2 Passion Fruit Green Tea ICED LARGE with Boba
    D.j. P.

I stopped by 85°C Bakery Cafe and ordered two passion fruit green teas. I only asked for one to have boba and the other without, but both drinks came with boba. Not a big deal, but I write my reviews truthfully and little details like this matter. It also took about 15 minutes to get my drinks, which felt a bit long. That said, the drinks were still really good and refreshing. The cafe itself is clean and organized, and it is always nice to see all the bread and pastries on display. On this visit some of the bread looked like it had been sitting out for a while, but I know from past visits that if you come here in the morning everything looks much fresher. Overall, I still enjoy this location and would come back, but a little more attention to details would make the experience perfect.

A solid 85 Bakery! We dropped by midday and were pleasantly surprised by the fun Halloween decorations--they really added a festive touch to the place. The selection of bread was quite good at that time, and we picked up a few pastries at very reasonable prices. Everything was fresh, and the atmosphere was inviting. Really enjoyed the decorations--it made the visit extra enjoyable!

One of my go to bakeries for cakes, pastries, and drinks. I like all the fresh breads that they make daily. My go to are the coconut almond twist bread, the taro filled bread, the milk bread. I haven't tried all of the varieties yet but they look delicious. I came here to pick up a birthday cake for my boyfriend and they have plenty of options. The mango mousse cake called out to me so I got it. I like that it wasn't too sweet, fresh mango and fruit toppings. The cake itself was light and airy not dense like most cake. The cream has hints of mango and was delicious. The staff member who helped me was very nice, professional, and helpful. I like this location because it has lots of parking spaces, it's clean, and it has plenty of seating to enjoy your goods and hangout.

Food in this company is always good. Service was fast that the cashier forgot to get my slice of cake. Inside is clean and pastries are well stock.

This is one of the branches of 85 that I found they have a variety of cakes for me to choose from. There are some new cake models that I have not seen in other branches. The bakery space is a bit small but the arrangement of tables, chairs and cake shelves is very optimal and reasonable. Their staff all try to serve as quickly and as best as possible. The drinks they make are quite delicious, rich in flavor, not too sweet. However, parking here may be a bit limited if you buy on weekdays when school is in session, it will be quite difficult to find a parking space.

TL;DR- Super cute interior and lots of seating, yummy pastries! Some indoor seating, staff is very courteous and fast when making drinks. Bonus: registers w/ credit card for ordering drinks Food- LOTS OF CHOICES! Sea salt jasmine green tea: 10/10 Sea salt caramel tea: 10/10 Red bean pastry: 9/10 Potato croquet (good airfried): 9/10 Tiramisu cheesecake: 8/10

Been going to this 85 since it first opened. Really great bakery but the bread size has gone significantly down. Unfortunately it is pretty pricey now for a small bread but they do have unique flavors that taste good. Tried the salt bread and it was okay, just standard bread taste. For valentines there was chocolate strawberries which were so good! Sea salt jasmine green tea is also a classic from there. The staff are very friendly but sometimes the line is long to checkout since this location is fairly busy with people buying lots of bread and cake. Ample seating inside but the tables are a bit dirty since they don't really get wiped during the day.

When you are having a stressful day....week....month...and your sister-in-law presents you a box of 85 degree goodies... beautiful. For your guidance, this review is based solely on taste of its products. I had the chocolate croissant yesterday and it was really good even the day after. It warmed up nicely in the toaster oven. And paired lovely with an espresso with a little milk. Today I had the Ube bread, the whole thing. Wow. It's sweet by my standards, but definitely less sweet than a donut! This paired very well with a hot cup of green tea. There is something about receiving a box of pastries that really makes your soul happy. So next time when you wonder how you can make someone in your life feel loved, visit this bakery and pick out some of their favorite goodies. I am sure you will be able to find a little something for that special person. Bon appetit!

Wonderful iced coffee and my new favorite LEMON MUFFINS! Have you tried them yet? Go early before they run out.

Prior to my dad's birthday party, we stopped here to pick up a black bean or matcha filled dessert that my dad had requested. They have both available every day, so we didn't have to pre-order. Parking is readily available; 85C Bakery Cafe is in a strip mall, and it looks like there shouldn't be an issue with parking UNLESS Cypress High School has ended their school day and students (walking or driving) make a stop at any of the food places in the strip mall. Good luck finding parking, in that situation. 85C Bakery Cafe is a Taiwanese-owned company. The original idea behind the founder's reason for opening up 85C Bakery Cafe was to provide a cafe that provides premium coffee, bread, and cake at affordable prices. I think that the company has done a great job sticking to that original idea. For the quality and freshness of especially the baked and drink items, the prices are great. In this store, customers can walk through past packaged baked items on open shelves and physically take the items they want to purchase. Just about everything looked so tasty and well-presented when we walked through looking dad's dessert, which we found. Many of my personal favorite desserts were in the refrigerated glass enclosed display at the counter. Lots of various cakes with fresh looking fruit either in or on top of the cakes. Employees here are customer focused, quick and efficient. The store itself is well lit. The space for customers to walk in the baked goods area is not wide enough to allow people to walk through without bumping into others. Tables are available as an option for customers to enjoy their purchases. The store wasn't clean, especially around the trash receptacle and the floor was dirty, looking like someone had spilled a large drink and others walked through it. I didn't have time to return to 85C Bakery Cafe during this trip, but I definitely will during future visits to Southern California.

Did they discontinue the espresso bun? I couldnt find it last time I went in and it's not on the website?

I think they did but I'm not sure

Is the squid ink (calamari) stick bread not being sold anymore? My mom went this morning and was told by one of the workers that it has been discontinued for a while.

They discontinued it because of how well it was sold. The company looks at the sales, at all stores, for each bread and depending on the average of those sales assists in deciding whether the bread should continue to be sold or not.

Does 85 degrees have gluten-free options?

No, there are no gluten-free options

I sat at the one available table and savored both items. The Biscoff latte was iced, with just enough ice to make it cold. I appreciate that they didn't overdo the ice like most coffee places. The flavor of cookie butter was vivid, sweet, and delicious. The cream top and crumbles of Biscoff added to the visual appeal. The lemon bar was slightly sweet and citrusy, with a tasty thin outer crust, the top of which was sprinkled with powdered sugar. For me, this was a perfect lemon bar in every way. I tried Da Vien a few months back, but haven't had the opportunity to return back until a few days ago. I remembered this location used to be a Lee's Sandwich located before it got renovated into Da Vien Coffee. I believe Da Vien is a Vietnamese chain, but I was not interested in trying their Vietnamese coffee since there are other numerous locations that offer Vietnamese coffee. Hence, I decided to try their other drinks to see if they could replicate the authentic Chinese/Taiwanese feeling. This time, I ordered the Strawberry Milk Matcha and the Brown Sugar Fresh Milk. My first attempt with the Brown Sugar Fresh Milk I had a complete brain freeze since it completely remind me of authentic boba milk tea from Taiwan! On the other hand, the matcha was alright - I would skip it next time. The wait time at the drive-thru was a little longer than I would like (20+ minutes). This was during peak time with multiple cars in line. Nevertheless, paying for the drinks and then getting the drinks was a quick 2-3 minutes. Overall, I would come back if I was near the area or if one of their locations was closer to where I live.

Their ube matcha was my absolute favorite but any time I order it now it tastes super off. Also they recently upped the prices of their ham and Swiss croissants which was one of my favorite reasons for going there was getting a decent sized croissant for under $4. Now it's up to $5. I fear they're worried too much about expanding to more locations and becoming a popular chain rather than the quality of their matcha or drinks anymore.

The location has plenty of parking and plenty of seating. There is an outdoor patio, and inside there is a first floor seating area, and a second floor seating area. The interior had high ceilings and modern practical decor. Staff will take your order at the cashier, but they also have a kiosk if you want to avoid human interaction. I was here for a few hours, so I started off with a hot beverage since I saw that they have mug service. I had the hot Churro Latte ($8.15/large) and I was warned it's a bit sweet so staff suggested that I get it less sweet. I appreciated the gesture but maybe that's why I didn't taste too much of the churro flavor. It tasted like a good regular latte but maybe they held back on the caramel and cinnamon to the point I couldn't detect it. Seating is first come first serve. It was actually really busy and difficult to find an ideal spot. Since I was alone I sat at a high top ledge, strategically near an outlet. From what I saw, they had a really good amount of outlets in the indoor seating area. Later on I went back and ordered an iced Blueberry Lavender Matcha with Cold Foam ($9.25/large) and a Deluxe Avocado Toast ($15) which comes with egg, bacon, and herb oil. I like that this location serves the avocado toast with a knife and fork cause it was much needed. It was a bit on the wet side. Maybe I should ask for light herb oil next time. For how much this avocado toast cost, I would have liked more avocado. The avocado was more of a spread, not whole slices of avocado. Still good, just an observation. The blueberry lavender matcha was okay. I could taste the lavender but it was overpowering the matcha and the blueberry was hard to detect at all. Honestly the location and plentiful seatings is what stood out most from this experience. I would consider coming back since I know their products are good from trying their other locations but I wouldn't get the drinks I ordered this time. For how expensive coming here was, I wish I was a little more satisfied.
