I sorta regret getting the bowl, I wish I just got the poke by itself. I don't think the rice/greens were worth the price. The shrimp tempura was good, but more of a katsu than tempura. The service was super friendly! I wouldn't get the shrimp again personally, but I'd go back for the poke for sure! The tuna had a great taste and seemed fresh. I've had this place bookmarked for so long because I haven't had it in YEARS, but I just discovered that it's right next to the ice rink that I skate at which is super dangerous for my wallet. The spicy garlic was a little too spicy for me, but the spicy mayo tuna was just perfect. I would absolutely come here again on a Tuesday for their special. Customer service was decent. When I ordered my food here, they have the poke in a container in the fridge for the to-go orders only? I'm not sure if that's smart because it tasted like its been sitting in that fridge for a while. But when I took it to go, the fish looked and tasted old and was on the mushy side. I was also really confused with all of their flavors. Also I can't eat spicy foods often but literally every flavor except a couple are not spicy which was really frustrating. (Shoyu and another one). I'm a big poke connoisseur and this is at the bottom of the list recently. If you get a regular poke bowl, then you get your choice of fish with two toppings and it's served over the rice. I ordered my salmon poke bowl special and I got "wasabi salmon" and "spicy garlic" flavors. I have to say that I enjoyed this meal. I decided to check this place out based on a recommendation and it did not disappoint. Got the traditional poke bowl with salmon creamy Japanese and tuna spicy miso. Staff was very helpful with my first order and were very friendly. I want to share this unfortunate personal event that occurred at the restaurant in case there is a miraculous resolution: I came in with my husband and daughter, who was carrying with her a very beloved pink bag with some of her favorite toys inside. She hung it excitedly on one of the chair benches inside (as she's seen myself do on many prior occasions with my own bag). Unfortunately because of everything I was carrying, I forgot about her bag, as did she, when we left. When I realized a few hours later, it was already stolen. The staff kindly checked their whole restaurant for me and even reviewed the footage for me to verify that it was taken by someone else. If you are reading this and are the parent whose child took the bag, I beg you to PLEASE RETURN IT TO THE RESTAURANT. No questions asked, I understand how kids can take stuff that may not belong to them. We don't care about the toys inside, we JUST WANT THE BAG back. The staff have generously taken down my phone number in case they retrieve it and will return it to me. The pink bag has tremendous sentimental value to my daughter.
