I grew up to eating here after school hours. Avoid ordering chili cheese fries here. I ordered from this place twice recently, same order: chilli cheese fries. Both time they gave me very little chilli and a lot of cheese make it taste just like fries with cheese. Also have an extinct flavor so I threw it away. Never ordering from here again. You can pay $1-$2 more for better flavor chilli cheese fries elsewhere like at Tams.

My go to spot for a quick breakfast whenever I can get up early enough for breakfast! Lol Foods always fresh and delicious and the service is always so fast and friendly. This place is small but supper clean & tidy definitely give it a try if you're ever in the area.

I give this place 3 stars due to the taco I got were super dry , the rice was hard the beans were okey . I wouldn't becoming here again . And it's over priced $14 for a plate . Not very good food . I should've had McDonald's. I had to put a lot of sauce on my taco just for it to be sort of wet. Ugh

They make a decent burger with a good char-grilled flavor. The fries are nice and go well with it. Breakfast is not bad (scrambled eggs, bacon and hash browns) and will get you started on the day. It's clean, the service is friendly, the get your order correct and the prices are corner burger joint affordable. Fair amount of parking spots which is rare in this area.

I ordered the steak breakfast burrito because I'm looking for a place to get one on a basis of needing such food in the morning. It was a good sized burrito. The steak was good, as were the eggs. The hash browns were crispy but might have been well done. Their salsa is good but not overly hot. The place is kept clean but has notions of being a classic divey place. This one will be kept in mind for other food items in the future

Came here on a Sunday around 6:30 no wait and plenty of parking and seating. Service was good we we arrives they were wiping tables, AC was on, and lady who got our order was nice and repeated our order. Been here a couple times but most recently we ordered the family pack hamburger combo. I only ever had the burgers and fries here I would say they are good! Drinks you serve yourself they don't have Coca-Cola fyi. We took it to go but you can dine in or drive thru. Taste wise fries were fresh and good amount of seasoning. They added yellow peppers and ranch for each burger. The burger size is pretty big. The reason for four stars is previous times service was okay but this time it felt like under new management and they stepping up lol

Thanks, Tanya, great customer service, and for the suggestion! We had the hamburger special, it was delicious! The place was well spaced, the seating was comfortable, from tables to booths, and they also have a drive-thru! We, the Betanzos Family, give this place 5 Stars

Double Cheeseburger 1/2 pound French Fries Onion Rings Club Sandwich ALL DEVOURED!
Nikki G.

Decided on Grubhub tonight and chose this place because of the 25% off offer - so glad I did! Literally only took like 15 min to get to me and was still fresh and hot when it arrived. We ordered a club sandwich with fries and double cheeseburger with onion rings. Definitely was doing for some comfort food tonight and no doubt got what I wanted. The fries were basic but good, the onion rings were good, a little undercooked but still great, but the club and the burger were in-effing-credible!!! Portions are HUGE, price is amazing (only $26 for all that including delivery fee, GH fees and driver tip), and everything is delicious. I'll say this is a must must must when you're in the mood for that good grunge diner type of food. And at that price it's worth every penny even if you disagree with my review. I'd take pics but of course we at the sh*t out of that good stuff FAST!

But I was given the option to…read moreupdate my review so I am adding more images of our last meals here and reinforcing whatever i said previously. my partner and i have become somewhat regulars here since moving in. the staff is always a delight and service is speedy even on the busiest days - just be mindful during rushes that it's a small team and not a mcdonald's (patience!). the ambiance is always worth the walk over and gives us a great start to our day!

It's been a a couple years since we've been here, so we thought we'd try it again. Parking in this…read morearea is always challenging as we had to park two blocks away. We arrived at 8am opening. When we entered we asked the waiter behind the back counter if we could sit at a corner window. The answer was "no" since it sat 4 people. Nothing like, "I'm so sorry but..."So we sat in a corner area along the wall at a table for two. As soon as I sat, I felt a couple of strands of my hair were blowing around my face and it felt a little too cool in the restaurant. I looked up and observed two fans were blowing at a high speed. When the waiter approached our table, we kindly asked, if he could turn the fans down or at least the one closest to us and he said "no, they are at a set speed." Nothing helpful like "If these fans are too much let me seat you over here." It was 60F outside and cooler inside with the fans. We looked at our other seating options. There was one table seated between two parties and very loud, so we decided to stay and bear it. I looked around and saw that since our last visit, there were a couple of upkeep issues that could use addressing. As you can see in the picture, a few chairs unbinding and paint issues. It's the small details that make a noticeable difference. On to the gastronomic experience...The regular coffee was nothing to write home about. And adding the pre-packaged creamer they offer made it taste bitter. I ordered the soy chorizo scramble and asked if I could have the sour cream that the regular chorizo scramble offered (both priced $15.99), but was told again that all too familiar word "no." Was my food choice enjoyable? Yes. The soy chorizo was not as flavorful as I'm used to, but the green chiles gave it nice balance. The highlight was the perfectly cooked small potatoes, which we asked our waiter to commend the chef on. Was the temperature uncomfortably cool during our entire meal? Yes. Could they add a longer string to adjust the fan speed for customers on cooler days? Yes. And was that corner window table still open/available when we left (away from the ceiling fans)? Yes. Would I return? With the disregard for wanting to happily accommodate their customers, my answer is not for quite a while, if ever. Walking into a restaurant is not always just about the food. It's also about the overall experience.

We came all the way from Santa Clarita and we're not disappointed. Past all the namebrand places by the aquarium and came here and we're not disappointed. I had the work burger, which has fried portobello mushrooms. Others in our group had grilled cheese and poutine burger, and Italian burger and the hotdog and the breakfast burritos. No one was disappointed actually, we were surprisingly pleased with our selections. Sleeper items are the fried cheese curds by themselves. Make sure you get these. Also the onion rings are batter dipped. And beyond delicious! Only bummer is the drinks are cans, so if you need more than one drink, be prepared to pay for each can. The food was super delicious!!

It was really loud during our visit. I'm not sure if it's always that lively on Friday nights, but it was the weekend of Warped Tour, so there was a lot of music and energy. If you're looking for a quieter meal, this may not be the best night to visit. The food itself was good, but the wait was much longer than expected. We waited almost 40 minutes for our order. Unfortunately, my burger was also made incorrectly. I ordered the Bacon Bleu Burger but was served a different burger instead. Not quite sure what it was, but it had mushrooms and American cheese. Since we had already waited so long, I decided to just eat it rather than send it back. The burgers were flavorful, but they were smaller than I expected for the price, and they don't come with fries. To round out my meal, I ordered the poutine fries. They were decent. The fries were nice and crispy, which I appreciated. My husband ordered the Burger Don Chendo, and that ended up being the standout of the night. I usually don't like spicy food, but this burger had just the right amount of heat without being overwhelming. Overall, the food was enjoyable, but between the long wait, the incorrect order, and the portion size for the price, the experience was a bit hit-or-miss. I'd be willing to give them another try, especially for the Don Chendo burger, but I'm hoping for a smoother experience next time.

I've only ever been to The Ordinarie for their holiday pop up events (Miracle and The Haunting),…read morebut have enjoyed myself thoroughly every time. Miracle is an amazing Christmas themed pop up with so many lights and decorations that it will dazzle your eyes. Think Christmas on crack from floor to ceiling in every space imaginable. Their holiday menu is pretty well rounded. I've had the burger and beet salad with grilled chicken before which are both excellent tasting. The holiday drinks are always really delicious and capture the essence of the holidays. The snowball old fashioned is my favorite every year. The ice is shaped into a snowball. This past weekend I attended The Haunting which is new this year. It was sooo fun. It's like Miracle but for everything Halloween related. Life sized ghouls and goblins with Halloween lights and decorations everywhere. The food menu seems to have similar items from Miracle but this year I tried the Chicken Pot Pie bites and they were really great tasting and had savory seasonings with a shallow gravy in the skillet. My only qualm with them is that they were not hot enough, just luke warm. We also tried the Hatch Chile Mac n Cheese, it was really good with a mild chile flavoring and not spicy but packed with flavor. If it's past 10pm they have a late night bites menu which is limited but gets you some tasty bites. The themed drinks were fun and came in a baby doll head, a cauldron, a clown face and other drinkware. The Liquid Lobotomy served in the baby doll head was my favorite because I love falernum rum drinks. The Poison Apple was another drink favorite and was old fashioned like. We ordered the pumpkin shots and were disappointed that they did not come in the take home shot glasses; they were out so they discounted the shots and our server Lucille said she told us but she didn't. These shots tasted great and I don't usually do shots. My friends and I all tried each other's drinks to see what we liked best and wanted to try next; they were all excellent tasting and it's fun to see how the drinks come together. Sometimes I'm reading the ingredients in a drink and I'm like how would these items come together and taste good, but they do. The bartenders are amazing at their craft. They don't take reservations past 4pm so it's first come first served. It was a Saturday night and the line was super long; we got it line around 8:20pm and got seated at 9:54pm. It's a timed experience just like Miracle and you get 90 minutes which is enough time for the full experience.

My friend and I went on a Monday during the day around 12:30 noon. Reservations are required, but after 4pm they accept walk ins. They make you out a credit card down for the reservation and if you don't show they charge you a fee. I was not aware until I arrived but there is a time limit of 2 hours for the table. Since my friend and I went during the day I don't think it was an issue as we sat there for closer for 4 hours. The hostess was very sweet. She informed us that we could take pictures, walk around and videotape as well. The server was friendly as well. Since it was so empty during the day we didn't really see her as much and my friend and I were talking a lot. Together we ordered 3 alcoholic beverages, 2 appetizers, 2 entrees and 1 dessert to share. The first drink I got was the clown pear-noia and my friend got the liquid lobotomy. They were served in fun Halloween cups that you can also purchase there. Second drink I got was the severed sun. All drinks were really good but definitely want to give a hats off to the mixologists because the flavors were great together. If you don't like craft drinks you may not enjoy these. I really enjoyed the severed sun the most out of those three. For the food, we got an order of sweet potato fries and the hatch chili Mac and cheese. Sweet potato fries were as expected, and came with Parmesan cheese topping and a black garlic aioli. The Mac and cheese was not spicy at all, but every so often I did taste a hint of spice. For entrees I had the short rib and she ordered the butternut squash ravioli. Both entrees were good and we both were happy with our selections. The ravioli tasted exactly like butternut squash soup. The short ribs had a nice glaze, but I do wish there was a bit more to help with the flavor profile (carrots were yummy and fresh, but mashed potatoes were kind watery). So to be clear, there was absolutely nothing wrong with the food, it tasted good and we have no complaints, but it was not "oh my goodness this is amazing" good. So that is why I put 4 stars instead of 5. Overall I had a great time catching up with a friend. It wasn't crazy loud in there that we couldn't hear each other but it was pretty dark in there. I did also see a lot of children with parents, but after 9pm I believe there are no children allowed. This place is a must try at least once for the vibes! Will definitely come back for the Christmas pop up next month!

I will say it's one of the best Chicken Fried Steaks that I've ever had. Also one of the best Cinnamon Rolls I've had all year. Inside is quite large and has many different seating options from counter, to booth, to table, to outdoor. We chose to sit at the counter and the only issue we had was that no one came to take our order or bring us water for about 10+ minutes. After that, though, our server was very polite and everything came out fast after that. They don't have a dedicated parking lot, but it was easy for us to find free street parking close by. The menu is very large, and one thing that we noticed was how popular their bakery items were. Their pie and cake slices were flying off the shelves, in slice and whole form. We must've saw over two dozen cake orders happen in just a short time we were there. I started off the meal with the Cinnamon Roll, and it was giant and delicious. I really liked the glaze on it and enjoyed every bite. I wish they would not add raisins, that would be my only request, but still it was very nice. I followed that with a Country Fried Steak and honestly thought it was incredible. It was one of the best that I've had ever, and I think it was due to the quality of the meat and the breading. The steak was juicy and every part about it was just great. The hashbrowns were also extra crispy and the combo was just perfect. I would highly recommend this place to anyone and will say that it's the best Chicken Fried Steak in Los Angeles county.

However, I think on certain days, you can park in the lot across the street (pay attention to signage). I'll have to return to eat soon and do a proper review of the restaurant.

It's a true retro LA diner in the best sense of it, and that's one of my favorite parts of eating in a place like this. There also is a large free parking lot attached, so parking was really easy. They have a very large menu, and pricing is extremely fair. We started off with a Cinnamon Roll and it was absolutely giant. It was not your traditional folded cinnamon roll. It was almost flaky and in layers. It was very unique, but I enjoyed it very much. The Mac and cheese was the star of the show very cheesy and the noodles were tender, it had a good flavor to it also. My wife had the steak salad. The steak was cooked perfectly and was very tender. The salad wasn't up to par so we had to ask for some mixed greens to and sliced carrots to add to it . It was pretty much just iceberg, lettuce, sliced cucumbers, sliced red onions, and sliced avocado. I originally ordered the side salad that came with mixed greens, sliced red onions, and sliced carrots. My Wife thought her salad would look like that one since it didn't so we made it look like that by adding an additional size salad mixing it with her steak salad so it worked out overall it's worth a try when I go out of my way to come back maybe not but would I come back if I'm in the neighborhood probably so.
