We went to lunch with some friends and whenever we go out for lunch, we usually go somewhere else for dessert. This time we tried Gobi Ice Cream. This is a rolled ice cream place which is not my typical style of ice cream that I like, so I just shared with my wife. My wife ordered a salted caramel with coffee. The show is the exciting part. They take the cream mixture to the frozen surface and start mixing all the ingredients until it becomes frozen and then they roll it up to little rolled ice cream scrolls. It was very tasty and light. The guy was very nice because usually you can only do one flavor, but my wife sweet talked the guy and he added the coffee to give it the salted caramel coffee ice cream. read more

This place is very cute! The inside is very clean, they have a water station for guests, and it has very fun decor! There is a decent amount of seating and it's very spacious inside. Staff is nice as well. The ice cream is really yummy and it does come with a decent amount of toppings. My cup cost about $9. I did ask if they do build your own cups, the girl told me not necessarily, but you could kind of pick a combination and do little changes from there. But in general, they have a good selection to choose from! I think I prefer regular ice cream over rolled ice cream, but if you're looking for a rolled ice cream and a place that has great topping combinations I think this is a really good pick!!! read more

Cute little dessert spot for a different take on ice cream. My family and I just finished celebrating an uncle's birthday at the pasta resto next door (Pasta e Pasta) and wanted some dessert. We saw this place and liked its clean aesthetic and fun decor. We were excited to try out the "rolled ice cream" trend but was disappointed with the ridiculous pricing. Over $30 for 3 TINY servings of "ice cream" --not even 4oz. The cup was so light &empty that it practically flew out of my hands....like dust in the wind. Presentation was pretty, and I appreciate the trend and how hard the kids are working at making this "ice cream" seem worthy but it's just hype. The coffee ice cream flavor was nonexistent and barely noticeable. The "fruit bowl" ice cream was just meh... :( all we tasted was "milky cream" --nothing to write home about......at least the fruits on top were fresh. The mint-chip was probably the only flavor that had FLAVOR. Unfortunately, the serving was so small that you can barely appreciate it and it was gone. Overall, we do like this place because it was clean and had fun artwork on the walls, but it was way overpriced for what it is: ice cream. We give it 3stars for the friendly customer service but unfortunately, for $30, I could've gotten 3 half gallon tubs to share. :( Maybe when I have money to burn, we will try it again. read more

The desserts were delicious! My friend ordered the strawberry flavor, and I had the salted caramel. We both really enjoyed them. The only thing I didn't like was that they told me they were only accepting cards and couldn't take cash, but then they accepted cash from customers who ordered after me. Tried the chocolate one and the coffee one and both were very tasty. The coffee one was not too sweet (they put a small drizzle of condensed milk on top) and had a nice balance of bitterness to sweetness. Came back yesterday since my last experience made me not want to come back but it was pretty good this time the rude lady with ear buds from before actually made the ice cream good this time and said "thankyou guys" when me and my husband left because they never acknowledge us when we used to come by kinda often. My favorite rolled ice cream spot! It's around $7 for a cup, but it hits the spot. The store itself is cute and has some seating available. The service is always solid, and the ice cream comes out pretty fast even when it's busy. Not too hard to find parking; it's connected to a big plaza with Gen and Sake 2 Me, but you can also park at the smaller plaza it's in. Tried the strawberry ice cream and the presentation of the finished product was so cute. They added some strawberry pocky sticks and condensed milk which made the strawberry ice cream REAL good. Portion wise could have been better but I like the artistic style of the Individual wrap of ice cream. The ice cream is freshly made so that means that it does take some time for the order to arrive. Absolutely love this place. For starters it's a small CAMBODIAN owned business. I'll admit at first I didn't know what rolled ice cream was but my daughter found it on TikTok and we went on a hunt to find one. Thankfully Cerritos had one because there wasn't another rolled ice cream place in the area. We've went to a couple since visiting Gobi but haven't found one with the vibe and decor. As our ice cream chef was making the rolled ice cream, he was doing it with love, had his ear phones in, dancing, putting on a show. TLDR; taste was mediocre and low quality, service was lacking We came in and went to where we thought we should order. The workers were busy preparing the ice cream. That's no problem we can wait. But we ended up waiting for 8-10 minutes without being acknowledged and we developed a doubt we were in the right ordering place. We ended up asking and we were in the right place. The problem wasn't the wait at all. It was the lack of acknowledgement that we were there. A "hi we'll be right with you" is all that was needed. It definitely helps with having to wait. We ordered a choco overload with a vanilla base substitution, a salty caramel, and a milk and honey. The salty caramel came with nuts. These nuts tasted so toxic and chemically, like they had absorbed the flavor of being in a plastic container for a long time and had an artificial nut flavor to it. I have no idea how they were stored, it just tasted like it was very poor quality. It overwhelmed the senses. For the choco overload, they called us over and notified they had made a mistake and did not make the substitution I had ordered. I prefer other ice creams to chocolate, but I could deal for one night. I'm not a fan of food waste and the workers had now put it on me to decide and I'm not having that on my conscience. Well I regret that, I should've had them remake it because once I tried it, I gave it away to someone else. Let me repeat that, I GAVE away ice cream. It was bad. It came with a brownie and the brownie was borderline stale and it was also low quality. I bet it's bought in bulk from Costco or something. It also tasted artificial and left a bad taste. It was supposed to come with caramel, not a substitution just how it's made, and they didn't even get that right. Additionally, part of my reasoning to not remake it is that it had taken even longer and we had already been there for half an hour. I think thirty minutes is a ridiculous amount of time to wait, especially when we weren't acknowledged for almost half of it. I truly want a refund. The ice cream is already trumped up due to the novelty of the preparation, but the ingredients are low quality, the service is low quality. I had been looking for a local roll up icecream place for a while. I ran across this place and ordered the fruity pebble roll up. The taste was not bad but the base had a different taste then I'm used to. My daughter ordered a chocolate roll up and did not like the taste at all. It had an artificial taste and just doesnt taste good. We asked if she can switch it out and they said no you have to pay again.
