My wonderful friend recommended me the Atlantic Salmon with lemon herb butter from Trader Joe's. I happened to be in Long Beach for an event. I drove on over to this TJ to see if they had any of the frozen salmon. Parking was available in the front and back of the store at the Los Altos Shopping Center. Store was bright and clean. They did have some of the salmon I was looking for, but not a whole lot. I asked one of the staff members if it would be okay for the frozen salmon to be out in the open for a few hours since I had to drive a couple hours before I got back home. He said it should be fine. Thank you Sir! I ended up getting 3 frozen salmons just to try them. Salmon was super tasty and well seasoned. Perfect with a bowl of white rice. One small gripe, tons of melted butter from the 3 blotches of butter on top. Maybe cut down to one blotch. Just a thought. read more

I love Trader Joe's as they have such tasty variety and healthy treats and food that doesn't go bad over night like some stores. I wish they'd get some hazelnut and vanilla cafe going more often as that's my fav. Love their amazing array of cheeses, sauces and frozen meals. Definitely their truffle pizza and frozen artichoke hearts and healthy chips & dips I find often their prices are ironically cheaper than Food for Less. Love love their micro greens as well. I love Trader Joe's. I do all my shopping there, but there is nothing more frustrating than spending $200+ on groceries only to find that the person assisting the cashier bagging your groceries put cans on top of your bananas and on top of other items that are easily crushed, I purchased meatballs they were smashed. It was like she was in a hurry to go over and chat with another cashier. I would've rather she not bagged my groceries and allow me to do them myself. At least my items would've come home the way I purchased them. I will not be returning to this Trader Joe's, which is unfortunate because I like the location and it's a good size store. read more

Overall, I like Trader Joe's. The prices are fair. Quality is better than most markets, but the products are headed on a slippery slope. The ingredients are not as clean as they used to be. This location has nice employees. They are helpful and kind. The parking lot is large. The produce is often old. I don't buy as much as I could because of the quality, especially the berries. My biggest concern is the safety here. They allow homeless people to live in the parking lot. Theft is a huge problem here. The trash cans in the lot are overflowing with garbage. I've felt scared in the store many times while watching shoplifting. They need to do better for quality customers. read more

What is there not to love at Trader Joe's? This is my absolute favorite store! Staff are always so nice at the registers making it effortless upon check out. Love all their seasonal product selection keeping me on my toes for what comes out on the shelves. It's my happy place and I can be in the store for hours just browsing and shopping. So many good stuff with decent prices. Very affordable for all your groceries needs. There are two parking spaces located in front and back. Visiting from out of town, and I usually find my way to a Trader Joe's. It just makes travel easier to stock up on my favorite healthy snacks. I just found a new salad here that I love!!! . This store was just lovely! Perfectly organized, nice and clean, well stocked. I travel with my service dog, LongYellowDog, and we had no problems navigating the aisles. And employees and customers alike, seemed to understand the term "working dog". I spoke with no less the four employees during my quick 15 minute shop. All of them were genuinely nice and had huge smiles. I love that! When I went for check out.... No line. It was so easy. And..... for travelers like me, forks and spoons. I think he said his name was I know it's a T in there in a wide tall, good looking black man with the Afro probably late 20s but he was just a doll when we were when I was checking out and we were talking about Michael Jackson so anyway always helpful. I've noticed him before and the ambience was there today because it's the day before Mother's Day so it was like the 405 and the 710 coming together in one place In Long Beach. The food is always remarkable and I actually got ham which is so fresh from them even though they were at least 500 people in that store I'm just guessing I was in and out once I got to the counter I was in and out within five minutes, so excellent service has off to the manager there. read more

I've been to this location on Bellflower a few times and have always had a positive experience. Getting in and out of the parking lot is super easy. There is always a whole gaggle of shoppers here and people move quicker, zipping along and zagging through the aisles. It's a great place to shop for healthy and affordable food. I love this Trader Joe's. They always have what I'm looking for in stock. I am not much of a cook, so I don't buy meat and produce here. I come here mainly for their frozen food and snacks. My latest frozen favorites are their pad see ew, kimbap and hot wings. The pad see ew is really good. I'm so glad I discovered it. I love pad see ew and I was really shocked at how good it was given that it's frozen. The kimbap is also good. Sometimes I eat it microwaved, sometimes I put it in the airfryer for a crispier taste, but the best is dipping it in an egg wash and pan frying. The hot wings are also good and best cooked in the air fryer for 20 minutes. It comes out really crispy. For snacks, my latest favorite are their corn chips (taste like Fritos) dipped in their mild salsa and their almonds, cashew and dark chocolate trail mix. I also recently had their Hawaiian butter mochi cake mix, which is usually always out of stock. It turned out so delicious. Prices here are also reasonable. Staff are helpful and friendly. read more

Overall a great experience. Great customer service, great location, and plenty of parking make it one of my new faves. At checkout, our cashier even made sure we went out the correct exit. Wow! I guess it's a sign of the times when even Trader Joe's quality is in the dumps. It use to be the occasional bad item here and there. But now it's fairly wide spread. From watery hummus, stinky steaks, vegetables that have seen better days. But it's also what's in the food. Chemicals of all sorts. Rice loaded with arsenic. Dark chocolate on the podium for having some of highest lead and cadmium. Items made cheaper or where the label misrepresents content: chicken Shawarma made with 50% leg meat as opposed to chicken thighs which does not match the label. Clean and organize store. By the way, I went to do my groceries and I dropped a bottle of vinegar that was inside my recycled Trader Joe bag which i use a lot. The staff were amazing not to have me worried of what it happened. I offered to clean up the mess and they said don't worry about it and they even replace my recycled bag.
