Love supporting this local business! Ordered an egg, cheese, veggies, avocado, bacon burrito with red salsa, and it was delicious! Nice outdoor patio in the back and front and picnic tables. Great place to read a book or stop at to pick up some food on your way to the beach!
I saw this place on TikTok and decided to try it out around 8 a.m., driving about 17 minutes to a small mini market located in a residential neighborhood. The location is convenient and right on the corner, with decent seating and a good vibe from the music. I was also greeted as soon as I walked in, and the staff was quick to start taking my order and directed me to the burrito menu. I did have to take a moment to look over everything, but service overall was friendly and attentive. The coffee was actually pretty good, priced around $2.99-$3.99 with a few creamer options. As for the food, the burrito itself was okay--good, but nothing extraordinary or better than what you could make at home. It comes with meat, egg, cheese, salsa, and additional add-ons like potatoes and extra cheese are charged separately. My main concern was the condition of the space: it felt very cluttered, with items stacked everywhere and a noticeable lack of cleanliness that made it hard to overlook. While the atmosphere and convenience have their appeal, I would rate the experience a 3.2 out of 5 overall, mainly due to cleanliness concerns and the food not quite living up to the hype. Total $18 large coffee no refills and the burrito pretty pricey
I came down to grab something and was real stoked, i noticed they were closing but saw that their time to close was 7:30pm.. but they closed down at 6:30pm... I went to ask the young boy about the shop closing and he said they're closed. I accepted the time because i assumed the best and believed the kid. But then i saw him allow three more people to come in and purchase items? It was just very odd.. cute patio though!
I had passed this place a dozen times this year but it was pic of their breakfast burrito on Tik Tok that got me in! The shaded tables outside meant I could bring Boomer. He waited patiently while I got acquainted with all the stuff they have inside - and the smells making me hungry. The staff is so friendly, and they helped me choose a soyrizo breakfast burrito. We waited patiently outside while it was prepared. In 5 minutes i was diving in. Heaven in a flour tortilla! Potatoes, soyrizo, cheese and I don't know what else. So tasty and priced pretty average. I took home some cucumber salad for a picnic the next night and sent 3 more people to check them out. It's places like these that contribute to the neighborhood feel of Long Beach. Keep them in business and GO!

What I know so far: Sunday: lasagna and coffee cake Wednesday: fried chicken. Everyone kept coming in asking for tenders. It looked like daily specials came out like noonish. They were out of tenders by 4/5ish. Pre made sandwiches for $10 (a bit pricey) but good to grab. Fresh bread and has a lot of staples in case you need something
One of the best breakfast burritos I've had and it's always consistently great. Be sure to get a side of the spicy sauce. My usual order is eggs, cheese, soyrizo, and potatoes. Call ahead on weekends! They make them as fast as they can!
One of the best breakfast burritos I have had in a long time. Got the egg and bacon burrito and added potatoes. At $13 and some change, they are not giving them away, but eggs are expensive these days and the size was impressive for that money and the taste was exceptional. At least 3 eggs in that bad boy, thick crispy bacon, cheese and I got the "hot" salsa and it had a great kick to it. Just a well made, well balanced burrito and everyone at the tables out front was eating burritos, so that should tell you something. Very cozy and relaxing location tucked a residential neighborhood in Belmont Heights. A little garden, fresh flowers, saloon doors, and simple wooden picnic tables. Definitely a neighborhood bodega with a hippy, blue collar, hangout vibe. A pot of simple coffee brewing, local products for sale on the shelves, some household goods and necessities, craft beer for sale, and a bunch of breakfast and lunch items both hot and cold (like sandwiches and pasta salad and such). The breakfast burrito was the star of the show for me tho.

This little grocery outlet doesn't really stand out on the street but it is such a cute little hole in the wall that you'll love! The inside is really small but they have everything you could possibly need, from toiletries, to groceries, to grabbing a quick drink. The real kicker is that they have amazing sandwiches, burgers, and breakfast burritos! They also have a cute little backyard you can sit and eat at. My boyfriend took me for a quick bite this morning and not only were the workers so kind, but the food was so delicious. We both got the breakfast burrito with bacon and added avocado and potatoes. The eggs and bacon were perfectly cooked and the potatoes were soft and buttery with the skin on, just the way I like it. Overall, not only is it a cute place to go, but the food was delicious and the price was very reasonable. Would go again!

Although I don't typically eat burritos, I had heard such positive feedback that I decided to try one--and I'm so glad I did. They are consistently delicious. We now make it a point to visit every weekend with our little one, and each time we're met with good food, friendly people, and great overall vibes. The coffee is also excellent--according to my husband, who is quite particular when it comes to his coffee. This place has truly become a special part of our routine.
Super cute little convenience store with a wide array of drinks and a little kitchen! Was here around 8 am on Sunday and they had a few people and phone orders being placed. Got a breakfast burrito with sausage, bacon, egg, cheese & potato with an Arizona tea and a chocolate muffin. Decent portions for $20! Very cute backyard seating area however there were a TON of flies. I'm not sure if anything can be done about that so if the flies are out I recommend sitting in the front.
Simple, honest food done right. Definitely coming back for more Ma & Pa Grocery is one of those hidden neighborhood gems you're so glad you found. Super homey, and the kind of place that feels like it's been part of the community forever. Their breakfast burrito is a must
My colleague first brought me here, to his neighborhood breakfast spot. By breakfast spot, he meant breakfast burritos. This is truly a neighborhood spot. It's got that 1800s country store vibe. A little bit of everything to sell, in addition to breakfast burritos and coffee. The breakfast burritos are pretty decent. You can eat at one of the few tables in the front patio, or the covered garden in the back.
Great local spot in Belmont heights. Inside is a grocery store with lots of options. was busy at this time i went but the staff handled the rush well. the breakfast burrito w/ bacon is my go too. haven't had the chance to try much else but everything they have looks delicious.

Breakfast Burrito rating: 4 stars Mom-and-pop neighborhood vibe: 5 stars I love running into vintage shops that have been in business since before I was born. Long before the invasion of 7-Elevens, these small corner markets kept neighborhoods thriving. I was really impressed by their selection: beef jerky in a jar, unique beverages you won't find at typical convenience stores, and homemade goods and sandwiches. I even picked up a loaf of sourdough bread made in San Diego. The breakfast burrito was good, though not quite in the legendary tier. It was generously packed with eggs and small pieces of avocado. Their hot sauce had a nice kick, but I definitely could have used a bit more of it on the burrito. Service was great. The owner asked if I needed help finding anything, and when I told him I was just browsing, he didn't pressure me at all. He simply pointed out a cooler behind the counter with even more beverage options, including Shasta soda in the mix. read more
Such a cute local mom & pop market in the "cut". Located deep within the neighborhood, it's a place mostly locals would even know about. Parking: 4/5. No parking lot but there is parallel street parking in the neighborhood. Facility: 4/5. No frills, super cute and eclectic. If you're visiting Long Beach, I'd say this is a place you might want to stop grab a bite to eat and snap a few pics. Only a few tables outside to eat at, but people come and go fairly quickly. I didn't see a bathroom so I'm not sure if there is one. Service: 5/5. Fast friendly, no issues. Food: 3/5. We got breakfast burritos and since I'm such a breakfast burrito snob, this one wasn't bad, but was far from the best I've had. It was fresh and was made exactly to my specifications. Overall I would come here again in a heartbeat because the store has so many cute unique items and I love places like this! read more

Cute little convenience store that has a deli with amazing breakfast burritos. The service was great and the burritos only took a few minutes to be ready. There was a case of ready made sandwiches, lasagna, casseroles that all looked great, too. We got two burritos: one bacon and one sausage and added potatoes, avocado, and sour cream with spicy salsa. They are huge and came out piping hot. I would definitely add potatoes and avocado next time but would skip the sour cream. All street parking but we went on a Tuesday, so we easily found a spot. There are a few small tables out front. We'll for sure visit the next time we're in the area! read more

This place is so cozy. It looks like an Italian little supermarket. You can also order food and eat it there. There's a cozy patio in the back. Ambiance is very welcomy. Food is tasty. You order and eat outside if you'd like. Good variety of wine and beer. Service is friendly. Close to 2nd street if you want to take a walk. read more

Food - the breakfast burrito with potatoes, sausage, and avocado was delicious! I was on a hunt for a good breakfast burrito and I'm glad I found this place. I do recommend getting the house special hot sauce on the side! They do offer other foods such as sandwiches, ready to eat meals, and other things. Definitely going to be back here from time to time! Service - fast, friendly, and efficient Ambiance - it's literally a small little grocery store in a neighborhood. I love how it looks on the outside as well as the inside! It's very nostalgic. They have some old school fridges which were so cool! They have outdoor seating as well! read more

My friend brought me here since he used to be an employee working for them about a couple of years. He raves how delicious the breakfast burritos were. Therefore, took the drive into a neighborhood. Never knew this place existed. It was small and super cute decorated with flowers outside on the patio. Inside had everything you needed from wine, beers, fruits, meats, chips, sandwiches, and more all in one marketplace. Good place to visit for breakfast, lunch, and dinner as they do have a food menu they cook in the kitchen. This establishment been around for over 100 years so it's says a lot how wonderful it is. My friend ordered two breakfast burritos with ham, cheese, hash browns, bacon, and avocados. Let me tell you...One of the best super massive burritos I've tried in my entire life. So good! Have to ask for the salsa to make it more mouth watering. I couldn't finish the whole burrito because it was that big. Ate half for lunch and the rest at dinner time. Service was super friendly and we will continue to be regulars. read more

I cannot with your young staffff lollll I go here for last min things I forget at ralphs. Mind you I always call ahead to check if they have what I'm looking for But several times they made hilarious mistakes I asked for lettuce they gave me cabbage Heavy whipping cream?
