Vida Pura is located in a plaza you may not expect to find this coffee shop in! It's pretty small and the parking lot is tight but there's street parking as well as parking in the back. I went on a Friday morning around 930 and it seemed quite busy already, with even more people arriving after I sat down. There's some indoor seating (moreso for small groups) but seems like you might have to get lucky depending on the crowd and how long folks are staying for. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful in explaining their menu. It seems like their drinks run on the sweeter side so I adjusted my sugar in the Teddy and it was perfect the way it was! I also got the breakfast burrito. I appreciated how much avocado is in there! It was pretty decent... I felt like it was missing a hint of flavor on something but I couldn't put my finger on it. This little coffee shop is really cute! Most coffee shops charge extra for non-dairy milk however this place is all vegan so there is no extra charge! The coffee is smooth and has the most perfect flavor! The great part is it's cheaper than Starbucks! My drink was only $5.50! I recommend you try this coffee shop! read more

Lately, it feels like Downey is the new Long Beach with all the new coffee shops opening! Vida Pura is one of the latest and it's definitely worth the hype. Coffee 10/10 We ordered a Spanish latte with an extra shot and their Banana Nut latte. Both were incredible! The Spanish latte was smooth even with the added shot. It wasn't bitter whatsoever. It was the perfect balance between sweet and strong. The Banana Nut was my first ever banana flavored coffee and I came home that weekend and attempted to make my own banana syrup. It was sooo good!! We're not big fans of the overly sweet coffees, but these were perfect. Food 9/10 For breakfast, we ordered their breakfast burrito (beans, soyrizo, tofu scramble, hashbrowns, avocado) and their breakfast muffin sandwich (English muffin, impossible meat patty, cheese, tomato). 100% recommend both of these items. I did like the sandwich a bit more but my partner enjoyed the burrito. The sizes are bigger than expected and you'll definitely be full. We ordered their chia pudding for our toddler and were a bit sad that we got the overnight oats instead so we didn't get to try the chia pudding. The line was stupid long so I didn't want to say anything. The oats were not our favorite. They're mid. Nothing amazing and my toddler just ate the fresh fruit on top. Vibes/Ambiance : 9/10 We came on a Sunday morning and it was PACKED! I will say, it was the first week opening so that explains the line but the wait time was long. The line was out the door and I feel like we waited for a good 30-40 minutes. Again, I personally think it was worth it, but I can't wait for the lines to get a bit shorter. The space itself is small, parking in front is limited but they do have parking in the back. The vibe is very demure haha very cute with such a clean girl aesthetic. Besides the amount of people in there, I can totally see this being a chill spot to go and work for a few hours! Staff were busy, so interactions were minimal but they were working hard to get all orders out. They seem to have a great system and orders were flowing smoothly. Every establishment that opens at this location doesn't make it. Will this be the business to break that streak? Don't let the limited parking in the front turn you off, there's parking in the back. This is a plant based milk only establishment. They use Califia almond milk and Oatly oat milk. They used a medium roast coffee for my hot oat milk latte. It was okay, no sweetner for me but I still prefer Bums for my coffee. It's one of those places where you come for the cold sweet drinks so if you like that you will most likely love the coffee here. Also ordered a hot americano but they made it iced which we just took it like that. Again it was okay nothing special. I saw some 100 percent organic cookies that looked good but didn't order any. Banana nut latte is yummy, they use a house made banana syrup that does not taste like any artificial flavoring which is important to me. Everything here is non dairy and majority of lattes are made with oat milk + plant based breakfast options. Overall I loved the ambiance and aesthetic of the place. read more

Man I loved their first location and this one is even better. Everything is vegan and plant based friendly by default which is amazing and you would not even know from how accurate the white chocolate on the raspberry scone tastes. The blueberry scone is delicious as well. Unfortunately if you come late expect some of their stuff to be sold out because it's just that good. The breakfast burrito is a must if you can get it. Our go to order is the teddy bear matcha and the teddy bear latte both of which are absolutely THE BEST. The interior of this new location is super nice and I'm glad there's a bunch of seating here! I went in today, on a Sunday, around 1 pm. We did have to wait quite a bit, but the young lady who took our order (Nicole) was very patient and made sure not to rush our order, as we had some questions. She was very polite and made sure she noted the special requests we had. We got the banana latte and teddy graham matcha, which were both delicious and had the right amount of sweetness for my liking. This place has a family friendly environment and felt very welcoming. I'm from Hawthorne and was in the area for an appt so I wanted to try out this shop and it 100% did not disappoint. 10/10 on just the first try honestly, their breakfast burrito is amazing. The salsa that comes with it is perfect in my opinion. Their iced teddy bear latte is also so good, color perfect, sweetness is not overwhelming but if you don't like sweet, definitely try a different one. Service is awesome as well, so friendly. I was so excited to try this spot since I saw good reviews on TikTok.... Terrible decision. Service is so slow and disorganized. I waited in line 15 minutes and then an extra 30 minutes for ONE drink.
