Quite literally the worst experience I've ever had with any fast food restaurant. The first time I came in here the cashier offered me cookies. I took her suggestion and payed for three cookies. When I went to take a bite out of the cookies they were stale, tasted like old fridge. It's cool I should've figured, it's subway. The next time I went in, I frequent this place a lot since I'm working in the area, I mentioned to the other cashier the cookies were stale. Regretted saying anything immediately since the cashier with the red rocket lipstick took offense and let me know she physically touches all the cookies every morning to ensure they are not stale and if I wanted a refund I should've brought the cookies in. I let her know I wasn't asking for a refund just wanted to let them know since it's a selling point they got me on. Left the establishment and tried giving them a second chance today...nope. Never again. Ordered through the app to avoid confrontation and they left my veggie patty out of the sandwich. Didn't say anything when I went to pick up my order. They blocked off their bathroom with a shelf so no one can use it. Also half of the employees were gone when we came in. I got a foot long sandwich today for lunch for take out. It was $17.12 and I handed over $20.12. The cashier (it seems she was a manager as well) handed me over the sandwich and disappeared to the kitchen. NO CHANGE. I waited and she did not come out. I told another employee who went to the kitchen. The employee came out but the cashier took a long time to come out to give the changes and the receipt. She apologies but it seems not genuine. I wonder how many times she tried this tactic and how many people decided to leave without bothering to get the change. While I was there, she was berating a new female employee and even told me the other girl is new and don't know the work. I cannot believe the service I got here. First this person walks up that cannot speak an OUNCE of English to understand how I'd like to have my sandwich. Let's start with we stood in the empty location without anyone coming out. Then the one girl comes out who cannot even layout a sandwich properly. I wish I could say I was being picky but when you order a foot long and the person leaves a quarter of the sandwich (I wish I took a photo), empty with no cheese or meat on it. I only asked if she could spread it evenly so she calls on to Darlene who gave us an attitude. I explained this and she leaves. Then the girl does the same thing for the cheese. A quarter of the sandwich empty. Still couldn't understand AGAIN that you don't leave part of the sandwich bare. I don't want to chew on bread a quarter of the way in. So Darlene comes out again and continues to be rude. I had briefly set my keys and wallet on their counter because I was trying to show with my hands that I'd like the sandwich evenly produced..so I got harped on like a child that the counter is not for keys and wallets. When she could have said would you mind removing that? Anyways, then she begins adding the tomatoes and purposely tries to get a rise out of me and like the non English speaking employee unevenly distributes the tomatoes. I asked her if she could please evenly distribute it and we'd like extra. This is the part I couldn't believe as I e never experienced this at a subway. She told me after ONE layer of tomatoes that it was enough and we don't need more. lol I said no, I'd like extra tomatoes. She says why? lol why do you need more? It's enough. It's the subway standard. I said well I think I know how I'm going to enjoy my sandwich. Mind you I'm with my elderly mom who also doesn't speak good English and she was extremely very rude to her. They got into an argument with my mom because she asked the worker if she understood what my mom was saying she is a light skin chubby Hispanic with brown hair she did not know what she was doing, then a short dark redhead Hispanic lady got involved, and also a short gay guy with pimples. So about a few days ago, me and my Mother decided to pick up a Subway sandwich since they had the Buy One, Get One Free through the app and we didn't feel like cooking from home. We used to frequent Subway way back in the 2000s when the footlongs were $5 dollars but stopped when we noticed that the quality started going down throughout the years and was told to try out Jimmy John's some years ago. We only go to Subway ever so often because of their Cold Cut Combo and to try something a but different from Jimmy John's, but most of our experiences have been mediocre to awful. From the terrible customer service to the sloppiness of the sandwich, we've felt put off more than once in recent years... until now. To start, we have frequently seen this little block of restaurants, but forgot there was a Subway over here, so it came to us as a surprise to find it along with a positive rating. As well, it is open 24 hours, so if my mother and I are ever hungry late at night and want something different from the common late-night burger and fries, we have found it! We decided to place an order over the computer and drive to pick it up. First, this was a clean Subway that was pretty peaceful. I told the woman behind the counter of my online order, and she gave me my order instead of me picking it up at the little stand right next to the place of order; something I liked more so. I had gotten mines toasted, but by the time I had gotten home, it was naturally cold; however, this was not a problem as the bread was soft and fresh. As a matter of fact, all of the items on the sandwich was fresh for once! The meat, while we did order extra, didn't seem to be skimpy, and everything was exactly how we wanted ours to be! What a terrible establishment I just walked in there 11:30 PM there's a couple people sitting there waiting for orders and one guy behind the counter working he never looks up to say as much as say hello or anything and after standing there for about 15 minutes, he looks up and asked me if I have an order for pick up. I said no. He said well it's gonna be 25-35 minutes. I have four orders ahead of you. What's the point of having a place open if you can't serve your customers. Well, it's a Subway. You really can't go wrong with Subway. It is what it is and the food is always up to franchise standards. The reason we're here today is because it seems the graveyard shift staff isn't what it used to be. We used to come more often at the late night hours because of late night gym runs. The staff was very sweet and funny, if a little awkward sometimes. But TONIGHT, oof. Guess someone didn't feel like making sandwiches or just decided they didn't like us before we even got to the counter cause yikes. I have come to the conclusion, over many years, that the cold cuts Subway serves are so flavorless that one may as well just order the bread and some mustard. Bread's good. Being honest with myself, after eating another sandwich with double meat and cheese, toasted, there is a difference between how food tastes and its texture: if the taste and texture do not match, as with their cold cuts ("Black Forest" ham, in this last case), it can be a bit disgusting. It was disgusting. The meat was just clammy, with no flavor whatsoever. So their ONLY offering worth the bread to put it on is meatballs. Maybe tuna. Went to a Pavilions Store at a later date. My sandwich was flavorful and I was really glad I had gone there for a ham sandwich. Subway has gotten really, really nuts with their paper-thin slices of what used to be a living animal. I bet they could supply the entire state of California with what they slice off a single hog. No more for me. And don't think Jimmy Johns or the other chains are any better. I've seen a lot of bad reviews for this location but I've always had a great experience here, and my most recent experience was amazing regarding customer satisfaction. I come here because it is convenient for it is (was) a 24 hour subway. With that said, I walked in at 8pm and proceeded to order my meal: two 6 inch sandwich combos. The server, who I can't remember his name but was wearing a purple du rag, had the best attitude and fixed my sandwich neatly and professionally. I tipped the workers and only until after the transaction when he said "let me unlock the door for you", did my dumbass realize the store isn't a 24 hour location and that it was 8:10pm and the store closed at 8pm. He showed no signs of frustration or annoyance and understood that I made a mistake without making me feel stupid. That goes a long way in my books and I got out of the car and handed him more for tips for such an awesome attitude. Very clean and presentable Open 24hrs. Fresh ingredients Conveniently located right off the 405 and down the st. From the DMV. This is the neatest subway ive been to so far :) Its new so its usually busy. The crew is young but they provide a good service from my experience. They also have a public restroom! I know thats probably not an issue to most but given the ones ive been to with no restroom, this is a plus. Specially if you need to wash your hands. So over all, great experience. Why 4 stars? Never fail to disappoint everytime I give them another chance. A quarter of a tiny avocado for $1.50 she didnt even give me the whole half on a footlong. Then after I paid for both footlongs of which I could have gotten half of each for free but decided against it because I had to purchase a drink (which is totally fine btw) the guy next to me gets chips instead of the drink and gets his 6 inch free...I paid for both my chips like a sucker. This is by far the best subway spot i have gone to. The girls Jessica, Selene , Karina, and Sandra always greet you with a smile and a welcome to subway as soon as you walk in there very friendly and always engage in a short conversation while making your sub or wrap. By far this is the best spot to get a wrap or sub. Done from any other subway they just taste way better at this subway branch for some reason lol ..Really recommend people to stop by and get a wrap you will be satisfied and return. 5 stars For-sure! This is the best Subway location. Bread, meats, and produce is always the freshest. We also go out of our way to this location because of Lia. She has the best customer service and makes the best sandwiches. The sandwiches always look so pretty and perfect when she's done making them... even though she makes them so quickly. Everything on the sandwiches are always layered nicely and evenly distributed. And not piled all in the middle like a lot of other people make our sandwiches.
