I haven't been to Grounds since perhaps 2003, and only had coffee there. Didn't even know they served food till yesterday when I was hankering for breakfast and wanted to try something new. The everything stick bagel with salmon, tomato, onion, and cucumbers has been haunting my dreams ever since, to the point that I went out and purchased the ingredients to make it for myself tomorrow morning. I suspect my version will leave me wanting, and that i'll be at Grounds as often as possible to get this. I was at first confused that cream cheese wasn't a part of this - and in fact, requested it to be added, but my delivery showed up without. Whatever, I muscled through without cream cheese. Well, good for me, because wow, was it perfect otherwise. I swear to you, 36 hours later I can still taste that amazing breakfast sandwich. We have been going to Grounds for years. Their delicious bagels are so unique, lighter and less chewy than a typical bagel. We also enjoy the sandwiches, made on their freshly baked breads. I love their pizza, very thin crust and tasty toppings. Their pastries are delicious. They also have baked items on one day old items, and we have gotten bagels that still taste great. The staff is always friendly and the restaurant is clean. We are glad that Grounds has been in our neighborhood for many years and wish them continued success. read more

It was one of those days where we couldn't decide what we wanted to eat. So fresh baked bread and healthy sandwiches it is! And this is the perfect local spot to go. We both got turkey sandwiches. Mine with bacon on brown bread and his with avocado on sourdough. The sandwiches were fresh and loaded with meat! They come with a side of potato salad, macaroni or chips. And of course we had to get dessert from a bakery. We shared a blueberry scone. It was delicious but the texture seemed more like a muffin to me. We often visit Grounds when we are visiting my sister and her family. There is a large selection of breakfast sandwiches and bagels and pastries. We are always warmly greeted when we come in. It is almost alway busy when we go in so obviously it's a great place to be! There are pictures of former patrons all over and it is a homey environment with a sense of familiarity. My nieces always get the cinnamon sugar bagel with strawberry cream cheese. This time I got the spinach bagel with cucumber dill cream cheese. It was delicious! My son got the chicken club sandwich in sourdough and reported it was tasty, too. We look forward to coming back again! read more

Such a wonderful variety of food items at this 30+ year family owned spot! Glad it's not closer to my home or I would be here- Every. Single. Day. Staff was very friendly, helpful and answered all my questions about the bakery items. The bagels are enormous, and the muffins good sized as well. All the pastries they had in stock at 12:30 looked great. They have a nice variety of bread loaves for purchase. Only the cookies were tiny and not that appealing but probably taste good all the same! They are open for breakfast and lunch; one can grab a quick bite or full meal, order ahead online for pickup or delivery, dine in or carry out. There is a coffee bar, salads and sandwiches made to order and daily soups. I took a couple of muffins to go this visit but will be back many more times I am sure to sample the whole menu. My Morning muffin was so moist it was falling apart as I cut it open. It was a bit sweet but delicious. I could taste the raisins, carrot, coconut and nuts. Can't remember the last time I came here. That's how long ago it is. Gladly, I'm back to see my original primary care doc at Optum across the street, and stopped by with nostalgia. Grounds Bakery Cafe has not changed! They now have outside seating as well! Probably because of Covid and that's a good thing, right? I picked up my favorite Blueberry Muffin and a cup of coffee. I love their DIY coffee stand! Choices + Choices! I got myself a Hazelnut Blend... yummy! The rambling ambience is not that loud and patrons are having warm conversations throughout the cafe. I've stopped by twice now, and both times I've been fairly disappointed. I always assumed this was a coffee shop, but it's more of a sit-down restaurant cafe vibe rather than your typical relaxed spot to just grab a coffee, a bagel, and lounge around. The first time, I ordered a blended coffee--I think it was the brownie flavor--and it just tasted like frozen coffee, with hardly any brownie flavor. Today, I tried the cafe mocha, which was just coffee with a hint of chocolate. I ended up taking it home and adding more chocolate powder to give it some real flavor. When I poured it into a cup at home, I noticed there was zero foam. Every time, I've ordered a plain bagel with cream cheese--fairly basic. They spread the cream cheese directly onto the toasted bagel like a sandwich, then cut it into fours, which was a new experience for me. Sadly, there was a bit too much cream cheese with each bite. Wow. These bagels are truly so unique and different to the surrounding bagel shops. The bagels are very fluffy and light and taste so fresh! First time trying Grounds Cafe and it did not disappoint. My fiancé and his gym buddies tried this place earlier in the week and he brought me a grilled chicken club sandwich and some desserts from this restaurant and it did not disappoint. The grilled chicken club was made to perfection, good ratio of meat, bacon, cheese, and not too much lettuce. The banana cream pudding was delicious and fairly priced. The tiramisu was delectable and light, you can really taste the flavor of the soaked coffee in the lady fingers. During this visit we shared a chocolate chip bagel with strawberry cream cheese spread, a chocolate chip muffin, and a blended cookie coffee freeze. The bagel was perfect, it was light and airy and not dense like other bagels, and complemented well with the strawberry cream cheese. The muffin was also delicious and not heavy. We were so full we did not finish everything we ordered and took the remaining chocolate croissant, tiramisu, banana pudding, and yogurt parfait home. Service was great, April our server made sure that our order was correct and she packaged the pastries that we wanted to enjoy at home. I love this place! The food is incredibly good, probably because they make their own bakery goods. My favorite breakfast sandwich is the #1. Their bagels are perfect - so soft, but just the right amount of crispiness when toasted. The lemon pepper in the #1 hits just right when added to cream cheese and tomato. YUM! While this sandwich is my go to, I've never had a bad sandwich here. As for service, I've never had a problem with that either. I am not a huge fan of bagels but when my company first brought them for a breakfast event I fell in love with the cheddar bagel offered here. I've never had a bagel so fluffy and not overwhelmed by excess dough. It is perfectly crispy and they are not stingy with cream cheese which is hard to find now a days. I love that they cut it into 4 pieces because it makes it bite size especially when ur on the go or with kids. I love the cinnamon sugar, pumpkin , and cheese bagel the most! I stopped by before my doctor's appointment at this busy bakery. There are booths and many tables about 75% full at 10 AM. This is not a hipster joint, even though there were some hip looking people there. I saw many families and several senior citizens sitting together. This seems to be a watering hole and a popular one at that. I was gobsmacked by the large selection of quality baked goods and the self-serve coffee area. The coffee, I got the French roast, was really good and hot. I do not know about you, but I have encountered these Coffee dispensers often are not as hot as one would like. This place is an exception to the rule. I was pleased as Punch to learn they have jalapeño cream cheese. I ordered it. But what I got was not cream cheese. It was some sort of spread. The spread did have some jalapeños which were very fresh. But it was thin and seems to have been a sandwich spread similar to mayonnaise. But, it was freaking good. It had a smoky heat that lingered in my mouth. Really yummy. But, it wasn't cream cheese, which is what requested. . If I were to guess, I would say the spread was at most 25% cream cheese.
