Came here to grab dessert with a friend after dinner last night. Closing on time is understandable. Being rude about it isn't. A simple and early heads-up would have been appreciated instead of a loud "WE ARE CLOSED" at 10:05 PM and passive-aggressive behavior from staff. Like honey, just use your words, 10-15 minutes BEFOREHAND could have saved you a lot of time from clinking and clanking while clean-up. All this energy for what babe? There were still multiple customers inside, and one even sarcastically yelled back "SORRY" in response to how the situation was handled. My friend and I were already cleaning up and heading out. The poor attitude wasn't limited to closing time. Even asking a simple question about a milk tea seemed to be an inconvenience. Customer service felt unfriendly and unwelcoming throughout the visit. There was a similar review about a month ago, but my friend came to this cafe to study and was racially targeted and harassed by the staff. My friend is a frequent customer at this location and we both like to come for drinks and studying. This time however, they came alone with their laptop and were working for 20 minutes max before an employee (seems to be a shift lead or manager) came up to them asking if anything had been ordered. My friend replied "no not yet," and the worker proceeded to say the tables were for customers only and walk away before they could say anything else. The first worker then STARED at them for the next 30 minutes, making them insanely uncomfortable until I arrived. My friend was one of the only brown skin people in the cafe...horrifically rude. What a horrible way to treat a person, let alone a regular customer. And what a waste of time, staring at a customer instead of doing your job...We both had interacted with this employee and ordered with them several times in the past, so it's crazy they couldn't remember any of it. Can't say much on service since I used the tablet to order but the workers did provide me a warm welcome upon walking in. I got their matcha and chocolate waffles with the chocolate having more of a stronger taste compared to the matcha, which had more of a subtle flavor. They have kiosks set up for customers as I know they do get busy sometimes. The only thing is the kiosk interface kind of bugs out or lags sometimes which can be annoying at times but besides that, wait isn't long and it is sooooo good! There is something seriously wrong with their self ordering kiosk. For the past 4 times, every single time the machine will not print out the receipt and shows "unable to read card" error message, so I would try to swipe/tap it again, and miraculously if I changed the service tip to higher amount by the 2nd or 3rd swipe/tap, the machine will then print out the receipt. Then only when I receive my monthly credit card statement, they will appear as multiple charges for the same order ! My credit card company was easy to deal after reporting the issue, but I find it very frustrating having to waste my time for something like this. This just this past weekend my family went again and to no surprise the machine acts up again (this didn't just happen to one specific credit card, but to all, and I noticed same error tend to always showed up to other customer next to us too). So we went to the counter directly to make sure if the charges has actually been processed or not, and then the worker checked and said it is already in, so we told them to print out the receipt manually and noticed they have automatically added 20% service fee ! We dont mind the tip, but the way they are operating is just very wrong, I strongly recommend everyone to check their statement and make sure it was applied correctly, this is just so very wrong ! read more

Worst customer service ever at this location. They have a self-ordering iPad as well as a cashier. I have always gone to the Irvine location and been assisted by cashier since I often add side/additional items. Upon arriving, the cashier offered to take my order; I needed time since the menu is a bit different than the one in Irvine. I even noticed an item that was not on the menu at Irvine and asked the cashier but she just said "I don't know" and walked away. As customers were lining up, no one seems to care to take orders, but every guests were directed to the ONE iPad that was available for self-ordering. Livin' my best life on taro bite at a time! I visited Meet Fresh last year and really enjoyed my Lemon Wintermelon tea. I definitely knew then that I would back here to try out their Signature series dessert bowls. Fast forward to this year and I finally got to check off trying their famous desserts bowls. For my second visit here; I got their Double Taro Signature. I love taro and this dessert definitely was a taro fan's dream come true. It was packed with taro signature balls, chunks of taro paste, herbal jelly, grass jelly and vanilla ice cream, It was true taro happiness in a bowl! I loved the chewy taro balls, the soft jelly squares and the sweet ice cream. They give creamer on the side and though this is a nice touch; it's not needed because the vanilla ice cream already gives a wonderful creamy touch. I read that the Double Taro Signature is a customer favorite and I can definitely see why. I really enjoyed the Double Taro Signature! My go to spot for Taiwanese dessert in the Cerritos area. There isn't much choice for that around here. Meet fresh is a chain from Taiwan and one that I have visited many times in Taiwan. The menu is similar but also very different. Price wise - it's not even comparable to Taiwan but average price here in the states. Ok on to the food - my go to is the tofu pudding with my favorite toppings - usually peanut, red bean, sesame balls and the mini qq. So good! Their egg waffle is also delish but takes a while to come out. In terms of service, I'm not sure why but it always takes forever. And only because I can compare to Taiwan, it takes half the time there. Not sure why it takes so long here to put already made ingredients into a bowl. Afterwards, he felt his ego was challenged so he brought up how he knows the founder of Panda Express as if that is even relevant. My husband and I dominated but still had like two cups left over. Good enough ratio of ice cream, to syrup to fruit to sweetener to all that snow. It's like a cafe/panera like set up.
