I don't recommend this place. It's extremely overpriced for the quality of the drinks. The espresso tasted old and bitter, almost as if the shots had been pre-made and stored before being added to the drinks. Unfortunately, our beverages tasted more like flavored milk than actual coffee. If you're looking for fresh, quality coffee, I would recommend trying Honey Greens Cafe instead. Cute little cafe! There's plenty of parking. There's seating inside and outside. They have a great menu selection. Service was okay... I decided to try the regular matcha latte with oat milk, which is not sweetened. I wish I would've known as I usually do like it with vanilla or simple syrup! Saw this place on TikTok and had to give it a try! I ordered the Toffee Nut Latte, the Cookie Butter Latte, and the banana pudding. Stopped two days in a row after meaning to check it out for a while. Since it's a bit out of my way, I made sure to take full advantage. Janjoun, who was at the front both days, was welcoming. Not just to me, but to every customer who walked in. She's super sweet and helpful, offering recommendations tailored to what you usually enjoy. The Biscoff latte was delicious and perfectly balanced. It wasn't too sweet or cloying. I'm not sure what beans they use, but it made me jittery, something I've rarely experienced with other coffees. The tres leches cake was delicious as well. I had a few bites and saved the rest. It's bigger than it appears in the photos. Second visit, I tried the pistachio latte, Biscoff cheesecake, and a piece of baklava. The pistachio latte was fantastic. It had authentic pistachio flavor (not an artificial taste). I finished it before I even got home. The cheesecake and baklava were both divine. I shared them with my husband, and he loved them too. I'm in love with this place. I'm glad it's a bit of a drive for me to get to or I would be there every day. The biscoff latte is my absolute fave here. I have tried their cinnamon roll and their brookie too. The Brookie tasted better after warming it up quickly in the microwave. The parking lot is shared with pizzamania and other businesses but I have never had an issue finding a spot to park. The service is friendly and helpful. They want to make sure the drink they make is what you want so they will use whatever milk you want. I appreciate them so much! See you again soon, Stories! I never take pictures cause I just dig in. It's TASTY! I arrived at Stories Cafe (Whittier) on Thursday (around 11:37AM). Parking is easy. The lot is very big. Staff is professional, knowledgeable, and hard working. Staff provided wonderful recommendations, and Staff eagerly answered my questions. My drink took one minute and 40 seconds. Very fast! As mentioned, I love the Pistachio Latte ($8 - Iced). It carries a creamy pistachio flavor that tasted natural and fresh. I felt awake after sipping. It masterfully balances utility and flavor. I couldn't hide my happiness as I continued to laugh aloud. I'm so happy that this location's exceptional reputation is well-earned. Regarding ambiance, Stories Cafe (Whittier) is clean, well-ventilated, and comfortable. The ceiling is very tall, so it felt very spacious. There's two very long counters with many chairs, and there's three tables. Stories Cafe (Whittier) also has utility. There's four available electrical outlets (some embedded in the counter); there's even slots for usb cables. There's also customer internet with password; its info is very visible since there's several mini internet signs on its tables. There's also a gender neutral restroom. And there's a small water station in the corner. The instrumental music is also very soothing. Overall, I had a delightful experience at Stories Cafe (Whittier). I'm so happy that the hype is real. After a tough loss in my Sunday league soccer match I was feeling down and decided I needed coffee. I saw this place was a quick 5 minute drive, so I headed over instantly. I ordered the Stories Double Iced Latte and man did it deliver. For those who love the bitterness of coffee and like it strong, I highly recommend this drink. There are also other sweeter options but in this case I was in need of a quicker picker upper drink. The espresso shots instantly hit a dopamine surge in my brain that made me forget the tough soccer game loss I experienced earlier that morning. Previously feeling down, all of sudden my moral boosted as I was sipping on this Stories Double Iced Latte. They also have a Biscoff latte in which I was very tempted to try. Maybe next time i visit this place I will order this drink. Parking situation is very easy as they have plenty of parking spots in the plaza. Could get busy but baristas are quick with orders, making lines go by fast. Restrooms are clean and overall space inside is well maintained with great AC for those hot sunny days. I also got a couple of pastries - a chocolate chip muffin and an apple danish. It was a cool, fresh morning so we decided to sit outside where our orders were kindly brought to us. The Spanish latte had a wonderful, mixed cinnamon and mocha flavor. I had multiple sips (more than I should have) of my friend's dulce de leche latte, which was sweet with a deep caramel taste. Both were excellent. The muffin was fresh and full of chocolate chips while the apple danish was incredible, soft & fresh with multiple thin apple slices on top of some sort of cream filling. My favorite was the pistachio matcha. It had a nutty and strong pistachio flavor, with a smooth and bold matcha undertone. The mango matcha was so fruity and refreshing, just perfect for a hot day. I've been hearing about this all over Instagram and I'm always passing by it. I finally came in on a Sunday morning. Parking was amazing not crowded at all. As you walk in, you see all of the pastries and sandwiches as well as the menu. The waitress was very friendly and we talked for a little bit. I ended up getting a maple butter iced latte. Oh my God it tasted like fall in a cup. I'm already a sucker for maple so you know I have to get it. I also got two slices of baklava for $9 each and it was so worth it. It's humongous and not a really sweet like other places. The decor is adorable. You've got ornaments all over. There is an Arabic phrase on the wall in gold, but unfortunately I can't read Arabic lol even though I'm Egyptian. This is the one for the books. Very aesthetically pleasing cafe- with delicious coffee! I love the  unique variety of coffee they have. I decided to get the Nutella latte which I really enjoyed. The Nutella flavor comes through really nicely, strong enough to taste but not overwhelming at all. I also had the salted cinnamon roll, and it paired so well with the latte. He bought the Spanish latte and 4 pastries (I'm guessing it was the Dubai chocolate cake and biscoff cheesecake?) I didn't try the biscoff but the Dubai chocolate cake was absolutely delicious, my kids loved it. The Spanish latte was really good, I don't understand people saying it tasted like milk? I definitely tasted the coffee. I also don't like my coffee THAT strong. My bf bought the Golden espresso for himself and he said he really liked it because it wasn't too sweet (which he prefers) Coffee is def subjective. The shop has a clean, open concept layout, but it's oddly shaped, there's really only room for about three people to stand in line since the entrance is directly behind the ordering area. Service was fine, nothing standout but not bad either. I ordered a hot Biscoff latte and a hot Spanish latte. The drinks are a bit pricey, which I understand since they only offer one size (16 oz). Personally, when I'm trying a new coffee shop, I prefer having the option of a smaller size like a 12 oz or less. Unfortunately, I didn't really care for either latte. They weren't terrible, just not my preference. Still, it was nice to sip on them while I was there and check out the space. A newer cafe that opened in the area, I'm always passing by and finally decided to stop by! Very glad I did! I got their pistachio matcha with almond milk. Solid pistachio flavor as well as good matcha (which they actually whisked)! Flavors mix well together with the nuttiness of the pistachio but not overpowering. Just sad how normal it is for drinks to be almost $9 but that's how it is across the board :( if they're using quality ingredients including good ceremonial matcha then I could justify the price Their baked stuff looks so good too. Their desserts are always so tasty (a little on the pricier side, but totally worth it, plus its super cool to support a new local business). My favorite sweet treats so far have been the cinnamon roll, and the chocolate cake, the chocolate cake has actually been one of the best chocolate cakes my friends and I have ever had. The drinks are consistently good, and their matcha is especially delicious. My favorite is the coconut matcha, which is made with coconut water instead of milk, it's so refreshing! They have something for everyone in their menu. The staff is always so welcoming and friendly, and give great recommendations.
