I asked my wife to stop by JJ's after a meeting since I had seen an ad a while back for a pizza sub which seemed rather amazing. Unfortunately, that promo is now defunct. Not to be deterred, I asked her to pick up a giant #7 Spicy East Coast Italian. I figured for the difference in price between the regular and giant , why not get the larger sandwich and save half for lunch the next day. It turned out to be a good move. The sandwich is a very large sandwich. Not quite as large as Jersey Mike's but still, more than enough for 2, possibly 3 meals. I still prefer Jersey, but this was more than adequate as a replacement. The thing is PACKED with meat falling out of the sandwich. Salami, ham, capocollo. Not the meats you want to consume on a regular basis but definitely a treat to have every now and then. It's hard to eat the thing without the contents trying to overflow as you take a bite. The only disappointment was finding they didn't toast it as requested. Bummer. That would have enhanced the consumption of #7. Oh, and when they say hot peppers, these are not your standard peperoncini green peppers. These peppers have a decent kick. Not search for a glass of milk hot but more heat than your usual Italian sandwich. I'm still sad I didn't get to try the pizza sub but the alternative wasn't bad at all. read more

I was first introduced to Jimmy John's when my daughters played club volleyball, and I've been a fan ever since. Is it an amazing sandwich with unique ingredients? No. Is it a reliable fast food option that feels relatively healthy? Yes! I like that they have a smaller sandwich option (the Little John) for people like me who can't eat a huge sandwich. I get the #1, which is ham and provolone. I also like being able to customize ingredients to add more veggies -- I always get what it comes with, add cucumbers and get EZ mayo. Sometimes when I'm feeling spicy I'll get hot peppers. This trip we tried the new Lemon Sunshine cookie. It was pretty good but I would have liked a more tart lemon flavor. Definitely recommend the app for convenience and rewards. We ordered ahead on the app on our way home from a volleyball tournament, and it was ready when we got there. This location has a good amount of seating (6 tables) and the fun JJ's signage on the wall you have to read every time you come in. And of course, free smells! This location used to have good service when it first opened. I don't know how every time my sandwich is wrong and it's gotten very disappointing. I asked for no oregano basil and no oil and vinegar multiple times and my sandwich felt like it had double of both inside. :( so bummed because it became a soggy mess and had to throw away the leftovers. The customer service here isn't good. I love Jimmy johns sandwiches and that's why I'm giving it 2 stars but they've gotten my order wrong here before several times. Forgotten my Pepper's, given me a plain sandwich with Turkey and nothing else even though it was supposed to have lettuce/tomato/Mayo. So I've had my sandwich meal ruined few times and the only reason I go back is because the options are limited in the area. I work close by so it's closest location for a sub. My coworker placed an order online today for delivery which is usually within 30min. Today waited over 1 hour and nothing. I called them and they said it's basically not their issue they are waiting on Uber eats to deliver and that they are busy today and can't say when we can expect delivery by so do we want to cancel it? Located off East Spring St. in Long Beach. Stopped by here on my way to work had to go in for a couple of hours. The parking is shared with the other businesses and it's a small lot and tight squeeze. The place is nice. I got the #16 Club Lulu which is basically turkey, bacon, cheese lettuce and tomato and mayo. I did the combo with chips and drink. The sandwich which good and I did like the bread. I've been to a couple of the other locations and they all have satisfied my hunger. The employee was really nice and very upbeat when taking our order. He even suggested to join the rewards program to receive a free sub for our next visit. I ordered the Club sub and it was very tasty. Went there today to pick up a uber eats order. The guy basically handed me 1/3 of the order in an open bag and said her you go. I told him this is a uber eats order and he said I quote, "so what" Dude has no regard for customer safety or any idea what the hell he was doing. The staff is still trying to figure things out, I think, because they told us they burned a batch of bread so they had to get it from a different store (that would take an hour) - all fine though they had other options. Got the veggie sub without mayo and cheese, and it was great! They sent a message that my sandwich was out for delivery 30 minutes later. Ok, I still have 45 minutes to eat. With 10 minutes left in my break still no sandwich and I called. They would rather waste food rather than take American cash money. I tried to pay with $100 bill with manager present and I was still turned away. My boys and I have come to this jimmy johns since it opened and never had a problem until now. We would come in almost once a week. My go-to for a deli quality sandwich in a large chain. I should probably find a local deli, but JJs makes it so easy to grab a sandwich and attack it like cats do to catnip. I've never had an issue at any location as they seem to do an excellent job with their hiring staff. Their places always smell strange, but the sandwiches are very good. The bread is much better than other fast-food sandwich shops and the meats are delicious. Coupled with a sliced pickle, it's a wonderful treat for yearning taste-buds. Do note that their chairs are in need of some cork or felt on the bottom. Be prepared for eardrum-shattering screeches as you drag the seat across clean floors.
