I crave Musubi, Hawaiian BBq hits the spot. The bowls are generous and the meat is cooked to order, delicious sauce and fresh veggies.

3 stars My mom wanted saimin because she was missing Hawaii and it was a rather breezy day in LB today. So, she got the Spam Saimin ($7.95). It was decent...the broth wasn't too salty. The noodles were slightly overdone, but it was still edible. The spam was spamming. Service was friendly. Outdoor seating is available. I'll definitely be back to try other items.

Visited during daytime hours and unfortunately saw a roach in the dining area, along the wall near the seating. This wasn't in a hidden corner or after closing -- it was visible while customers were actively dining. I understand restaurants can have challenges, but seeing pest activity in the dining area during the day raises serious concerns about cleanliness and pest control practices. It made me uncomfortable continuing my meal. I quietly left and won't be returning. Hopefully management takes this seriously and addresses it promptl

I'm not sure how long this location has been around, but truthfully I was in the area and planning to go to a different place a couple doors down from here. Suddenly I noticed several folks wearing scrubs stopping in for their lunch break and figured, why not try something new? I'd consider this place a hole in the wall that offers a variety of Hawaiian options! We went for a loco moco and a couple unique masbuis. The loco moco was an outstanding size! Definitely shareable if needed and the masbui was a great value for what you paid for, I can't wait to try more of the different masbuis! This is definitely a gem of a Hawaiian cuisine that is surrounded by several great places for takeout, so if you're in the area, add this place to your rotation of takeout restaurants when you're craving a masubi or some Hawaiian bbq!

So I have gone here since it was L&L... so I suppose I have high standards. I didn't really enjoy this place the last few times but there isn't much choice for Hawaiian bbq in the immediate area.... So I tried again. First- the macaroni salad is HORRIBLE. I always think it's me but it's just terrible and chemical tasting. No flavor. Prob could enjoy grocery store macaroni better. The meat is okay. A little dry. Atleast the white rice is good. Tbh, stick to the musubi. More bang for your buck and you don't have to suffer this horrible macaroni. Only reason I gave 3 starts

It got the job done. I am no longer hungry, but I can't say I particularly enjoyed it. I wouldn't drive across town for this experience. It was mainly fuel. I got the Hawaiian Plate ($17.50), which included Kalua Pork and Lau Lau (butterfish & fatty pork cooked in 2 different types of leaves, like a fish/pork tamale without the masa), plus white rice and macaroni salad. I also ordered a Spam Musubi ($2.50). Total came out to around $23 w/ tip included. The best word I can use to describe the overall flavor of everything was "old." It just didn't taste freshly made. Like it had been sitting in a slow cooker or heating tray too long. It wasn't bright and refreshing. Just tasted like yesterday's news. There were unique menu items on there. I mean, how often do you see Lau Lau on the menu in southern California? But, the food flavor and quality wasn't the best.

Came for lunch. My coworker walked across from work to go to Uncle Fung but to find out they are closed due to unsanitary conditions of the staff. Bummer... so we decided to go to LB Hawaiian. We both ordered mini meals. My coworker ordered teriyaki chicken with veggies, no rice or macaroni. Her portions came out tiny. I ordered the Katsu curry that came with 1 scoop rice and 1 scoop macaroni. I also ordered side of fries and 1 Hawaiian can drink. My meal came out to be $18-$19. I really enjoyed my meal. I get to dip my Katsu in the Katsu sauce and the curry sauce. I love sauce. And it was perfect combo for me. The fries were freshly fried but they were fat fries so I didn't really enjoyed they as much.

    Perfect lunch spot!

I consider this spot more of a grab and go, however, there is both indoor and outdoor seating. The staff is very efficient and the kitchen cranks out orders fast. I am a huge fan of their spam musubi, easy on the sauce, and my husband loves their BBQ Chicken plate. Lots of parking, flavors are consistent order to order and the macoroni salad is a must. Enjoy!!

No curry, no solution to the problem. Don't get delivery from this place

What happen to the Musubi? The size has gotten smaller... I came here 'cause the portion was a decent size now it's half of what it used to be... very disappointed.

Most of our customers ask for musubi with easy rice and it is approx. 2 oz of rice less than before. Please ask for extra rice next time when you visit our location. We will be more than happy to comply.…

You can sit outside and grill your own food or dine inside and have the BBQ brought out already cooked. I chose inside tonight because, honestly, I went out specifically so I wouldn't have to cook. LOL. Our server, Kelly, was fantastic. Super friendly, great recommendations, and she guided us toward ordering family‑style so we could try a bit of everything. And yes, Korean food also means Soju. We had the Jinro Peach Soju, and it was dangerously easy to drink. I sipped, but it definitely goes down like juice. Service overall was perfect. Even when Kelly stepped away, other staff checked in just enough so we never felt ignored or constantly interrupted. It was that ideal balance you hope for but rarely get. We arrived before the dinner rush, and I'm glad we did because the restaurant isn't very big. I can only imagine the wait once things get busy. If you're craving Korean food, stop by. I'm already planning to return with a bigger group and sit outside--looks like it would be such a fun experience.

Came back with a group of six (3 Koreans, 3 Filipinas) to try their newish KBBQ grill-your-own…read moremeats on their covered outdoor front patio. Service was excellent, food amount was generous, and taste was OK...though the KBBQ doesn't really compare well to the ones in K-Town or Garden Grove. Four of us had never been here before, so came on a Wednesday late morning, as soon as they opened at 11am. There is dedicated parking behind the restaurant, where we found spots for our two cars. We were the first customers for the day, and picked a table for six in the front. It was right next to the busy sidewalk (which folks use their bicycles and motorized scooter on), so wouldn't choose this spot next time. But since we wanted to try their KBBQ for six, it was the only spot available. The grill is a typical set-up that you can do at home, with a portable butane canister and a caldron style grill (kinda out of fashion to use as KBBQ these days, especially outside). The party let me order, so ended up getting the following. 1 Seoul Sunrise Fish Bowl ($25) - an agave infused orange, pineapple, grenadine, and soda cocktail with a whole chamisul bottle of soju. Really a nice sight that all of us tried, and we agreed that it was refreshing for a humid day like this day. Moo's Combo (Large for $140) - it had Prime Brisket, Beef Belly, ribeye bulgogi (other choice being Prime Flat Iron), prime kkotsal boneless short rib (other choice being prime marinated boneless galbi). It comes with Corn Cheese (decent), rice cake skewers (good), crispy pork dumpling (kind you buy from h-mart, and cooked well), a small pre-dressed salad, and various banchan. I asked for rice paper (which they were bigger), and each person got a series of 3 dipping sauces (none of them memorable). All the meat came at once, and had to be grilled individually. Because it was warm outside, a lot of the meat became room temperature. The meat quantity was great (more than I expected), but the quality was just OK and nobody at the table really praised the taste too much. For me, it was OK and would try something else on their menu next time. Popcorn Five Spice chicken wings ($17) - on their collaboration menu with Midnight Oil, enjoyed by my wife and her mom. Scallion Pancake ($15.99) - it was OK, a large amount with 6 generous slices...just wish it was a lot thinner, with more scallions and crispiness. 2 Orders of Busan Mackerel ($9.99 each) - I had gotten this last time, and really liked it, so wanted to share with my other Korean dining partners. It was just OK this time, not as crispy as before. Note that it has a lot of pin bones that weren't all removed. We were able to refill the banchan and I took advantage for my favorites. I really like the kimchi here, and will always eat a lot of the fish cake (which I really like here). They use Toast as the POS, and the large bill was accurate, including a 18% gratuity since we were a party of six. What I really liked about it, was that even though it was very slow (we were the only customers dining in so early in the afternoon), the service and food quality was the same as what I would expect at a busier time. And their menu is as diverse and varied as any I've seen at Korean restaurants. Overall a good experience: would try their lunch specials next time, sitting inside.
