Great Aci bowls. There was an incident that happened outside the store and I was scared as well as other customers. I asked the girl behind the counter if she could please lock the door we all were scared and she denied and also another worker was hiding in the back. I asked the girl then can you call the police and she wouldn't so I did . I am very disappointed in the staff and I tried to call the owners and left messages for them to recommend teaching staff how to keep customers safe including themselves and I never received a call back so it left me to leave this review which I was avoiding. On a berry brand hyperfixation for the last couple months and I basically get the same thing every time but it's so good!!! I get the 12 oz bowl which is $10 but it's unlimited toppings! Great flavors and quality. I get half acai and half coconut base (blue and pink), hemp granola, and matcha chia seeds which imo is the best combo. I get all the fruits blueberry strawberry and banana. With agave on top. Chefs kiss. Service is super fast and they have two people working the front. One of my favorite Acai bowl places in Orange County! My friend got me hooked on them ever since they introduced me to them a few years ago. Their asian flavor bases are so good and the workers are very generous with the toppings and help stack your acai to the top! I've been to the Berry Brand location in Long Beach and loved it so I was excited to see that there is a location even closer to me in Cerritos. Berry Brand offers a variety of pre built bowls but you also have the option of build your own bowls. I opted for the build your own bowl with an ube base and really enjoyed it! I appreciate how they offer unlimited toppings here and that they have a decent variety to choose from. They also offer 9 different bases and you can either have one or a few bases--it's up to you! I opted for the ube base (because I'm a sucker for anything ube) and thought the ube flavor was really good! My one critique is that I wish that the base was less icy because I felt like I had to let it melt slightly before I could fully enjoy it. The store itself is bright, cute, and modern! There are a few seats inside, however, they were all taken when I came, so I took my bowl to go. Service here was patient and friendly. The store itself is located in a strip mall with a parking lot. Tried two different açaí bowls and both were good! The acai base was creamy and thick. Bowl 1: Açaí base with pumpkin granola, vanilla chia pudding, strawberries, blueberries, banana, sunflower seeds, and a drizzle of agave. Great texture and flavor combo the chia pudding was a nice touch. Bowl 2: Açaí base with chocolate chia granola, strawberries, banana, and cacao nibs. The chocolate chia granola was new to me and pretty interesting! Would've loved a bit more fruit though especially more strawberries, since fruit options seemed limited (just banana, strawberry, and blueberry from what I could see). Service was okay. The inside as really cute. There isn't seating inside so it is definitely a take out spot. Overall, solid spot for açaí bowls, especially if you like a creamy base with some unique toppings. This might sound crazy, but this was my first time at an acai bowl place! I was looking for something refreshing in the area and found Berry Brand on Yelp, and I'm glad I did! Upon walking in, I noticed the store is small and relatively empty. There are a few bar stool type seats to sit along the little counter. I was taking my bowl to go so I didn't need seating but there is some available. I ended up ordering a 12oz Island Bowl, and I swapped the banana chips for almonds and changed agave for apple honey. It just sounded good! 2 women were working and they were both friendly and helpful with questions and making customizations. I had read reviews before coming here, and I did not experience any of the negative aspects mentioned in some of the reviews. Service was friendly. My bowl was filled generously and I almost couldn't figure out how to start eating without making a mini-toppings avalanche! Fruits were fresh. My 12oz bowl was $10, which seemed fair given how full it was with fresh ingredients. On to the bowl! This was delicious. Cold, refreshing, and just what I needed. Every layer complemented the other layers perfectly. I wish I had a location closer to home but this will just have to be my special treat when I am working in the area. Great place to stop in before a picnic at the nearby park! Price: $10 for the 12oz with unlimited toppings. They fill it to the brim and aren't shy about it! Topping selection is great, although I will say I'd love more variety on fruits (banana, blueberry, and strawberry available). For the base, they had some great acai alternatives including pandan and ube which were a great surprise! Service/Ambiance: Friendly, quick, and efficient staff that greets you with a smile. I don't feel like ube acai bowls are that plentiful in this genre of food so it's a unique option to try. I probably shouldn't be repeating this because I don't know how controversial it may be, but my guys compare it to "Halo-halo" saying that it tastes like it, but "healthier". LOL. Don't come for us. One thing I really like here that I don't really see at many other acai spots so far, is that they have the option of "warm oats" as a base (I believe it doesn't last all day though, only while available) but I think it tastes really good, and I enjoy being able to mix warm oats with the rest of my bowl! When it comes to the inside, it's spacious, but they do not have any tables to sit and dine in at. Stopped by this place after a walk at Cerritos Park. Was greeted right away upon entering. Another worker even came out right way to help my wife and I.
