Pur bowls is located inside Nguyen's Kitchen which is convenient and delicious. We had a light dinner and then shared a bowl afterwards. The matcha base with granola, mango and berries was delicious, but there are so many other combinations to try, I will probably be getting something new next time. The staff is very kind and helpful. We were sitting in the restaurant for awhile eating dinner and noticed it would be completely empty and then all of a sudden there is a line out the door. The staff handled this phenomenon with efficiency and kindness. The eating area is very clean and orderly. I will definitely be visiting again.

Berry base, and coconut. So fresh and good!

Clean restaurant, welcoming, and great staff- Angelica and aw man I forgot the other lady's name. Staff make a difference! Fresh foods and delicious açaí bowls with a good variety of flavors and fruits. I'll be back with my mom

I came on a Saturday afternoon with my daughter to get a sweet treat. The place wasn't too busy yet, and we greeted warmly by the staff. I did a 12-oz bowl "build your own bowl." I couldn't decided on what base to get. The worker was so nice and patient with me. She let me sample all the flavors and talked with me as we were building my bowl. I got the Pur-Berry and Mango. I got pineapple as a topping and it was freshly sliced. I love how the toppings were unlimited if you want more of any toppings, you can just ask. I love how the base and the toppings have a nice contrast. The base isn't too sweet, and it's quite refreshing. I will come back to try some more.

Pur bowls is a new addition to LB, located off Bellflower and Stearns, next to Trader Joes, and it shares a space with Nguyen Kitchen. They offer some interesting flavor combinations for their fruit bowls. While I got a pitaya (dragonfruit) bowl, they have fruit bases comprising of matcha, mango, acai, and chocolate, which feels like a fresh spin on these loaded bowls of fruit. I like that they charge you based on your size, but not on what you add into your bowl. There aren't tons of hidden upcharges that cause a surprise at the register. My wife went with the cacao bowl, which is incredibly chocolatey and rich. I wanted something more fruit-forward, so I was happy with my pitaya bowl. I really would love to try the mango bowls. I look forward to coming back again to try some of the other flavors as this could potentially boost the rating. The other factor that could help me determine if I want to boost my rating is learning more about whether their bases have creams, fruit juices, or sweeteners (of which I'm unaware at this time). Regardless, I feel that is a good addition to the area and we enjoyed our experience!

Pur Bowls is a new-ish acai bowl spot that shares a space with Nguyen's Kitchen. Pur Bowls is to the right while Nguyen's Kitchen is straight after the enterance. Came here on a Saturday afternoon for a cold treat. It wasn't busy and we were greeted by a staff member upon entering. The space is small, with 4 or 5 tables and 2 smaller tables at the entrance on the Pur Bowl side. I got a 12 oz bowl and built it myself instead of choosing one of the set bowls. For this size, only 2 bases can be chosen. I got the Coco-Lina and Pur Berry bases, Matcha Chia Pudding, Cocoa Granola, Bananas, Strawberries, Blueberries, Pineapples, Almond Butter, Dates, Dried Cranberries, Bee Pollen, and Matcha Powder. The bases can be sampled before ordering which is nice. The ingredients seem fresh. Overall, giving Pur Bowls a 4/5. Service is good and staff are nice. It would be nice to be able to order more than two bases for the 12 oz bowl. Topping variety is solid although maybe less variety than other acai bowl spots. Would recommend to others looking for an acai bowl spot in this area.

Tried the Mango Chamoy Bowl it did not disappoint! It was packed with flavor. I topped mine with pineapple, more mango, and blueberries, and it was delicious and super refreshing. Friendly and efficient! I was greeted right away, and my order was ready quickly. The staff were helpful and welcoming. Bright, clean, and inviting. The location is great too easy to find, with a great spot that makes it perfect for grabbing a quick bite or hanging out for a bit.

I've had pur bowl before, and quality has always been consistent. I didn't know what I was expecting from the mango chamoy bowl, but I would not recommend it. All of their other bowls are solid though! I would just say that the mango chamoy is not for me especially with the toppings that I had added did not go well with mango chamoy.

Review #869 2025-041 Food Order: Large Customized Superfood Bowl (bases:, coco-lina, pur berry; toppings: classic granola, pineapple, strawberry, blueberry, almond butter, toasted coconut flakes, toasted almonds, seeds (flax, hemp, chia), goji berries, bee pollen, agave syrup) $15 Bowl Specialist: Aaliyah Service/Vibe: friendly & helpful; opens late (until 1:00 AM) like its sister in Carson Restroom: unisex restroom in the back on the left. Pur Bowls is on a grown spurt... there's 1 more than its co-share partner Nguyen's Kitchen in just a few years. I was introduced to Pur Bowls a couple of years ago at the Carson location for a YEE at Pur Bowls first (02/2023), then repeatedly returning because my son loves the ladies that makes his yummy bowls; refer to Review #s: 723, 729. Read more on its sister Nguyen's Kitchen; refer to Review #s: 757, 867. We were here, specifically Nguyen's Kitchen (Review #867), & wanted something cool on a hot summer day... what better way than a refreshing, healthy bowl at Pur Bowls! M kept checking with me on how to create the bowl. Uhhh... it's exactly the same except we're on Long Beach. LOL The same cashier was also our bowl specialist -- friendly & helpful; he whispered that Aaliyah made our bowl as pretty as May. He customized our superfood bowl with his favorite bases: coco-lina & pur berry, & followed with the usual toppings without the vanilla chia pudding, which would only make the bowl better. Pur Berry base is a blend of strawberry, raspberry, blackberry, & blueberry; Coco-Lina base is a blend coconut, pineapple, mango, spirulina. You can't taste/make out each berry but the berries flavor marriage is yummy. Coco-Lina flavor profile is different than what we remembered; it's ok but doesn't taste as great as before because it was our favorite base & always ordered it. Formula change? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ The fruits were fresh, sweet, & juicy, especially the pineapple! With the base & topping options, you can create hundreds of different combinations/flavor profiles... imagine the possibilities. ヽ(ヅ)ノ Each & every customized bowl has been "pure" deliciousness!! Fresh, flavorful fruits combined with superfood toppings, it's the kind of treat that tastes great, & you can eat over & over again without the guilt. Our pur love has been slightly downgraded with the formula change & loyalty program. I was going almost every week to the Carson location until their Cash App loyalty program kept expiring & miscalculating my earned points (of which I have 200 points between 02/2023 - 09/2023) that could be redeemed for a medium freebie bowl & the cashier took my number down for management to reach out & resolve this, which never came to fruition. This location also uses the Cash App loyalty program, which I'm weary about its tracking capabilities & accuracy, & random expiration (to entice frequent visits to earn a reward?). \(*o*)/ According to Cash App, each location is considered a separate entity so your loyalty to Pur Bowls is location-based, not business. You earn 1 point/dollar. There are 3 rewards: 150 points = 1 free small bowl; 180 points = 1 free regular bowl; 225 points = 1 free large bowl (it's approximately 6.67% for a free bowl). Prices are on par with other açaí bowl shops, except Pur Bowls is more generous with their portions. Menu Info: Sizes (3): small (12 oz.): $10, medium (16 oz.): $12, large (24 oz.): $15 Pur Bowls (8): Amazon, Cacao, Dragon, Green Goddess, Island, Mango Chamoy, Tropical, Very Berry; or build your own Superfood Bowl BYOB Info: Base Options (8): açaí, matcha, pitaya, pur berry (strawberry, raspberry, blackberry, blueberry), mango, coconut, coco-lins (coconut, pineapple, mango, spirulina), cacao Topping Options (34): * chia pudding (4): vanilla, matcha, cocoa, turmeric cinnamon * granola (2): classic, cocoa * fruits (6): banana, pineapple, mango, strawberry, blueberry, apple * nut butter (3): peanut, almond, cashew * coconut shreds (3): sweet, toasted, raw * superfoods (16): toasted almonds, cacao nibs; seeds (4): flax, pumpkin, hemp, chia; goji berries; dried cranberries; dates; pink salt; bee pollen; powders (3): cacao, matcha, cinnamon; agave syrup This location is smaller than its Carson sister. I think there's 5 or 6 tables in the dining room with a couple of small tables in the patio/walkway. There's 1 unisex restroom at the back, left of the Nguyen's Kitchen's order counter. There's no parking in front, & the NW parking lot is mostly filled with Trader Joe's shoppers. We managed to find a spot on this strip of space facing Stearns St. I like Pur Bowls enough, but wouldn't go out of my way to the closer Carson location. The loyalty program is uninspiring & disheartening (to me), but if I'm in the neighborhood of any location, I would definitely drop-in.

I absolutely love açaí bowls! I didn't even know this hidden little gem existed. The staff was very friendly and welcoming upon entering. I ordered a dragonfruit açaí bowl and my bf got the matcha bowl. I love that you can add as many additional toppings as you'd like without it being an extra charge! Both bowls were very delicious and filling! The only thing I would recommend is for the operation hours to be listed on the front door or window. Overall, I will definitely be back and if you haven't been here, you're missing out!

Really good! Super clean inside and lots of toppings for your bowls. Customer service EXCELLENT!! Aaliyah was so nice and patient explaining to me all of the different options and she did an awesome job. We will definitely be back. I got a size medium which i think is $13 and its worth it.

Great service but not sure if they're just getting stingy but the last few times I've come here, i feel like I'm getting less and less each time.

Nonna has become our go to bakery, our sweet retreat, and one of our favorite local brunch spots. Now, they even have happy hour and, during the summer, dinner (Nonna Summer Nights)! And all of the food is amazing. Seriously, truly legit! We buy bread from there each week. No more "big box store" bread you freeze. They make their bread fresh daily. They only use fresh, locally sourced ingredients with no preservatives. It's nice to look at an ingredient list and not see a paragraph for bread (and be able to pronounce all the names!). And their cupcakes and sweets. Yo, seriously so good. And the thing is, because of the ingredients they use, we don't feel heavy or overly wired after eating cake or cupcakes from them. From other places you can tell they use preservatives, refined sugars, processed ingredients. But with Nonna, you can just taste the difference. We even had them make our special cake for our wedding! We recently tried their dinner (twice!) and it exceeded expectations. Now, mind you, all of their food has always been good but our experience was amazing. Their prix fixe menu was well put together, wine pairings on point, dessert was also delicious. Our favorite was the tiramisu! Also loved the spaghattini and casarecce pastas, and entrecôte di manzo, but everything was great. Their brunch is also great, you really can't go wrong on the menu. And I think we've gone through almost all of it! Finally, (if you've stayed with me this long!) the absolute best thing about Nonna for us is the TEAM. Hands down no question. We came around noon on Saturday, and thankfully despite their busy brunch rush we were seated immediately. Even though all of their seating is outdoors, tables are shaded by overhanging canopy and just added to the cute southern Italian bistro vibes of the place. The menu had a solid selection of both brunch and lunch items - I loved the Burrata di Campagna, which was flavorful with just the right amount of tart from the heirloom tomatoes. For my main meal I had to go with the Casarecce - one of their pastas that's made fresh in house daily. The braided pasta was wonderfully textured and soaked up all the pesto sauce without being overly oily, a perfect meal for a hot summer day. We finished our meal with a Nutella Croissant, from their artisan bakery that also makes their bread fresh every day. Perhaps I am a little biased, but the laminated dough was perfectly light and flaky, encasing a very generous filling of hazelnut chocolate cream. Our check at the end of the meal even came with a custom drawn postcard by one of the Nonna Mercato service staff - another present to add on to what was already a gift of a meal!

Each one is packed with flavor, making you wish you had ordered a dozen instead of just one or two. Given their size, I'd recommend two donuts per person. With plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, it's also a great spot to work remotely or catch up on emails. Also make sure to check out their cute merch items when you're waiting on your order!

I will say after having them on two prior occasions, they made an impression on me when they participated in the yearly Belmont Shore chocolate festival. They offered a freshly chocolate glazed donut. It was so delicious having it fresh as opposed to letting it sit and have later. Thanks for the memories! I won't forget you, Holey Grail!
