2nd time here. 1st time was good but this time it was a waste of money. We ordered online and came in to pick it up. Online order said it would take 25 mins for 2 drinks. Entered the store it was not busy at all, 2 ladies waiting on their drinks. We looked around at the snacks but they were out of everything we wanted. 1st visit they were also out of a lot. Both early in the day. I waited for an alert that my order was ready but never got one. So I asked about our drinks and they hadn't been started. We watched her make the drinks for the ladies in front of us who were also annoyed. They got some kind of Mango looking drinks. I watched the girl use the same spoons to make our drinks which were strawberry... I'm guessing they just use one spoon all day? Good thing I'm not allergic to anything. Not a big deal, but I write my reviews truthfully and little details like this matter. It also took about 15 minutes to get my drinks, which felt a bit long. That said, the drinks were still really good and refreshing. The cafe itself is clean and organized, and it is always nice to see all the bread and pastries on display. On this visit some of the bread looked like it had been sitting out for a while, but I know from past visits that if you come here in the morning everything looks much fresher. First of all this location is close to the High School so expect alot of young students. As I enter it's really crowded and there's a lot to choose from pastries and bread to drinks like matcha etc. I decided to get a tiramisu cheesecake and it's was ok good. In the sense that it's was balanced and not so sweet nor to tasteless. It was also smooth and fresh in every-bite. But I didn't like the service as I was next in line and was saying my order then the person starts screaming over me in saying "Next in line" !!! This is one of the branches of 85 that I found they have a variety of cakes for me to choose from. There are some new cake models that I have not seen in other branches. The bakery space is a bit small but the arrangement of tables, chairs and cake shelves is very optimal and reasonable. Their staff all try to serve as quickly and as best as possible. The drinks they make are quite delicious, rich in flavor, not too sweet. However, parking here may be a bit limited if you buy on weekdays when school is in session, it will be quite difficult to find a parking space. read more

Unfortunately it is pretty pricey now for a small bread but they do have unique flavors that taste good. Tried the salt bread and it was okay, just standard bread taste. For valentines there was chocolate strawberries which were so good! Sea salt jasmine green tea is also a classic from there. The staff are very friendly but sometimes the line is long to checkout since this location is fairly busy with people buying lots of bread and cake. The original idea behind the founder's reason for opening up 85C Bakery Cafe was to provide a cafe that provides premium coffee, bread, and cake at affordable prices. I think that the company has done a great job sticking to that original idea. For the quality and freshness of especially the baked and drink items, the prices are great. In this store, customers can walk through past packaged baked items on open shelves and physically take the items they want to purchase. Just about everything looked so tasty and well-presented when we walked through looking dad's dessert, which we found. Many of my personal favorite desserts were in the refrigerated glass enclosed display at the counter. Lots of various cakes with fresh looking fruit either in or on top of the cakes. Employees here are customer focused, quick and efficient. The store itself is well lit. The space for customers to walk in the baked goods area is not wide enough to allow people to walk through without bumping into others. Tables are available as an option for customers to enjoy their purchases. The store wasn't clean, especially around the trash receptacle and the floor was dirty, looking like someone had spilled a large drink and others walked through it. All the coffee drinks (iced or hot) I have ever had here have always been great. Love the sea salt foam! Tea drinks with boba were a hit or miss. Sometimes the boba was undercooked. So undercooked that the center was still hard. And then other times the boba was good. Soft and chewy. After about the 3rd or 4th time with undercooked boba, I decided this isn't the place to get boba. I will stick to the coffee and pastries. Pastries are delicious and affordable. My kids love the milk pudding bun and mango custard bun. My go to is the matcha choco bun. This pairs nicely with a cup of black coffee. My most recent visit, I decided to try the taro mochi boroh and matcha red bean roll. Good flavors, yummy, and love the mochi texture! However, I wish there was more mochi in the center. When I divided it into 6 relatively equal pieces to share with my kids, half the pieces did not have mochi in it. And the matcha red bean roll was lacking the sweet cream. When I sliced the roll, I could see a very thin layer if the white sweet cream. Just needs a little more to look like the promo pics.
