Island Bodega is such a cute spot! We ordered the strawberry smoothie and it was 8/10. The space is super cute and has a really relaxed vibe, so you could definitely come by, grab something, and hang out for a while. They also have açaí bowls that looked really good, although we didn't get a chance to try them this time. The workers were also really nice and welcoming. Definitely a spot we'd come back to!
We came in during a hot day, and we got 3 different bowls. We got a Sunshine bowl and two "build your owns". The build your owns were so cool because I got to choose all the flavors I wanted to. My wife chose the Sunshine bowl and she enjoyed all the flavors it had. My niece did a simpler build your own which was great as well. One of the employees helped us through the build your own portion, and answered questions we had. We appreciated it because it was our first time here! The one downside is the fact that the high chairs are uneven, so my niece almost fell over. Apart from that, the tables and chairs are clean. There's also great taste in music.
I always forget about this place but it's really good and always busy. I like to customize my bowls, but they have a lot of menu items that your can simply choose off off. I like that they offer various base options beyond açaí. Overall very solid spot and love that it's close to me!

I was craving a healthy breakfast, so my husband decided to get acai from here. We ordered via third party app. The app was very easy to place an order. It's just like ordering at the actual place. I ordered a custom & coffee. First you choose the size of your bowl, then your latte, iced or cold, and milk selection for your drink. Then you get to customizing your acai bowl. First you choose your base, then granolas, chia seed pudding, fruits, toppings, nut butters/ sweeteners, and lastly powders. Then you get to the section if you want to order/ add extras. Thry also have pre-made bowls. It shows what's in the bowl and if you want to omit or add anything. My husband got the island bowl. I would definitely try this place out again. We were very happy and satisfied.
Literally my favorite place to get acai bowls. Been coming here for years and tried other places and this is my top favorite. I just wish they would switch the boards to "signatures", "start here", to "next step." I've been coming here since it opened and still get confused. Other wise, its great!

They have a wide selection of bowls with so many ingredients to chose from. They have 3 friendly workers asking what ingredients you want, each at a different station of items, like base, fruits and dry toppings. Anything can be customized around the bowl you chose from their menu or make one of your own. The ambiance is totally chill but with only 3 tables be ready to take it to go if there's no room. They do have a lot of free standing chairs to hang around in as well. Glad I was able to satisfy my sweet tooth tonight with a healthy option. I'll be back!
One of my favorite acai spots in Long Beach! The bowls are always fresh, delicious, and satisfying. Some of my fav topics are pumpkin seeds and almond slices for a healthy crunch (skip or go light on granola). I love kiwis and not very many acai shops offer it. The staff is consistently friendly and welcoming. Definitely a go-to whenever I'm craving a good acai.
Driven by this place 100s of times and kept wanting to come by to give it a try....well today was the perfect time to finally drop by after going to Aldi.... The staff were nice and friendly the place is clean and relaxing...but I got mine to go.... I got the Island Bowl with a few modifications....and as mentioned to go.... I felt like it was pretty fresh and really good actually. I'll have to drop by again another day to get one!
Stopped by Island Bodega and grabbed two açaí bowls and wow... didn't expect to be this impressed. Both bowls were super fresh, perfectly chilled, and not overly sweet like some places that just load it with syrup. You can actually taste the real açaí, which I appreciated. The fruit toppings were bright, ripe, and generous (not skimpy at all), and the granola had that perfect crunch without being rock hard. One bowl leaned more classic and refreshing, the other had a slightly richer, dessert vibe--both hit in their own way. Also, the presentation was clean and pretty (yes, it matters), and everything tasted like it was made with care, not rushed. You can tell they're consistent with quality.
I really appreciated that this spot was open late at night!!! It's bright, clean, and everything tasted fresh despite it being the end of the day. I also got some free merch (I think it was after checking in on Yelp, but not sure if that promo is still going on).
Island Bodega is still my go-to açaí bowl spot! I'm still hooked! The service is so attentive and welcoming and I love the upgrades to their seating/tables...it's so aesthetic!

Island Bodega is hands down one of my favorite acai spots. I got the small build-your-own for $11, which is honestly such a great deal for unlimited bases and toppings. You get so much flexibility, and I love how customizable everything is. The bases are always the perfect texture and never icy. Everything just tastes super fresh and it's consistently good every time I go. Definitely my go-to when I'm craving acai and in the area! read more

The toppings were generous, and I loved the perfect balance of textures and flavors in every bite. Solid option to satisfy your acai craving. Create your own bowl (pick a size, layer it, and then top it!) or pick from one of their signature recommendations. Decided to create my own bowl and it was delicious! What's in my order? Medium bowl (16oz) with half acai/half matcha base topped with honey almond granola, strawberries, blueberries, bananas, and toasted coconut drizzled with honey. So good! Ordering online was super easy and my order was ready a little before the designated time. read more

This is the first place I have ever had an Açaí bowl and I am ADDICTED! The staff is so friendly and helpful and takes time to help make decisions. I am allergic to nuts and they made sure to inform me (as well as a sign at the beginning) they have an area that is nut free to gather my items for my bowl. The seating is limited, but is a nice place to enjoy your bowl. Highly recommend checking this place out, we have gone two days in a row and now weekends in a row! read more

The bowls are delicious but customer service needs improvement. The tall Asian guy is always in a bad mood and makes customers feel uncomfortable. We have gone 1 hour before closing and he gets upset and visibly annoyed. I understand if I go 30 minutes before closing time, but 1 hour before closing is fair enough to get good customer service. He has attitude during the day, too. I have been placing pickup to not deal with this nonsense. read more
I can't believe I haven't written a review for this spot yet! This is one of my favorite local acai spots. The quality and freshness of the ingredients really stand out, and I've always enjoyed every bowl I've gotten from here. My favorite bases are acai, blue island, and coconut cream. I also really enjoy their coffee drinks, like the island bodega latte. Overall, you can't go wrong with anything from here. Service is always friendly! There's ample seating inside, and I've never had any issues with parking. read more

Great açaí bowls! I got the acai base although there are a lot of other good choices too. I got the medium since I feel like the small wasn't big enough. Overall I'd come back! The service was fine too, and it's a great vibe to sit and eat your bowl or take it to go. read more

came on a weekend and it was fairly empty. service was quick and friendly. the acai bowls are a bit pricey but it's definitely worth it. the texture is flavorful and creamy. one of the best acai spots ive had. it has nice decor and inside seating. it's in a large plaza with other food spots but parking is usually no problem. definitely coming back! read more

If you're in the mood for something lightly sweetened and packed with antioxidant fruits, you have to try the ACAI bowl. I absolutely LOVE the chia seeds pudding they add on! As a big fan of coffee and tea, I sometimes take little breaks to refresh and detox. I can't get enough of the signature Island bowl--it's simply delightful. The coconut matcha bowl was alright, but I found it a bit on the bland side. I really love both coconut and matcha; I just don't think they fit my acai bowl preference! This adorable spot is tucked right next to 85 Degrees and the Gens KBBQ plaza. Went to try this place during their BOGO deal. I sampled a few of the bases, and they were all really good. Love that you can add unlimited toppings at no extra charge. The blueberry one was so good -- I loved it. The strawberry wasn't in season, so it was a bit sour. I also liked all the butters they offered -- it really added a nice creamy richness to the bowl. Staff was friendly and quick of making the order. They checked every steps if I was ok with everything and need any adjustments. Location have plenty of parking. Inside was cute, aesthetics and clean. Overall, I'd give it 4/5 stars -- everything tasted great, but I probably wouldn't buy a single bowl at full price. read more

Is the Pitaya base made of pure fruit or does it have sweetener or other juice/fruit mix added?
Do you do points? This place do points with CashApp I wished one of the worker had told me soon been coming here a few times already and could of earned at least 36 -45 points by now.

I was just in there & they mentioned it runs out fast. They had another flavor sold out that day too. 😩
Do they have vegan options?
I think most of their bases are vegan and they have agave as a topping. As for the granola, asl which one has honey/egg whites etc
