Didn't get to try the boba but highly recommend as an activity! It is surprisingly cheap. Small figurines are about $7 and bigger ones are maybe $20 max. A variety of anime figures, animals, and cartoon/disney characters. Flat $3 for materials. There's no limit to studio time or paint that you can use. You do have to come back the next day to get your items. They're sprayed not fired so they are not food safe. read more

I brought my niece to MICHA Boba in Garden Grove for her birthday, and she had an incredible time. She was genuinely shocked by how fun and different the experience was, which made it even more special. This is one of those places I'd recommend for a family day, a kid-friendly celebration, a creative date, or even a solo outing just to stretch your creativity. The staff was welcoming, patient, and really accommodating from start to finish. You can tell they care about creating a space that feels friendly and community driven. The painting itself is relaxing, but bring your patience. Pieces take time, especially if you want it to come out right. Also wear clothes you're not afraid to get a little messy. I'd definitely recommend bringing a little extra cash or change for photos because the moment's worth capturing. There was one drink I wasn't a fan of, but taste is personal so I'd still say try it for yourself. Overall, top notch experience and this is a place I actually recommend If this review was helpful, tap helpful. I pride myself on giving honest reviews and recommending places that are really worth checking out. read more

After our painting session at another Micha location, we stopped by this Stanton location because the boba at the painting studio had already sold out. The kids enjoyed their drinks while playing games, which was a fun way to end the day. I also tried the Ube Taro Wave Mochi, but it was a little too rich and creamy for my taste, so I probably wouldn't order it again. Overall, the drinks were just okay for our family's taste, but the staff was friendly, and we're glad we could still grab boba after painting. It was a nice stop to wrap up the day. read more

Stopped by this shop as been seeing posts on there the craft activity at a boba shop and it did not disappoint. The taro wave mochi drink was delish. Will def come back to try other flavors and maybe pick something to paint. A fun activity to do with a group of friends on a hot day! read more

The boba is good and I love that we can paint different characters. The staff are nice.

I can come back here every single day and just spend all my money. Not only is it a fun concept where you get to pick your clay object and paint it but the drinks here are solid 10/10!! I would just come back here for the drinks if I were in the area. some of the objects are only $15 that includes unlimited paint. You can pick up the same day and if it is not too busy, it'll take maybe an hour or so. It looks so nice after they glaze it and I'm happy with how my little plant pots turned out! Great date night idea or to keep your kids entertained during summer. They have another location in Garden Grove! read more

The drinks were yummy! Wide selection of figures to paint. They provide everything for you, from brushes, aprons, and paint. I also love that they seal the figures for you so you can bring it home at the end of the session rather than waiting for weeks to pick it up. read more

Came on a Friday night and it wasn't busy. The vibes inside are messy there is paint splatter decor everywhere since they have a paint and sip option. My first time here a worker never came to help so i just used the kiosk to order. I got a Mango yoyo blended drink with boba. It was kind of expensive compared to other boba shops. The drink took a while to come out but I understand why there was fresh mango puree inside and it was so delicious. Perfect amount of sweetness and there was a little bear topper so cute. I'll definitely be back! read more

You've got drinks, you've got snacks & you got cute things to paint - what more can you ask for?! Came here with my family for a little activity day out and we had so much fun. There was 1 girl working and poor girl was running around doing everything by herself. We got a few drinks, a few snacks & started our painting. Can't wait to visit their new location in Garden Grove, i heard its way bigger & more options! read more

Micha Boba & Painting is such a fun and unique spot that combines creativity, great drinks, and a beautiful atmosphere all in one place! The space is thoughtfully designed with plenty of aesthetic corners that are perfect for photos. From the décor to the painting setup, everything feels trendy, colorful, and incredibly Instagram-worthy. I especially loved the photobooth, which made the experience even more memorable and gave us some fun keepsakes from our visit. The painting experience itself was so enjoyable. They offer high-quality paints and beautiful figurines to paint, making it a perfect activity whether you're coming with friends, family, or on a date. It's a great place to relax, be creative, and express yourself. On top of that, they also have a great selection of drinks, milk teas, and desserts to enjoy while painting. Everything we tried was delicious and made the experience even better. If you're a Gen Z looking for a cute hangout spot with lots of photo opportunities, creative activities, tasty drinks, and a fun vibe, Micha Boba & Painting is definitely worth checking out. It's the perfect place to create memories, take aesthetic photos, and enjoy a unique experience that's different from your typical boba shop. read more

We always have fun at this place. It ia cool spot to hang out, enjoy a yummy drink, and do some painting. It can get pretty busy at times, and there have been a couple of occasions with large orders where something was missed. That said, they have always corrected it and honored what was needed, which I really appreciate. Just a heads up that it does get busy, so I would recommend calling ahead or reserving a spot if you are planning to come with a large group for painting. read more

My sister hosted a get together here. This part boba shop / part ceramic painting studio is a great concept. We got to choose our sculpture and all paint supplies are provided. We reserved a table and it was a good idea. The place was busy for the whole time we were there. The boba drinks took a while to make. The taiyaki was on the burnt side but I actually like burnt so that's fine with me. Once done painting, the sculptures get a lacquer spray and sit for another 15 minutes. Sculptures are individually priced and quite reasonably. Good concept! Please come and create your own adventure. read more

Decided to try this spot after a friend and I wanted to do something like Color Me Mine. My friend said that she'd been meaning to try out this spot as it seemed to be more affordable, too! Parking was in the plaza and not too difficult to find (on a weekday afternoon) but I would imagine it could be a bit more difficult on a weekend. Speaking from our experience, when we got to the shop, we ordered our drinks and then decided to pick the item that we wanted to paint. I got the white grape oolong tea and friend got the smashed berry tea. Both teas were okay and I would rate them both 6/10 though will say they both tasted refreshing. Staff was friendly and helpful. We were more engrossed in our figurine painting if anything. Prices were fair and ranged from I think $10-30. After painting, we just let the employees know we were done and then they'd take it to the front and spray a gloss on it and wait for a few minutes to set. Due to our perfectionist tendencies, we spent about 3 hours here HAHA. For a catch up friend date, I'd say it was fun and worth it for what we paid! read more

Micha Boba Tea Bat is not just your average boba spot. It's an experience where you can sip on your favorite drink while painting your own creation. Whether you're bringing the kids for a creative afternoon or planning something a little different with your partner, it's such a fun, laid back activity. Pick your boba (classic milk tea, fruity refreshers, or something fun and colorful), grab a ceramic, and let your creativity flow. I love activities that let us slow down, connect, and make memories -- and this is one of those experiences that feels both relaxing and special. Perfect for a weekend outing, after-school treat, or spontaneous date night. Definitely add this to your OC must do list! read more

Micha is located in a plaza that is not too busy, we came on a Saturday afternoon around 3:30pm and there was plenty of parking. I called to schedule a reservation about 1 week before and the kind gentleman on the phone sent a text to me with the reservation link. Super easy to make a reservation and no fee attached. I saw on the page that you can try to reserve sculptures by sending them a message on IG, which is nice and I did reserve two different ones. When we arrived however unfortunately they did not have one of them available but there were still a lot of cute choices ranging in size and composition (plastic vs. cement-like). They have an ordering kiosk and you can also order your drinks or snacks at the counter when paying for your sculptures. They have a beautiful range of paints that were plentiful and a nice holder with enough spots for multiple colors or mixing if needed. You get paintbrushes (two sizes) and a water cup for the activity. We never felt rushed and they gloss your sculpture at the end if you ask! We ordered the strawberry mochi , oolong MT and the sunshine frostee. All drinks were pretty solid and personally I really liked my sunshine frostee, it was refreshing and the water chestnut popping boba was unique but also satisfying! It gave the whole drink a nice small crunch. If we weren't eating afterwards I would have ordered some taiyaki, they have pretty unique flavors like pizza. Overall I think Micha is a solid boba spot (a lot of people came just to get to-go drinks) but it has a unique aspect of adding the painting opportunity, I think they do a great job supplying a variety of sculptures to please a wide audience and makes good use of the small space they have. If you're not interested in painting but want to hangout they have a bunch of board games as well. The staff all are hard workers, helping to service the kitchen but also the painting arena, the staff was really great but I can understand that it can be difficult to tend to both areas at the same time, please be patient with them! Painting tip: if you need your sculpture to dry faster before glossing you can place it outside under the sun--it's quick! Thank you Micha and staff for a wonderful, creative experience for my family! So much fun! read more

this cute little boba sip and paint shop was the perfect thing to do while family was in town It says to go onto their instagram to reserve what piece you want to paint (to make sure it's in stock and what they have available that week) and to reserve your spot. (It takes around 1 and a half - 2 hours for the painting depending on what size piece) Instead, I was in the area and decided to just run in and do it all in person. (See if it looked as cool as the photos) First off! Not going to lie, the parking lot is a little sketchy. There's even a sketchy looking strip club in the parking lot. (NO judgement) They do have up close parking which is great I ran In and talked to Marilyn. She was absolutely so sweet!! And helpful. We picked out a couple pieces and reserved our time. It was a Sunday around 4 PM when we came in to book everything and it was PACKED. Every single table was taken. It honestly made me a little nervous walking around in here while everyone has paint on their table They also have board games that you can play as well. We came in the next day which was a Monday at our reserved time slot. We had 3 hello kitty characters that were the large sized piggy banks. They were around 25-29 dollars each. I believe I saw a sign though saying they were 15 percent off the large ones. The paint is also included In the price and you can keep getting up to get more. I loved the color of the paints. It was really vibrant pretty colors. Also, they recommend 3 layers. they also provide plastic cover / plastic aprons for your clothes. It doesn't cover too much. So keep that in mind I've done pottery painting and etc before and you don't get to take it home the same day. But here you get to take it all home the same day. Which was really important since my family were only in town for a few days for my surgery (Next time I'll definitely do one of the jewelry trays) The whole experience was really fun. I'd honestly come back a few times with other girlfriends because each experience is different. They have so many things to pick from. It's a really cool idea too. Some of the chairs and tables were small and uncomfortable. I hope they expand to a bigger place. The place inside honestly didn't smell like paint or chemicals BUT when you first walk up to the building it does smell like strong chemicals (they take your finished piece outside to spray it before you take it home) But, again, I did not smell this inside. If you're sensitive to smells or worried about your kids you can always bring masks It took forever for ours to dry. Marilyn took our pieces outside to help it dry faster. Again, they spray it with a finishing spray. We put them in the car and it did smell like strong chemicals. That's the only downside. But what do you expect. No complaints on our side, just be aware if you have asthma or sensitive to that. It was so fun and they turned out great. When you first walk in they do have photos on what the pieces SHOULD look like. Which is helpful, or you can just wing it P.S they are open pretty late which is really convenient. 10/10 perfect for adults and kids So come and support this locally owned place. read more

Extremely well priced figurines to be painted and boba drinks!! The piggy banks we got were $25-29 and the smaller ceramic figurines were in the $10s. There's a good variety of paint colors to choose from, and i liked how the final color of the piece was similar to the color of the paint (unlike other places that fire the pieces and the color changes). The strawberry mochi and Ube mochi drinks were also delicious and so creamy. Would definitely return again to paint some of the smaller figurines and for the mochi drinks! read more

Super upbeat and casual environment. First time coming here while on my visit. This cute little shop has a good selection of drinks that you can order through their self ordering system. Super easy to use and quick. Our drinks came out pretty quickly. I usually order milk tea but wanted something fruity and refreshing. I got the Lady Rose signature fruit tea and it was very good. Just what I needed after having a heavy dinner. The service was quick and friendly. They also have a stand of ceramic pieces you can purchase and paint. So many different cute designs. Made a reservation on their website last month to come in today at 12pm to have some boba and paint some cute figures. Came at 11:50 and it was dark, waited until 12:05 and called to no answer. My friend and I left for another coffee spot and came back at 12:25 and it was still closed and not a single employee inside. Their hours of operation state 12pm to 10pm but wasn't even open by 12:30pm. I don't understand why they have reservations to book if they aren't going to be open or have a sign indicating changes in hours. Pretty disappointing to drive out there from the South Bay. Would still try and come back to paint and have a good time but until then, my review will be what it is. read more

I did not like: Oolong Tea Hong Kong Milk Tea This was awful: Roseberry Matcha Mochi Micha Boba Tea Bar in Stanton looks cute on the surface. They have a paint and sip event going on, plus some board games you can play while you wait. Unfortunately, the drinks (and the service) don't live up to the vibe at all. It took an unusually long time to get my order, and when it finally came out, it was just disappointing across the board. The Oolong Tea was way too sweet, almost like they dumped an entire bag of sugar into it. The Hong Kong Milk Tea was a little better, but still overly sweet with boba that was hard and chewy in the worst way. The Roseberry Matcha Mochi? Complete mess. The drink didn't mix well, the mochi bits kept clogging the straw, the strawberry was way too sweet, and the matcha tasted plain and flat. I couldn't taste any rose at all, which made the whole thing feel like false advertising. I was willing to overlook the mediocre drinks, but the final straw was the cheap, flimsy cardboard drink holder they gave me. Just holding it normally caused it to break apart. My drinks hit the ground, the plastic cups shattered, and everything spilled everywhere. At that point, it was clear this place doesn't just cut corners with their drinks -- they cut corners on literally everything. Save your time, your money, and your patience. There are way better boba spots nearby. read more

Was looking for a fun & different activity for Spring Break week. Set up a reservation for a Monday morning & it was pretty busy. You pick your object and then pay. Staff sets you up with painting supplies. Our drinks took 40 minutes to come out which was fine. We were painting for 90 mins. We got coffee & Hong Kong milk tea ($12+). Our 2 objects were $63 altogether. They were supposed to be $25 each but I guess there's a painting fee? We had a good time trying out something different. My bf and I were finishing up date night and wanted to get some boba in OC before heading home to LB. We stopped by Micha cuz it was on the way, and was surprised by the atmosphere! First, it was very busy which is good. The main activity (besides sipping boba) is painting ceramic figures. I did not know about this prior, but it seems so fun! We want to come back just for that. The coco blue Matcha (with boba) that I got was delicious. I ordered the drink itself with 75% sugar which was perfect, because the coconut cream added just a hint of sweetness that tied it all together. My bf got the milk Thai tea which he finished in 5 minutes seconds and said it was really tasty. He even tried my matcha which he normally dislikes and said it was good, which is rare. The service was quick and efficient, the staff was friendly. I recommend stopping by Micha for a drink and cute activity if you are in the area! read more

I LOVE Micha. The drinks are a solid 4 - we've tried various drinks and you can customize sweetness without effecting flavor concentration. They have a few boardgames to play with your friends, some tayaki to snack on, but most importantly - decently priced figures you can paint. Such a fun activity to do with friends! These are made of plastic, not porcelain like color me mine hence the lower price point. They also spray a coating which takes about 20 minutes to "cure" after you're done painting. One guy was manning the whole shop so he was a little backed up but we were in no rush, friendly and helpful! Plenty of parking. Would not recommend for large parties. read more

What I Ordered: Roseberry Matcha Mochi ($7.05) Corn Cheese Croissant Taiyaki (3 for $10.99) Medium Sized Piggy Bank Food: I LOVED my Roseberry Matcha Mochi drink! I like flowery flavored drinks but sometimes they lack the sweet and tart flavor that I miss and this was the perfect solution. They use their housemade rose and strawberry puree, which goes well with their high quality matcha. The drink also comes with mochi bits inside the drink that adds a chewy texture to the drink similar to boba. I would come back even if it's just for the drink. The Corn Cheese Croissant Taiyaki was delicious as well. I liked that it wasn't just a taiyaki but a CROISSANT taiyaki, which adds a level of crispyness to each bite! Service: All of the staff were very friendly and are more than willing to help if you're having trouble with the paint activity. They also have board games and card games available for use by customers if you don't want to paint! A cool boba shop with unique activities while you sip on your drink? Count me in! Micha has a variety of drinks to choose from and they also sell freshly made taiyaki if you want something to munch on with your drink. Do you like boba? How about painting? If you like both, then Micha Boba Tea Bar is a spot you should consider visiting! Before heading over, make sure to reach out to their Instagram account in advance to reserve a figurine from their available collection. For check-in, just let the staff know you arrived to pick up your figurine and get a walkthrough of the instructions. The staff reserved one of the table and provided us brushes and water. For paint, many color options were available at the self-service paint station. My friend and I arrived around 6:45 pm on a Saturday and found it was busy. It was a small store that could get loud at times if kids are there. However, as soon as my friend and I started, we were pretty focused on painting. It took us roughly 2 hours to 2 hours and 30 minutes to finish our figures. However, there was no time limit from the staff. Please note you'll need to wait for the paint to dry a bit before heading it to the staff to apply a spray. The spray would need about 15 minutes to dry. During our visit, my friend and I also got a drink and a Taiyaki as well. Both were decent! As someone that is bad at painting, I still very much enjoyed the activity. read more

Came for the drinks and painting (group of 6), and wow, I wish I had tried their creamy drinks sooner! DRINKS: I loved the Matcha Roseberry at full sweetness: a lovely strawberry matcha with a touch of dried rose petals--very subtle on the rose, which I liked. Recommend it with soy milk if you dont have lactaid. The Triple M contains mango and mochi (maybe the third M is for milk?)-- this drink may have existed before 3cattea's mango mochi, but it is very similar and closer to me :). I got it at 75%ish sweet, and it was perfect. The Earth Origins seasonal drink was also delightful, with creamy matcha/coconut foam/avocado--a beautiful and unique softly blended drink. I came a year ago also for the mangorange drink, and I felt it was a little bitter on the green tea at 75%, so would try it full sweetness. My friends who got this one this trip seemed to like it. PAINTING: To set it up, you need to DM them on instagram. You choose which figures you want ahead of time and ask for a time to make a reservation. Medium figures were $24, and small were maybe $16 but I forget. There is a 25% off one item with a $14 purchase. It is pretty reasonable, though note that these are not ceramic. They had a table reserved/ set up for us. My item took a couple hours to paint leisurely, but my 5 friends took about 4 hours because they got the more-detailed Kuromis/Batman/Ultraman. After you are done, they spray the figures to keep the paint on, and it takes about $15+ minutes to dry, so I just came back the next day to pick up. Shop had one other large group of 6-8, a small group of 3, and still some counter seating. My only complaint was that the shop smelled a little weird, perhaps like B.O.? It improved greatly when they opened the door, so maybe it was just due to the business that day. Customer service was great! Since they estimated a little shorter time for drying, they gave us a drink voucher to return. They are not the fastest for the drink making when busy, but the line was never longer than 5 people on an AutunmSat from 2 to 6ish. Will definitely come back, and recommend for a fun group or couples activity! read more
