The headline is simple: the food is genuinely good, the wait is unreasonably long. Portion sizes felt fair for the price in this area. Two staffers tried to do everything and the bottleneck was obvious. Orders through delivery tablets kept bumping the in-store queue. Bottom line: I'd return for the quality, but only during off-peak hours, or I'd order ahead.

The best build your own poke bowl in Long Beach. They don't skimp portions and ingredients are fresh. All three bowl sizes are generously filled. Many options of proteins, veggies, and toppings like crispy onions and garlic. Great sauce choices you can mix to get the flavor profile of your dreams. Quality poke bowl for less than a meal at McDonalds. They also offer instant ramen and spam masubi.

We visited Long Beach location after a visit at pacific aquarium. The restaurant was very busy that day. They ran out of various popular items like avacado, chicken, baked salmon etc but we ordered from whatever available options we had. They have a sauce combination chart that you can try. Salmon tested fresh and tasted good. They also carry mochi icecream, boba, Thai tea and different soda options. Good place to try when you choose healthy meal

Went out to lunch in Long Beach, and I was craving poke. I haven't had poke since Hawaii. Parking: We found metered street parking down the street and walked to the spot. Ambiance/Environment: It's a small space with some indoor seating and one table outside. It's a very casual spot. Decently clean. Service: When we walked in, we were directed to fill out the order sheet. You'd check box everything you want in your Poké bowl on the order sheet, but you can also order other items from the menu. The worker could improve on her professionalism, but she was quick & efficient. What we ordered: 1) Large Poké bowl - 2 bases, 4 proteins, half brown rice & half spring mix, ahi tuna, salmon, spicy tuna, seared albacore topped w/ carrots, cilantro, corn, cucumber, edamame, pineapple, sweet onions, spicy house sauce, spicy mayo sauce, seaweed salad, crispy garlic, masago, sesame seeds, furikake. Everything tasted fresh! The bowl was also packed. My favorite proteins are the salmon and ahi! 2) Grilled Salmon Bowl - This had a generous amount of rice. I'd prefer another piece of salmon. Though, it was cooked well and the sauce was delicious. 3) Ramen - I noticed they had a ramen machine. We first purchased the ramen at the register and chose our toppings. Then we were given a bowl. It was very easy to follow the instructions! 4) Matcha Green Tea - This was supposedly their popular drink. It was decent .. I'd describe it as mediocre. Definitely not premium matcha. The boba tasted as expected. Pricing: The Poké bowl was definitely worth its price. I really enjoyed my bowl.

I came here for lunch and got the cooked salmon bowl. This was my first time having Poké and I will say it was an interesting taste. Different than what I am used to but not bad. The thing that threw me off was that the salmon was cold. I do not usually eat cold food so I was shocked. The flavors that I got were the house spicy, sweet chili, and sesame oil. The owner was very sweet and very caring. I would definitely recommend this place if you like Poké or like trying something new. The inside is small but very clean and inviting.

Food: is almost like every other poke spot but this place is very generous on there food and doesn't charge a lot like other places that gives you less portion. Service: staff is very friendly and knowledgeable of what sauce to choose from. Ambiance: very simple and modern. Definitely would come here again.

Loved the ambiance the server was super friendly and not stingy on portions. Right across from the hotel. Definitely a place to come when coming to LB. PS don't come within 10 min of closing. It gets mad crazy

Heavy! Large poke bowl no base added 3 extra scopes of fish!

Poke bar was conveniently located next to my hotel so it was a must that I stop in. It was so good I ate there two days in a row because the flavors were haunting me and wouldn't stop me from craving it. My favorite part of Poke bar is the paper menu that you fill out to ensure your bowl is made exactly the way you want! I ordered up a large bowl with 3 added scopes of fish each time with no base. Yup no rice, salad or chips, just a bowl full of fish and toppings! And I'll tell you what after a long workout I thought I'd demolish this bowl but half way through I was slowing down. The bowl was heavy!! Hands down my favorite meal when I was in town!

Wow! Who knew such a healthy option was here, in between Downtown Long Beach and the beginning of Alamitos Beach. Tucked away but a whole different world when you walk in: it's large, clean, modern looking and you're welcomed almost immediately when walking in the door with a smile. I got an ahi/tofu bowl with all the fixings and I am wildly impressed with the freshness of it all. They took all of about 20 minutes to put together my order and it was ready when I walked in. Will be back!

One thing I truly love about this location is they have so many choices!!! They are well known for their "this is how we bowl poke bowls made your way" fast, fresh and served with a smile! All of their ingredients are fresh and sushi grade seafood is used in all their bowls. First you choose your protein, then your mix ins, sauces, sides and toppings. At the Long Beach location you can also get your proteins cooked should you or your friends not like raw ingredients. Which is amazing because so many times I have a poke craving and if I am with my friends that don't eat raw, we just don't go. Craving does not get fulfilled. At the Long Beach location you can bring your friends and everyone can enjoy all the freshness and create their own bowl!! They also have a ramen station where you have several choices. For dessert they offer an array of frozen delights including ice cream mochi

Not bad if you need something quick but there is definitely better in the area. Fish quality is okay but portions are big for the price. They no longer accept the Yelp Check In deal which is something to note. Overall, not bad but would probably pick something else up next time.

It was a great one and I was very pleased with it…read more The parking was a little confusing as there was construction going on in the back area where parking and the front entrance is. It shares parking with a couple other business and the entrance is just off the alleyway off Carson. Construction in the back did halt some of the parking spaces and entrance on one side. I didn't know where the entrance was walking around the block which found out later that the entrance was where parking is. I believe you could get on the waitlist but it was still early during lunch time when we arrived that it wasn't necessary. The restaurant itself isn't that big. A good amount of Asian modern style seating. Menu is pretty limited but gets down to the punch. Ramen, a couple of rice dishes and starters. Basically it. They had some alcoholic drink options too. We started off with some beers, the crispy chicken which was really nice. Thick chunks of thighs lightly deep fried and served with a dipping sauce. Juicy and tender. Entrees, the tonkatsu which you could make into a combo that comes with a side salad, and with salmon poke bowl or spicy tuna bowl for an additional fee. The broth for the ramen was quite tasty and paired really well with everything that added to it. And very filling. Also had the pork rice bowl with pork chashu, green onions, poached egg, spinach on top of rice. That was quite tasty and filling as well. There's a small and large option. Lastly the vegan ramen with sesame miso broth, broccolini, corn, bean sprouts, soy meat, tofu, baby kale with chili oil. Food was quite tasty and very filling. Service was great with friendly staff. Didn't take long for the items to arrive. The place isn't that big so it does get busy.

We ordered via third party app because the preparation of the poke sounded intriguing and different. The food came in cute packaging. When we opened the containers, in my opinion there was too much rice/quinoa to fish portion. I did enjoy the taste of the poke. It had bits of sour notes from the apple dressing, which is different from what you normally order with poke. The avocado balances out the sourness. And the poke surprisingly pairs well with quinoa. The pork buns were really delicious! It has that umami taste you look for when eating pork. The meat was very tender - easy to bite and chew. The bun was nice and soft - had good texture. And the onions that came on it was good. You don't get that oniony, bitter taste that lingers in your mouth. Overall, I enjoyed the food. Poke was good but idk if I'd order it again because the rice-fish portions are off. But I definitely need to try the ramen cos I know that's what they're known for.

Upon arriving, we were greeted and asked to sit to wait for a table. It was busy but not crowded. Once seated, they were fairly quick to come and take our order. We ordered: 1. Satay chicken 2. Yellow Curry with Chicken 3. Beef Pad See Ew and 4. Shrimp Pad Thai Everything was absolutely amazing! The restaurant itself is nice and clean, including the restrooms, which I always appreciate. The staff was very customer service oriented and did a great job making suggestions and giving tips about the menu and spice levels, which was super helpful. I started with the Money Bags, which are basically fried dumplings. Mine were a little overcooked, almost close to burnt. They still had decent flavor, but I'd personally rate them about a 2.9 out of 5. I also had the green papaya salad with mild spice, and the spice level was perfect, especially for people who are sensitive to heat. I usually stick around medium spice at Thai restaurants, but even the mild here still gives you a nice kick. For my drink, I got the Thai tea, which came topped with a Thai tea popsicle that slowly melted into the drink. Such a cute touch, creative, and tasty. For my entrée, I had the basil garlic sauce with sliced steak and a side of rice, which I really enjoyed. For dessert, we shared the mango sticky rice. It was good, but I do feel like it was a little overpriced for the portion size. Maybe part of that is because of the specialty rice they use that has the purple hue. I know a few places in Long Beach where you can get more for the same price. That said, the presentation was really cute with the flower garnish and everything looked beautiful. The atmosphere was nice. It has an open kitchen concept, so you can actually see the cooking happening, which adds to the experience. Seating is somewhat limited and the tables are fairly close together in certain sections, especially where the divider walls are, so you can definitely hear nearby conversations depending on where you sit. Great food, clean restaurant, and strong customer service. I'd definitely come back. Flavor Profile (for reference): Umami-forward (savory, salty depth) Acidic or bright (tangy + sour) Pungent and intense (spicy and bitter notes) Drink Preference (for reference): Bitter-forward cocktails Balanced acidity Light sweetness only, not overly sugary
