcome to eat my food the way I want it. I was super excited to see a poke restaurant opening in this plaza so I knew I had to try it! I got a 3 Scoop Medium Poke Bowl with White Rice, Salmon, Tuna, and Tako. I was really excited because I find it hard to find poke restaurants serving octopus. The fishes were delicious and super fresh! I got recommended the Spicy Mayo and Orange Garlic sauce by an employee. Usually at other poke places, the Spicy Mayo barely has any spice, but this Spicy Mayo actually has a kick, and it's so good! My sister got Spicy Tuna in her poke bowl and just like the Spicy Mayo, usually no spice, but here, it actually does have spice! The employees were so kind! I've never been at this specific poke restaurant so I took a while looking at the menu, the proteins and toppings, and I had a couple questions. They were super patient as well. The restaurant is really bright, clean, and it has a ton of seating. There's seating inside the restaurant, and there's seating right outside. There were no people eating inside or outside the restaurant so I believe people mostly grab-and-go rather than sit. I would come here again! The Spicy Mayo and Spicy Tuna surprised me, and I'm so happy they were spicy. There's tons of drink options and tofu options that I want to try!

    Poke bowl with no sauce

Ordered a poke bowl that I PAID $30 for and it had zero sauce on it! Then when I called into the store the worker was questioning me if I was "sure" there was no sauce on it. Then she said "I'll let the manager know," and hung up. They called me and told me to "bring my bowl back" after I ordered delivery. Everyone makes mistakes but the least you can have is good service ‼WOULD NOT RECOMMEND ‼

Since cooking with heat is not part of the poke preparation, the quality of the ingredients makes the greatest impact when it comes to the making of the perfect poke. This is exactly what you get at The Poke Co. Even though it's part of a chain store, we felt right at home when we were greeted with smiling faces. The staff patiently walked us through the process and made personal recommendation for our selection. The vegetables tasted so fresh, and the fish was succulent to match. There were plenty of toppings to pick from, which made it hard to decide because they all looked so good. The wide variety of sauces also allowed meticulous customization. In addition to the poke, they also offer fanciful Hawaiian-themed drinks and boba. What I didn't expect were the exotic flavored potato chips with authentic Chinese labels. We tried the hot pot flavored ones, and it really tasted like a Sichuan hot pot. The interior of the restaurant was small but very clean. If we didn't have our dog with us, we would have dined in the store.

Really great place! We were a little confused (drove around the parking lot once trying to find the spot, they don't have a sign on the building yet) but when we found it, we were not disappointed. Service was great, environment was clean and functional. The poke was delicious and very refreshing: just what you need on a warm summer day. The fish (tuna, tako, etc.) is delicious and the rice (we chose white rice ) sides, sauces, were all tasty and overall very filling. We loved it! Thank you!

We always order Poke co. for lunch at work. The fish is fresh and you get so much for the price. Beware if you like spicy tuna or spicy salmon!!! You haven't had real spice like this! Definitely not for beginners. Today, I was in the area and decided to stop in since we usually order off DoorDash or Uber eats. The restaurant is super cute! Very clean and well kept. The ladies who helped me were very nice and friendly. Today I got the small bowl with brown rice, spicy tuna, and salmon. I also decided to try the fried crab chips, they were surprisingly delicious.

I'm the worst at taking pictures. Half spicy tuna half , salmon, imitation crab, beets, edamame, ponzu, greens and rice.

I'm the worst at taking pictures. But this poke bowl was so good!!!! I'll have to take a better picture next time ! Love the options they have and their poke taste delicious and clean! So good!

    Medium Poke Bowl (3 Scoops)
    Mai H.

Had the medium poke bowl for lunch and it was filling and satisfying. The medium bowl comes with 3 scoops of fish. I got 2 scoops of salmon and 1 scoop of spicy salmon. The spicy salmon is spicier than I expected, but was really good. The Kumquat Green Tea was refreshing and I actually tasted the tea, unlike other places. Unagi Musubi was tasty as well. Would recommend!

    Large Poke Bowl (4 scoops)
    Jacob C.

Tasty, but sparse on ingredients. I would not order again. I ordered a large 4 scoop bowl and was given 2.5 scoops at most. This is why I typically stick to my local Poké shops or Poké Bar.

Found this spot while in the area. I love poke and this place was good! Pricey but I guess it's in the price range. Employees were nice! It was a bit cold inside so we dined outside.

This was my first time coming to The Poke Co and I had such a wonderful experience. The person who took my order was super nice. She was bubbly, helpful, and welcoming. She also mentioned she was training so she was a bit nervous but she did amazing! As for the food, I got a medium bowl that comes with 3 proteins and the poke was so filling. The fish was flavorful and fresh. They do have promotions during the week so I will be back! There is indoor seating and they have other non-fish options on the menu.

The Banana Pudding was creamy without being overly sweet, and the Lemon Poppy had a really nice lemon flavor. I also ordered the Zombie Coffee with banana cream. One thing to know: there is no restroom available, so keep that in mind if you're planning to sit and enjoy your donuts and coffee. Great flavors, fresh donuts, strong coffee, friendly service, and plenty to choose from even later in the day. We found this place completely by accident, but we will definitely be back! I came by for an evening boba and no one (customers) was there! I started to order from the kiosk,…read morebut then the cashier came out and offered to take my order, which was very nice and customer-service oriented. It had been a while since I was last at Boba Guys so I needed a second to peruse the menu. I asked the cashier which ones didn't have caffeine and he helpfully pointed out options. I chose Korean Banana Milk, a flavor I had never tried before, because it contained oat milk. I added boba to it. The drink was a little bit sweet but it was good. There was a lot of seating in the breezeway where Boba Guys is located. I took my drink to go.

Is Boba Guys a ghost kitchen and maybe I'm just not tapped in??? I've been here quite a few times…read moreover the years and my feelings are still all over the place tbh. I've never had a drink I didn't enjoy but almost every interaction with a worker that I've had here has always been very awkward or strange, my most recent visit being the strangest to date so that's what this review will be about. I was shopping in the area yesterday and really wanted a nice cold tea so I naturally thought to go to Boba guys. They've added a self service kiosk since I've last visited but the group in front of my was currently using it so I decided to wait in line either for a cashier to come to the register (because all of the workers were in the kitchen) or for the group in front to finish. A minute or two passes and a worker peeks her head out from the back and looks at me so I politely wave to gesture that I was waiting and she like ran behind the wall and didn't come to help. This was strange but a little while after the self service register opened so I just went there but another group gets in line behind me now and the girl comes out and stands at the register which is really close to the self serve thing and is trying to gesture the customers over but they're not responding and idk I didn't look over but I could just feel the awkward energy. I finished placing my order and she was still there so I said thank you and she just ignored me again. I'm a bit of a socially awkward person myself so I'm trying to rack my head around that interaction as I wait and on the kiosk it said it would text me when my order was ready, but after some pondering I look up and a drink is sitting on the table and my name was on the receipt so I just took it even though i didn't receive a text or hear them call. It was delicious and refreshing of course I forget the name but it was from the summer seasonal menu. About an hour passes and I am long gone on the way to LA to see my friends, and I get a text on my phone saying that my order at boba guys is ready for pickup? If this is a ghost kitchen I think the notification system needs some work but I think it was maybe an error. To conclude as someone who is also a cashier, I completely understand that it's hard to engage with every customer and some customers just want to get their product and go, but I think treating everyone with an baseline level of kindness and hospitality is really important when it comes to serving the public. Yes the drinks are good but the vibe is kind of wack.

Ehhh, very overrated boba shop, imo. Picked up on this place due to some social media posts I got…read moreshown by friends, but the jelly they show on top of the drinks is actually just a topping that ends up in the drink. It's...ok? I've tried a few of their drinks, but I don't find the tea tasting special at all. The jelly are fine, but also nothing particularly stand out. My first visit I waited like 20mins near closing, which is waaaay better than the hour it was beforehand. And on a recent visit there was essentially no wait. I'm not sure I'd come back as I have other boba shops I much prefer nearby me.

Hechalou ceased to exist at this location. I suspect that owners broke away from the franchise and…read morestarted their own boba business at the same location. They changed the name subtle enough to avoid a lawsuit, but the changes in the menu and the quality of the drinks are far more drastic, and it's not for the better. Gone are the traditional teas and sesame jelly that made Hechalou so famous. These options are replaced by cheap imitations of Starbucks' frothy drinks that sound good on paper but taste like iced piss with sugar. The drinks are excessively sweet, a mortal sin by Asian standard, and they have a generic taste that might as well have one item on the entire menu. Alas, to get a sip of the old favorites, now I have to drive across town instead of stop by after work. I am glad that I got my many trips here before the old guards died, and it's probably better for my hemoglobin A1c in the long run.
