I'm so glad I decided to try this place. They offer a wide assortment of pan dulce at very reasonable prices. Honestly, on the more affordable side compared to similar bakeries. What really stood out to me, though, was the food menu. The papas con chorizo quesadilla was incredible, rich, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. The mole tamales wrapped in banana leaves immediately let me know I was eating something truly special, and the rajas con queso tamales were just as phenomenal. My grandson's girlfriend bought me 2 danish. One was apple, one cherry. The danish was very heavy. I have bought them to take to work before and they were light and very good. Have they changed baker?There was no butter in the pastry. I was very disappointed in the quality. Tough, heavy and not good! Porto's is 100% better. Light, flaky and yummy. Went in in the evening with my husband and two children. We didn't get greeted at all. We picked up our bread, she started to bag the bread and STILL didn't greet us. She seriously didn't say hello, Hola, what's up, NOTHING! It bothers me. Old school people especially, should have better customer service. We felt VERY unwelcome. Second to last but not least, no "thank you, gracias, get out of here, come again"... NOTHING! Isn't was as if she seriously only tended to us because she a as forced to. Never ordering a cake from this bakery again ! I ordered my husband a cake for his birthday tomorrow and the writing on the cake looked like a child wrote it ! The lady called some guy who I'm going to assume is the owner and all he had to say was "Esa es la forma en que los estamos haciendo", how are you going to give someone a cake with ugly writing A DAY BEFORE VALENTINES DAY AND THEN SAY THATS HOW YOU GUYS ARE CURRENTLY MAKING THEM ?! I unfortunately didn't get a picture of the writing for everyone to see but I asked the dude on the phone to remove the writing and I'd go find some Happy Birthday decorations if this was going to be the case. Didn't offer any type of discount or an apology, pretty sad. The lady removed the writing as best as she could and then let me know that she ran out of the white frosting. Soo you can see less frosting on a corner and can see some of the cake ...... She gave me free candles but even the candles are melted and ugly ! I have ordered cakes from here in the past and I have NEVER had any type of issues until today. ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS ! Take your business somewhere else ! read more

3 stars on the tamales but 5 on the pan dulce. The tamales are unfortunately very crumbly, which can only mean not enough lard was used as a binder. I guess I could call them the "low fat" version. Hehe Chicken chile - the winner taste-wise; tasty Cheese & jalapeno - ok Pork - greasy and not a lot of taste. I've never tried their pan dulce but have tried all of their tamales and they're great. A bit more lard/masa than I'd like but better than dry tamales. Their corn husk tamales (2.25 each) are fine but I really like the Oaxacan tamales (2.75 each) steamed in banana leaves (queso con rajas, pollo con mole, pollo con chile). I got $20 worth of tamales and they gave me a free holiday goody bag filled with Cheetos, bite-size chocolates, and other delicious things. read more

If I could give them a 0 star I would... Please be careful when buying bread from this bakery... About 2 wks ago I went in to buy my mom some of her favorite pastries and I noticed mold on their bread. There were more customers in the bakery and I didn't want to alarmed them.. So, I quietly walked over to the register and informed one of the employees... She didn't say anything she just walked over to the display cabinet and removed the tray... A thank you would have been nice. It was the least she can do, RIGHT? And I also noticed that their other bread was not fresh. It looked old and sweaty. Now I wonder if their bread is freshly baked every morning or they save the bread they don't sell for as long as they can!?!?!?!? One more thing, the ladies there always have attitude... Came here after some of that great MinEaThai across the street for a cool drink to hit the sweet spot. First off, it's hot as balls but smells amazing in here. Secondly, check out the note they have about the massage therapist guy who moved to a different location... He was charged with rape, so kinda eerie. Anyways, I got a creamy fruit smoothie and it tasted like cheesecake. The woman there didn't speak any English to me, but that's fine because my Spanish is enough to get around. If you dont mind the heat, the lack of parking, minor communicative difficulty (for some people, not me), and the awkward looks from their neighbor, the ridiculously good looking attorney, I'd recommend it. Also, while I didnt try their pandulce, everything looked superb and smelled heavenly so I'm still giving them credit for it. read more

3 1/2 stars. Place is really cheap for it's baked goods and there are some solid things here. For what you pay, I really can't complain. Got a bunch of cookies and some other pastries and they're all tasty. Not too sweet for any of it so I liked that. read more

Great little panaderia. The bread was soft n delicious and they had bolillos available which is a big plus. Many places sell out n they don't bother baking more. Btw the bolillos are really really good. Parking is ok it's not their fault. read more

This place is not good at all i gave them 5 chances for some reason bread looks nice but is old hard as a rock you can probably knock somebody out with it I do not recommended is dirty and they sell you old bread not worth it plus the parking sucks. read more

Both times I've come here, the people have been very friendly on top of the pan dulce and Tamales being as fresh as it gets. I believe each Tamale were $1.25 each and they are pretty decent size. I highly recommend this place! read more

Ok - so I've lived near this place for the past 12 years, but never stepped inside - until today. I thought I'd see if they had fresh bolillos (husband enjoys them) I'm talking about the sweet, breakfast-roll type of bolillos. I went in and there were racks of baked goods - the place smelled great. I wasn't sure if they were just a supplier of baked goods to other stores, or if they sold goods to walk-in customers. A gentleman came out, but he only spoke Spanish, so he went and got someone who spoke English. It appears you can come in off the street and buy their delicious-smelling baked goods. The guy gave me a tray with some tongs, and I went and filled the tray with the baked goods I wanted from the racks, and he then rang me up (BTW - 3 sweet bolillos for $1 - good deal!) I left with my bolillos and devoured one of them when I got home. Really fresh - so much better than Food 4 Less (their's aren't fresh - sorry). I'm saving the other two for breakfast tomorrow - if I can wait that long :). (They sell other baked goods, too. I'll need to go back and give them a try.) read more
