Came back for some dessert. I was not feeling the Halo Halo this time, but instead their ice cream. I was really looking forward to the Macadamia Nut ice cream so I got a double scoop with one scoop of Macadamia nut and one scoop of Kauai Pie. Placed our orders and paid and just waiting for them to prepare it. Just for them to tell me after the fact, that they were out of Macadamia Nut. If they knew that before I ordered, I would have ordered a single scoop. I first had a halo-halo bowl many years ago when a Filipino coworker took me to try one, so I was genuinely excited when I stumbled across this place while searching online. I did ask if they have any sugar free flavors (just so I can put it in here for people who have dietary restrictions) he said all syrups are made there and they don't offer sugar free. But you can always say go easy on the syrup. Once the workers came out from the back ( it was a young guy and a young girl working here) things did go pretty smooth. They give you a ticket and then call your number to come pick it up at the counter when it's ready. My family and close friends have been loyal customers of this place since we discovered it about 10 years ago. We absolutely love their açaí bowls and shaved ice. Today, I went in to pick up an açaí bowl for my daughter and I too share. I thought I'd save some money if I bought a large signature bowl and share, but when I got it, it was 3/4 full or 1/4 empty(literally). When I asked the worker what was going on with the bowl not being filled to the top, she said, "that's how we make them. "I disagree because we have had them many times and never has it been so low. He was patient, professional, and so accommodating with all of our requests. They stepped in when they had a cancellation and gladly worked with us on short notice.
