Parking wasn't bad. When I walked in there a was line, nothing crazy. The joint ain't too big, but good for one on one. When I got to the counter, a blond Asian lady helped get my order. I asked her what went good with the Joe special, and she recommended the cheddar jalapeño bagel. I also added the 4-2-1 coffee. Took a seat and within 5 minutes everything was done. Their lox bagels are pretty good. I will say that I wasn't too big of a fan of the thick, chunky slices of red onion, the flavor was just too overwhelming. I also thought that the amount of cream cheese on the bagel was a bit on the lighter side, but maybe I'll ask for a bit more next time. Was super craving bagels one day and thought to check out this bagel shop. I came here kind of late because I got here around 2pm so when I got there a lot of the specialty flavors had already been sold out which is kind of what I wanted to try. But the service here was quick and attentive, I got the cinnamon glaze bagel which was really good and I should have got it with the flavored cream cheese but I got it with the regular cream cheese and it was really good. My only complaint is that I should have gotten flavored and it felt kind of pricey, but other than that the bagels are solid and would come back to try some of the other flavors and creations. Its a great stop for a pit stop near the house. I also got my mom the jalapeno bagel and she said it was really good as well. Of the four locations here, this is the first one that was in the Long Beach-Lakewood area. As you can see from the reviews, it's a local's favorite. They have bagels, bagel sandwiches, glazed donuts, and coffee. Also popular are bagel bombs, which are round bagel bites that are filled with a hefty amount of cream cheese. This is not the best for me because it's guaranteed that I'll get the white cream all over my clothes. It tends to be a messy proposition for me. When I have their bagels with cream cheese, I don't really get as much of the characteristic chewiness that I personally look for in a boiled/baked bagel; however, I do appreciate that they bake their bagels in house daily and if you get a flavored bagel (eg: everything bagel, garlic, sesame, etc.), it's generously topped with the key ingredient(s). I find that the bagels at Cassidy are A-OK. I'll eat it without hesitation if I want a solid, filling breakfast sandwich or bagel on the go! I'm happy that they're expanding and I wish them the best.
