Pretty sure the owners wake up early (3-4am everyday) to ensure the donuts are done for the morning 7-8am rush! We always get regular glaze, glaze twist or chocolate glaze twist. We've also enjoyed the mochi donut and cake donuts. Our toddlers lovr the "rainbow" donut and of course, donut holes. The themed donuts are so cute and really make our kids days. Only wish is that they had a dairy free option. Great for a class party or birthday celebration, or to take home to enjoy. The drinks are great too. I was looking for a donut shop where I could get a ham and cheese croissant while in the Cerritos area and stumbled upon Rainbow Donut. They have a huge selection of donuts, including specialty items like cronuts and mochi donuts. Everything looked so fresh and fluffy. I really wanted to try some, but I'm trying to cut back on sugar and was already drinking a latte, so I resisted. It took a lot of self-control not to get any! I ended up getting what I came for, a jalapeño ham and cheese croissant. The croissant was huge and kept me full for hours. It tasted freshly made and was soft yet still flaky, just how a croissant should be. Most donut shops nowadays don't seem to make their croissants as flaky. It was also generously filled with ham. Again, a lot of places I've been to lately are pretty stingy with the filling. The croissant was delicious, and I would definitely order it again. One day I'll have to come back and try the donuts. I stopped by to pick up half a dozen donuts and almost had a hard time choosing what to get. There were so many cute designs and flavors to choose from! There's a mix of your classic donuts, and creative ones such as different cereal flavors. I also picked up a mochi donut and I enjoyed how soft it was. I ordered the Jalapeño Ham and Cheese Croissant to have for lunch the following day and it was delicious. Rainbow Donuts Assemble (ish) This barely made my Avengers assemble theme of yelp reviews...barely...bare-ly Okay so... the hype for this place is basically Avengers-level. people talk about it like it's the Infinity Gauntlet of donuts. But honestly? It's more like... Ant-Man. It's fun, it's solid, but it's not exactly changing the timeline. And falls a bit short (bad pun) The creativity is def there. They have a ton of different options and flares - kinda like the Multiverse of Madness, just lots of variety. Visually they look awesome. But here is the thing. * The Icing: It felt a little thin to me. I was expecting a Hulk smash of flavor, but it was a bit weak. * The Dough: Good, but I've had better. * The Vibe: creative twists are cool but the execution is just... okay. On the bright side, the location is great and parking was actually easy (which is a superpower in itself). Overall - it's a solid spot. 3.5 stars, but not Starlord stars. My family loves their yellow cake, in the self-serve pastry case on the side wall. But why does their menu say sandwiches served all day until 10:30, but "we already closed" when I ask for one at 10:15? (Store doesn't close until midnight.) Love this place!! They have incredible service, always very friendly and patient (I'm indecisive). Excellent variety of donuts, from more basic glazed or twists to very extravagant and novelty selections. I personally am a huge fan of their mochi donuts! Came here randomly with my BFF because she was craving donuts. She ordered a blueberry and jelly donut. She said that the donuts were good. The jelly donut was not too sweet and fulfilled her sweet tooth for the day. For the blueberry donut, although slightly sweeter, the cake donut was not dry but moist. They also sold scratchers . I tried my luck and won back more than half my money back. My BFF did buy some but unfortunately didn't win anything. There are seats inside for you to enjoy your snacks and/or drink. They had a wide variety of snacks such as unique donuts, regular donuts, croissants, bagels, and muffins. Drinks they had fresh pressed juices, smoothies, coffee, lattes, teas, and espressos (coming soon). The employee there was nice. We were drawn for the scratchers not the donut although the donut looks good... but this young lady behind the counter didn't seem to happy with her job, not cordial, not smiling and when I had my scratchers checked for any winning, told me, "next time ,separate it". She wasn't busy and there were four of us doing the scratcher versus one customer who bought donuts. Lol . Full 5 STARS This used to be a different owner I believed I used to come to this place and the donuts weren't really that great This time this place is fully upgraded new owner,baker and interior revamped. So many selections of donut place in Cerritos but this place has now became my Favorite. Their donuts and breads are amazing very good quality and properly baked to perfection. Very reasonable prices I believed cheaper than you would get from expensive branded Donuts. Coffee and Matchas are very good too. If I can try all of it in one day I would. Love everything about this place! Donuts - perfectly soft and chewy. Bagels - SO GOOD!!! If you're used to very dense bagels, this isn't the place for you. The bagels are soft and more lightly doughy- can't explain it. But it's freshly baked in the morning and delicious. The asiago and jalapeño are my favorites. The mochi donuts are also really good too. Nothing is overly sweet and it's just nicely balanced. Everyone is also really nice everytime I've gone. My favorite was the crème brûlée mochi donuts (not pictured because I ate it before the camera had a chance) that had the perfect crispy/crunchy glaze to donut ratio. I'm a fan of Rainbow Donuts. Not only do they have a wide-variety of options, they have a good amount of specialty flavors (green tea, blueberry, cereal toppings, etc.) in addition to the classic cake, glazed, risen, and more. The case is a little more robust with offerings if you go earlier in the day, but even mid-week at night, there's still a good amount to choose from. Faves for me were the maple bar and chocolate cake with sprinkles. The maple was light and airy while still giving me that dose of sugar I was needing in my life, while the chocolate was super moist and rich in flavor until the very end. They sell a variety of other things and lotto tickets seem to be popular here. The guy helping me was nice and straight to the point. It's a great local spot and I'll continue to come back and support when I'm needing a donut fix. Note: They charge $1 if you're using a credit card and your total is less than $10. read more

I have the sweetest tooth that hits every once in a while. I must have passed this little shop thousands of times on my way to work, I've never stopped before because I would be super late for work. Since I've been working from home this past year, I also didn't get many chances to pop by. But with more salons and grooming services reopening, this was the logical next stop. There were a lot of delectable donuts and I got only 4: 1. my all time favorite is an apple fritter - a lot of cinnamon and allspice in the fritter and it kept its crunchy texture overnight 2.
