Very little decor but the food makes up for it!

A vegan from VA has made it to the west coast! Everyone tells me the vegan food here is better, I'm about to find... OK, I'm back! I ate what looked like a Big Mac and a Filet-o-Fish with a side of wings instead of fries. The Big Mac-type burger (called the Big Guy) was top tier! It's messy; the burger slides on the lettuce and thousand island dressing making a mess, but it's a mess that will make you lick every finger to savor the flavor. The Fish Filet was good, but once you taste the Bug Guy, flavor wise, it could not hold up. It was just OK in comparison. The epic fail were the wings! They LOOK the part, but we ordered Lemon Pepper as our wing sauce (it's a dry rub, by the way) and it fell flat. If you are a true vegan, then you know nutritional yeast has this medicinal flavor on the back end. No matter how you try to mask it, nutritional yeast tastes like you are sucking on a gauze pad. That's all you taste with these lemon pepper wings. One bite and I had to spit the out. The meat of the wing was too dense and thick for me. I will not order them again. Perhaps with a wet sauce, it could taste better. Now for the service and ambiance--there is none. In fact, when we walked in NO ONE even came up front. Good thing we weren't thieves--we could have robbed them blind. Eventually, a young lady came up front, made our food and didn't say A SINGLE WORD. She didn't talk, welcome us here, have any cordial conversation--nothing. That was disheartening. She didn't even inquire if we liked the food or not;her vibe was definitely "they pay me to work here...not LIKE working here." This VA VEGAN will return for the burger; I might even try the chicken sandwich next--it really looks good in the photo. I would ask the server he thoughts on something else to order, but she has not even returned to the front.

The bbq bacon burger is delicious, everything is made to order. The onion rings and fries are crispy, the patties are likely beyond meat. A solid burger, coming from a non-vegan staff was really nice

Came here on a friday afternoon and I literally could not believe that the gorgina meal they served me was 100% vegan, it was THAT good. I mean, I really think the photos speak for themselves, but I will say that Nice Burger was empty, service was fast but not sus-fast (if you know what I mean) and we had a super relaxing meal. I think this might be a new Long Beach staple for me! I'll absolutely be back next Friday, and probably the Saturday after that ;)

I finally tried Nice Burgers in Long Beach. It's a 100% vegan burger place. I stopped during breakfast time. I ordered a sausage muffin. It had cheese and egg on it. It was just a simple sandwich, but it was my first time trying, so I was like, cool. oh I had a side of tater tots also. That sandwich was so good. It was no-frills, but it was so good, and all the flavors just flowed together. I wasn't acting like a 7-year-old and picking anything off, and I wasn't mad that I didn't have condiments. It was so good. Oh, I did have chipotle sauce, which I dipped the tater tots in Emoji That sandwich hit the spot. I don't have any complaints. I even like the egg which I don't normally get involved with because I didn't eat eggs before becoming vegan or plant-based so when I placed the order, I said, "Half the egg", in my head, I was thinking OK I'll just remove it, bc I don't need them to waste a lot of their product. Let me tell you that egg was right on, right on. It was very good and just the right amount for me and the muffin was really good. Also, I mean I would love to know just what each product is from but I won't even ask. It was really good. I don't want to take away the sales. Usually, I only enjoy my homemade sausage muffin, but I could see myself ordering this one again soon, probably after January fasting.

SPICY CHICKEN

This place was Nice! I was greeted by a warm welcome upon entry. There is an ordering kiosk which was great to explore menu options as well as a cashier taking orders. The vegan spicy chicken sandwich (burger?) was absolutely delicious. There was a hint of nuttiness that I couldn't pinpoint to the sesame, but was a pleasant compliment to the overall enjoyment of the sandwich. This is one of the best vegan chicken patties I've come across, just a tad below par from Monty's for reference. The buffalo and honey mustard sauces were great paired with this. I found myself mixing both and adding to each bite. I had a short conversation with the cashier after in hopes that more locations are slated for expansion further west into the South Bay. I will be back, Nice Burger is one of the best vegan establishments around!

I passed by and saw the sign and decided to give it a try. I completed a Yelp search and saw that it was bookmarked so of course I had to turn around to try it. The food was good I tried the Cali Burger with thousand island, guacamole and bacon. They use Beyond Meat but not the pre frozen patties so they were thin and edible (I don't like the thick preformed patties). The bacon was a great addition to the burger. I also ordered chili cheese fries. That was a no! It was one scoop or less of chili on thin cut fries with sliced cheese. The charge was $4 more than the regular fries. The chili tasted as if it was definitely from a can. Overall, this is a place if you want to eat fast food. Great burger options that sometimes you crave but can't have if you are vegan. It is a small location they do have seat if you want to dine in. The location appeared clean. The cashier was patient and helpful as I asked a million questions.

BREAKFAST

I loved it. I came here on the whim looking for a vegan breakfast option. The service was great! Quick and the price is good for what you get. I was the only one there but it's a good place for a quick bite to eat. I love that they have good solid vegan food. I'd return.

There's something deeply intimate about food crafted by a single pair of hands and this vegan sushi…read moreproves that passion can be tasted in every bite. From the moment the plate arrived, it felt less like a meal and more like a carefully composed work of art. Each roll was perfectly crisp on the outside, giving way to a soft, flavorful interior layered with fresh avocado, savory fillings, and that satisfying sushi rice texture we all crave. The sauces? Absolutely decadent. A rich, spicy drizzle balanced with a slightly sweet glaze, finished with sesame seeds and green onions it created a harmony of flavors that danced between bold and comforting. Every bite had depth, not just taste but intention. What truly elevates this experience is knowing it's all made by one person. You can feel the dedication in the details the precision of each slice, the balance of textures, the way everything comes together so effortlessly. It's not just food... it's craftsmanship. And let's not ignore the presentation the vibrant orchid, the glossy finish of the sauces, the golden crisp of the roll it's clear this is someone who cares deeply about what they create. Final Verdict: This isn't just vegan sushi it's proof that plant based food can be indulgent, creative, and soul satisfying. A hidden gem crafted with intention, skill, and heart. 1st timers today, and will def not be our last visit…read more Shout-out to the Yelp reviews lead us to this Amazing Smash burger joint. Our order: -Onion rings (the right batter to sliced onion ratio & delicious seasoning); -the french fries- crispy and the right amount of salt seasoning *dipped into their Jalapeno ranch, and you will be left smiling!* -the Works: What a burger! I love Portabello mushrooms, caramelized onions, and Persian cucumbers, so when I read that on the menu, I knew I had to order this, and I am not disappointed! This hit the spot. The smash patty topped with my favorites made for a perfect burger filling party. -the Don Chendo burger- the salsa Don Chendo on a jalapeño-Cheddar bun - culinary innovation at its finest! For non-spicy eaters like myself, you can eat this. This is definitely tolerable spice with a delicious flavor that overrules any "heat". The buttery, softness of the bun with the cheddar and jalapenos melted into it compliment the flavors of the patty, red onions and Chendo sauce. Having a burger is a rare craving for us, and thankfully our taste buds led us here this time that we did, because we were left, not only satisfied, but can safely say that this is one of the fewest Exceptional burgers we have tried thus far. Burgers are huge too! You def get more bang for your buck here. Staff was very welcoming, friendly and attentive toward us. We truly appreciated the warm greeting and them making sure we felt comfortable with their product deliveries coming in/out of the restaurant while we ate. Not too big & not too small of a place. Ample seating booths make for a comfy social occasion. We highly recommend to All! & will return again!

Sideburns is a true hidden gem in Long Beach; conveniently located right next to The Stache Bar…read more I originally came for the Vegan Breakfast Burrito; and it absolutely delivered. Refried beans; crispy tots; vegan cheese; avocado; mushrooms -- hearty; filling; and layered properly. But what really makes this burrito stand out are the house-made sauces. The salsa has the perfect heat; and their vegan dipping sauce elevates the entire experience. You can taste the intention. Now let's talk about the burger. The vegan burger is not an afterthought here. It's juicy; well-seasoned; and balanced. The texture is on point; the toppings are fresh; and it holds its structure without falling apart. You can tell they care about execution. Between the house-made sauces; the fusion flavor profile; and the consistency across both items; Sideburns earns its spot. If you're in Long Beach and want vegan comfort food done right; this is absolutely worth pulling up to.

Upon arriving, we were greeted and asked to sit to wait for a table. It was busy but not crowded. The waitress handed us menus to look at while we waited for a table which was a nice gesture and allowed us to be ready when seated. It took less than 10 min to get seated. Once seated, they were fairly quick to come and take our order. We ordered: 1. Satay chicken 2. Yellow Curry with Chicken 3. Beef Pad See Ew and 4. Shrimp Pad Thai Everything was absolutely amazing! I could eat yellow curry for the rest of my life and this was one of the best ones I've had. We did get a red Eden cocktail and a beer. The cocktail was good! Not too sweet or strong. Service was great, too! Friendly and very attentive. The restaurant itself is very clean and the decor is very demure haha it's cute and spacious. Very welcoming! This is such a hidden gem! KIN Thai Cuisine in Long Beach off Broadway is a really solid spot…read more Parking is available, but it is limited, so just keep that in mind depending on the time you go. The restaurant itself is nice and clean, including the restrooms, which I always appreciate. The staff was very customer service oriented and did a great job making suggestions and giving tips about the menu and spice levels, which was super helpful. I started with the Money Bags, which are basically fried dumplings. Mine were a little overcooked, almost close to burnt. They still had decent flavor, but I'd personally rate them about a 2.9 out of 5. I also had the green papaya salad with mild spice, and the spice level was perfect, especially for people who are sensitive to heat. I usually stick around medium spice at Thai restaurants, but even the mild here still gives you a nice kick. For my drink, I got the Thai tea, which came topped with a Thai tea popsicle that slowly melted into the drink. Such a cute touch, creative, and tasty. For my entrée, I had the basil garlic sauce with sliced steak and a side of rice, which I really enjoyed. For dessert, we shared the mango sticky rice. It was good, but I do feel like it was a little overpriced for the portion size. Maybe part of that is because of the specialty rice they use that has the purple hue. I know a few places in Long Beach where you can get more for the same price. That said, the presentation was really cute with the flower garnish and everything looked beautiful. The atmosphere was nice. It has an open kitchen concept, so you can actually see the cooking happening, which adds to the experience. Seating is somewhat limited and the tables are fairly close together in certain sections, especially where the divider walls are, so you can definitely hear nearby conversations depending on where you sit. Great food, clean restaurant, and strong customer service. I'd definitely come back. Flavor Profile (for reference): Umami-forward (savory, salty depth) Acidic or bright (tangy + sour) Pungent and intense (spicy and bitter notes) Drink Preference (for reference): Bitter-forward cocktails Balanced acidity Light sweetness only, not overly sugary
