Stopped by on a Sunday morning looking for fresh, in-house baked bagels. Staff were cheerful, with K-pop playing in the background. I ordered a provolone pesto bagel with bacon & egg to eat there, plus a sun-dried tomato and asiago spinach to go. My food was hand-delivered, which was a nice touch. The eggs were fluffy, bacon crisp, and the bagel had a soft interior with a chewy crust. I couldn't really taste the pesto, but the overall flavor was still great. The bagels I brought home stayed fresh for a couple of days. They accidentally gave me another provolone pesto instead of asiago spinach, but it wasn't worth fussing over--they're so tasty I'll be back to try more bagels and pastries.

I've been wanting to try this place. It's nearby and gets great reviews. So last weekend my bestie and I agreed to do breakfast at her place and order takeout from here. When I got there they were VERY busy... good sign. I asked what the difference was between the ham and cheese sandwich (on bagel) and the ham and cheese omelette (on bagel. I was told the sandwich was cooked and assembled in stages (egg, then ham, then cheese) and the omelette was prepared all together and served on the bagel. Placed the order, was given a number, and a short time later the food was brought to my table, bagged up and ready to go. Nice. It was still warm when it was opened at my friend's dining table. Although it was obviously freshly prepared and very warm, it had no flavor. So that was a disappointment. Anyway, the people who worked there were polite, service was quick and efficient... food was just kind of lacking in my opinion. I may try it again but I'm not in a big hurry.

Vanilla Chai latte iced 10/10 - does not taste like a candle - Very creamy - You can choose it iced, hot or a blend - My new favorite chai Denver Omelette 7/10 - Pretty good bagel for the price - Has a lot of ingredients that blend together well - Bagel was jalapeño cheese - I wish I would've gotten cream cheese on it, I forgot to ask! This little shop was really busy when I went in so I knew it was going to be really good. They have a large variety of fresh bagel to choose from and different cream cheeses. Even though there was a line my bagel came out quickly! Their chai latte is very good, I regret not getting the 20 oz instead of the 16 oz! The service was amazing, they are very kind and attentive. If you eat in the shop they bring your bagel to you. Making this location very welcoming. Would definitely recommend and will be going again!

Great bagel spot! The bagels are soft inside. Service was very friendly and they have a nicely-timed system where we didn't wait too long for our food. You can also get 1 egg instead of 2 eggs for the breakfast sandwiches. Store is tucked in a small shopping mall and the people there were a mix of local regulars and people who just want a good bagel. I'd just say don't go with the rainbow bagel. I feel like all the food coloring messed with the integrity of what a good bagel it could've been and was very tough and dense. But overall - I will definitely return because even their Water bagels (which you rarely see) were delicious. And I need to try their Sourdough bagel because they were out when I went.

Super good! A little expensive for what I got. However their sourdough bagels are amazing. I also like how you can do half cream cheese. So I tried Chive cream cheese & Jalapeno cream cheese. Yummy!

Who doesn't love Paris? Who isn't a fan of baguettes? And when you think of a great bakery, Parisian treats come to mind. Similar to 85 Degrees in layout and business model (grab room temperature sweets and savories what you want from cases), and coffee, cakes, slices in refrigerated cases. PB also has an extensive drink list made to order. However unlike 85 Degrees, nothing is restocked after opening. I came around 5pm on Sunday. The baked food cases were more than half empty gone. Same for most of baked goods along back wall, including cookies and bread. Their baguettes seemed fresh but lacked enough crunch that I like. PB also has prepackaged meals - sandwiches and wraps. Starting at $9, I'm not taking a risk buying potentially a mediocre meal given my dissatisfaction with the pastries. They have fancy sweets like Dubai Chocolate Mochi Donuts, and Orange Cronut. Raspberry Nutella Round Croissant. You've seen them, shaped like wheels. Mine tasted a day old. The raspberry filling was too sweet and thick. (Artificial) Crab Cake - Big with good crunch but tasted much better the first time I had it. Mixed with veggies. Almond croissant- An example of deceptively good appearance. While flaky, it didn't taste buttery or light and airy. And the almond filling just tasted sweet. No trace of almond. The space is big and pretty cozy. Tables outsides on both sides of the business. Kudos for having both customer and pick up parking spaces. I'm willing to give them one more try. My sweet tooth wants to think they sell a few good items.

I believe if you fail to redeem one of the rewards, you don't get emailed the succeeding rewards, kind of like missing the front end of a one-and-one, IYKYK. You have two weeks to redeem a reward. I had redeemed my first reward of a free slice of pie at the Long Beach location, and then I was emailed the next reward, which was a free starter with any purchase. Actually, I tried to redeem this at the Cerritos location, but they goofed at redeeming my coupon because they didn't realize it was dine-in only when they actually allowed me to order to go. Whoops! I went on a Wednesday at about 6:30 PM, which was kind of another Whoops because when I came in, I noticed a ton of seniors waiting in the lobby?! I was about to leave because I thought it was some type of special event reserved for seniors only, and I didn't see an employee for a good thirty seconds. Then, I saw Adriana behind the register, and I told her I was hoping to redeem my Bingo Bonanza reward while also asking her if there was a special event of some sort going on. Adriana mentioned that the special event was Bingo, which is held on Wednesday evenings at all Polly's Pies locations, though there will be nuances in how the games will be played depending on the manager of each location. The prizes were mostly eats, which didn't really interest me, but she told me I could dine in without having to play bingo. She took me to a dining booth in the middle of the dining area, but needed to wipe the table first. There were plenty of other tables in the near dining section, and the farther section was reserved for bingo. After Adriana set down a menu and silverware at the table, I studied the menu to see what I wanted. I've recently started to watch what I eat, so I tried to order the healthiest meal possible. For the starter, I went with the Southern Pimento Cheese Dip. For the any purchase, I went with the Avocado & Friends Sandwich. A few minutes later, Maria introduced herself to me as my server and set a pitcher of water down alongside a straw. I told her I was ready to order, but we seemed to have a communication barrier that I needed to clarify my question multiple times for her to understand. Like if I were a first time customer of Polly's Pies, I wouldn't have known that green beans or mixed vegetables were an option for a side to go with a sandwich; the menu simply said fries or coleslaw for no additional charge, and Maria initially said those two as well before I asked about the other choices. And even so, Maria wasn't sure what exactly was in the mixed vegetables, but once she named three of them, I was already sold lol. Right after Maria went to deliver my order ticket to the kitchen, I noticed that the straw I was given was shorter than the water pitcher. Adriana happened to be nearby, and I informed her of this sizing mishap. She apologized and went to fetch me a water cup. It took about 10 minutes before I was given the Southern Pimento Cheese Dip, and another minute or two afterwards, I was given the Avocado & Friends sandwich with mixed vegetables. The Southern Pimento Cheese Dip was pretty good! In addition to the dip itself, it comes with slices of cucumbers, carrots, and baguette, kind of like a mini veggie charcuterie board. The Avocado & Friends Sandwich, while tasty, was more like an Avocado & Too Many Friends Sandwich as I didn't taste much avocado in the sandwich, which was pretty much the reason why I ordered this sandwich! The sandwich can be ordered on white, wheat, sourdough, or raisin bread; I chose wheat. I didn't see Maria again, but Layla was the server making rounds around the dining area, and she was real sweet, especially to the elderly! She even checked on me 2 or 3 times during my meal. She was real fast, but that's also because she was the only server tending to the non-bingo playing customers. I had to show my email coupon to Layla so she could apply it on my check. It seemed Layla and Adriana had given me contradictory instructions on how to redeem the dine-in coupon, but I eventually went up to the front to pay for my meal. As I was finishing up my dinner, I overheard the manager running the Bingo game by announcing some of the prizes: Who wants Doublemint Gum?! Who wants Reese's Pieces?! Who wants Lifesavers?! They all sound good, but all sugary sweets? Or maybe the baked goods would be offered later that evening? I didn't bother to stay to find out lol. Anyways, it was a good enough visit to the Polly's Pies in Los Alamitos that I'm willing to give another star here. I would have given 4 on this visit, but since 2 and 4 don't average to a 4, I'm leaving this at 3 stars for now. Keep up the great work Layla and team!
