Decided to get a smoothie after Pilates and saw this place pop up on Yelp. This place has so many options!! I used to go to Jamba Juice frequently and loved getting their orange dream machine. When I saw that this place had an orange pineapple smoothie that was made with orange sherbet, I knew I had to get it. It was exactly what I wanted and so refreshing. I came here twice. The first time I was very impressed. There were two younger asians making drinks. The peanut butter smoothie tasted great and I bragged to friends about how good it taste. I even decided to return the following week because I kept thinking about it. The second time, a different person (older asian lady) made the drink and it tasted more bland. To make matters worse, she was scooping the peanut butter from a large white bucket on the floor. This seemed unappealing and unsanitary, and made me question why I still drank the smooth. Ordered bowl and a juice . Bowl 2.4 or 3 out of 5 it was super basic and the blueberries seemed frozen and old. Maybe they don't sell enough bowls to have fresh ? Idk Juice was fine you can't really mess that up. Idk if I would come here again. It's one of those spots that sells a lot of stuff not simply a juice/açaí place . They sell like sugary drinks for teenagers and kids (likely due to being next to a high school) and sometimes these places miss the mark for me as it did here. Been going to juice city since they opened back in the days. I remember getting strawberry banana smoothies with boba back then when boba just started. I'm giving it a 3 star because I ordered online and when I got there no one knew I had an order. Thankfully I went in because I was going to wait till I received a msg saying my order was done (or in this case I wouldn't have gotten one). I came in to the employees chatting then I asked if my order was ready and no one knew about it. They even confirmed with me if I ordered at JUICE CITY. I said yes... and then she said "what time was your order?" I said I think 5:05pm. They couldn't find it. I told her if it's a way she can make it? She said "oh yes we will." Two Stars for the smoothies- there are waaaay better flavored options available. I took my little one and she did not like the smoothie - she literally took 2 small sips and did not like it. I asked if it could be remade and she said sure but we would have to repurchase a new one. My husband came in as well to try and get the manager to understand customer satisfaction. The young manager was rude and on a power trip. She said she had been the manager for years and the owner had never in the history had a drink remade free of charge and she was matter of fact on it. She started going through product usage and money loss like we didn't understand basic economics. Sometimes you bite the bullet to try and satisfy a customer and hopefully gain a customer for life but clearly that went over her head. You would think the money was coming directly from the manager's check because it struck a chord. The manager called the owner and the owner okayed her to remake the drink without us being charged, thanks to the owner for having some decency on that. Won't be back- manager way too intense and taking job way overboard for no good reason. read more

I was quite surprised to see the extra fee for the credit card which I wish they informed me and maybe I would have opted to use cash instead. My favorite food item to order here is the Protein Bowls! I'm usually very picky when it comes to protein bowls and I've tried MANY before finding this hidden gem of a place next to my pilates studio. Most places I found I usually have to deal with the bowls not being blended properly with ice chunks in it (puts me in a sour mood already), not having enough protein, not being creamy enough, etc. However, the protein bowls here have been hitting the checkmark for everything I look for and I look forward to having it once a week now especially after I finish working out and to support my fitness goals. My favorite is the Almond Butter Bananan Protein Bowl! The owner is also very nice and she knows my face pretty well at this point with how many times I come in, and she is also listening to the feedback of her customers daily and wondering how she can improve! The overall place is quaint and lively with only a few seats on the inside and a table or 2 outside, but usually people take their drinks/bowls to-go since it's just easier. That's easy with the convenient ingredient lists on the menu board. My usual order used to be the B&B Yogurt (RIP, I've never been able to find another yogurt-only smoothie elsewhere! ), but currently taking the chance to try something new every visit. With a huge selection from smoothies to juice, every visit is an adventure for me. This business seems to have been around for a WHILE, and I hope that stays for many years to come! I wasn't too impressed with this place on my first few tries, but I kept coming back because it's conveniently located to where I live and the price is reasonable. Over time it kind of grew on me and now I actually like it. I've only tried the fresh fruit juices here but thought the ingredients were somewhat limited compared to other places. As I discovered more items on the menu, I learned to combine some items to make my own concoction. I normally get the apple-orange or the carrot-orange combo, but I recently found out this place has ginger shot, which is a combination of pure ginger juice, lemon juice, and cayenne pepper. I decided to add that to my normal juice combination to get that extra kick. Ginger shot is not listed on the menu board but it's on the paper menu, which is why I just found out about it. What other places charge for a 16 oz. juice, I pay about the same here but in a 24 oz. size. This place has now become a routine stop on my way to work in the morning.
