Very limited parking in their lot but you can park on the street. It's also quite small inside. They have a bench which is nice while you wait for your drinks/pastries. Customer service was okay, not much of an interaction. It was very packed on a Sunday afternoon but my drink came out very fast. I kept seeing this place all over TikTok, so I decided to stop by and try the tiramisu latte. The shop itself is pretty small, so it feels more like a grab-and-go spot rather than somewhere to sit and hang out. The parking lot is also small, and street parking can be limited when it's busy. Luckily, when I went there wasn't anyone there, so finding parking was easy. As for the drink, the tiramisu latte was just okay. The coffee itself was actually pretty smooth and not bitter, which I liked. However, the tiramisu foam mostly tasted like plain cream and didn't really have that distinct tiramisu flavor. I think it could have used another pump of flavor or something to make it stand out more. Tinyyyy spot. Like you walk in and you're basically already at the register The waiting area is almost nonexistent, so be ready to stand outside. There's one bench that could maybe fit 6-8 people if y'all scoot in real tight lol. They did play good music. The staff is just a bunch of chill girls fr. Today was my first time going. They had a sign on the door stating that they would open at 11 a.m. due to their power being out. So I waited until 11:15 a.m., and a worker came out and said, "Sorry, but our power is still out. Would you like some of the pastries that I have?" I said, "Sure, thank you." So she gave me five different pastries and a horchata coffee, all for free. I will for sure go back to try some of the items that I wanted to try. read more

We came here after seeing this place all over TikTok -- the drinks looked amazing in the videos, but it honestly felt like a paid promo. I ordered the cookie butter latte and was immediately confused. It didn't look like cookie butter at all and tasted like a watered-down regular latte. For $8, it was a huge disappointment. I ended up throwing it away because it just wasn't drinkable. The atmosphere wasn't welcoming either. There was only one person actually making drinks while multiple orders were coming in, which felt ridiculous. One employee was juggling four drinks at once while another person just stood around looking for something to do. I can't help but think that's why the quality was so bad. Overall, very disappointed with this experience. Definitely a reminder to do more research before trying TikTok spots. read more

I love love love this place! The coffee and pastries are delicious. The staff is always friendly and I love aesthetic inside. There's some small parking to the side of the building and out front but I've never had an issue - not much seating inside, so I think that helps keep the parking manageable. read more

My sister told me about La Casa Dulce so I had to give it a try. When we first walked in it was so beautiful, so cute definitely aesthetically pleasing. We were greeted by three staff members which I thought was awesome. The customer service was great. Cashier was very friendly and the young lady behind the desserts counter answered any questions that we had. There were so many goodies and sweet treats in the glass case it was almost hard for me to decide. I ended up getting a Cinnabon and my sister got a Biscoff Cinnabon. We both got matchas, I don't normally get Matcha, but I decided to give it a try. I got a Biscoff Matcha with almond milk and cold foam iced and it was actually really delicious. My sister got a banana Matcha. She liked it. I think I might be a Macha girly now because my drink was on point! I was a little disappointed by the Cinnabon's. They were very dry, emphasis on very dry. We tried warming it up for a few seconds to soften it and melt the frosting at the top. I feel like that made it harder. I probably should've got like a muffin or a cupcake or a coffee cake. Definitely when I go back, I'll get one of those. read more

It was super cute inside, very aesthetically pleasing. Although it's not your typical coffee shop cus you aren't able to really enjoy it there as there is no seating, only for waiting for your drinks. Parking is veryyyy limited, there is a plaza next door to it so you can probably park there and just walk over. All the pastries they had in display looked so yummy I wanted to try multiple ones but I held back lol. The one I got was delicious, it wasn't overly sweet which I enjoyed. I believe this coffee shop is fairly new. Owner said they opened the 2nd week of December. Feels very warm inside. Food was good I got the biscoff brownie lots of flavor in it. The drinks were very good! I like my drinks on the sweeter side and this definitely hit that mark. Workers are nice. Some pasties are hard, maybe sitting too long. The young man working has long hair in his face, not wearing a net, hat or keeping it up at all. Visited a Sunday morning and the place was packed. Someone asked, it's my first time where do I order and the lady behind the counter said "I think this is the line it kind of goes around". I think an order here sign and a pickup here sign would be good. I ordered the cafe de olla hot and was equivalent to a coffee from a donut shop but double the price. Not worth it, it needs some work. The Spanish latte was decent, very pricy for the quality, it came with a stale lady finger. The pasties is definitely the best part of this place, I have some suggestions. First I'd say labeling the pastries correctly and staff knowing what is out. I asked for the biscoff roll that was labeled as a pistachio roll. I asked for the croissant muffin and lady had to look at what I was talking about because she didn't know what I was talking about. Another suggestion is to have rolls and muffins ready and maybe prepare them as they're ordered? This way they can be warmed the topped with toppings. The bread is so soft and it's decent but warming it would make it a lot better. A cold cinnamon roll is just not it. This spot was unfortunately disappointing but I hope they do grow and get better because they have a good concept read more

I go for the coffee mostly. They always have the best coffee but don't expect it to be quick and ready like Starbucks they take their time to perfect the drinks they are worth it- the flavor is unmatched. My fave coffee spot in Downey. Not to mention they have a simple dessert glass case for single serve if you want something quick. I've gotten the biscoff cheesecake shooter and caramel panda cotta and even cinnamon rolls. They are constantly rotating desserts every day; so if you like something get it because it isn't guaranteed to be there again; not to mention they're aesthetically pleasing and great little single serve options. The pastries are dry and do not have much flavor to them. I had ordered a cinnamon bun warmed and three drinks and we were waiting for a good 25 mins and when our drinks were ready the cinnamon bun was cold, i told the worker that i had asked for it to be warmed and he popped it in the microwave for 5 seconds and then gave it to me. The service isn't the best either. The place is very aesthetically pleasing but the actual Food/drinks are not good matcha was not good at all it tasted more like water + milk. read more

I tried a chocolate chip cookie and a cookie butter iced latte. The cookie was perfect- not too sweet. It wasn't too hard or soft just again perfect. The latte however was priced at 7.50 for a 16oz and the latte was ok nothing special. The latte felt like they had sweetened it with sugar free syrup. And the cold foam wasn't strong in flavor. Waited almost 30 min for our coffee . Everything looks great but tastes mediocre. The Cafe De Olla tasted like regular coffee with cream no cinnamon no clove taste at all. The pistachio latte again was mid barely any taste of pistachio. The 3 people working there were overwhelmed and seemed confused. Got the party pack (30) for the school staff, and of course had to try for myself too with a regular (9). Ended up being an hour and a half before I got around to trying our box of 9. Looked interesting enough. Kid took his bite and said yum. I took mine to the sink (lol) to catch any crumbs, but surprised me that it's not just a ball of a regular donut. This had an amazingly satisfying crispy crunchy exterior, with an airy chewy interior! I can't imagine how much better it would be when freshly made at the store! Even an hour and a half later was delicious... Me and the kid quickly devoured our 3 each and struggled to leave 3 for wife before we had to go to an activity. When we returned, wife was also raving, what was that, where did you get it? Trust me, you will not be able to eat just one. I'm greedy, I definitely want more than 3 next time! Donut ball itself wasn't overly sweet, just delicious period. I guess it's the toppings that add the sweetness. Only tried the classic (honey cinnamon, walnut). The other flavors will probably be amazing desserts, but I think all I need is just the donut ball by itself. Honey and walnut adds a bit of sweetness and bite, but the base donut ball is a shining star on it's own in my book! Good thing was the honey was mostly on the bottom and walnut crumbles on top, so you can rub as much or not of those as it fits you. Few days later, each of us were still talking about this greek donut. Just looking for a reason to grab this again. Father's day is coming up, I think it's time for a Party!

My last trip was kind of spontaneous because I suddenly got a Fivestars reward that day for these waffle bites. However, when I arrived, I was looking for the Fivestars tablet only to be met by a Clover tablet instead. It felt like I went through a time warp because the employee working behind the register didn't seem to have any idea what I was trying to say regarding Fivestars, though he did notice a little trifold card on the front counter mentioning Fivestars. I asked if he could get his manager so I could explain, and even show, him my Fivestars reward. The reward said "already accepted", which he almost thought meant I had redeemed it already, but if that were the case, then it would have said "already redeemed". Given that they've now done away with Fivestars, I'm not too surprised he may have gotten the words "accepted" confused with "redeemed", but luckily, he was happy enough to honor it for me. The employee who assisted me was very helpful, though he did ask me to repeat the topping and the drizzle that I wanted. I chose the Strawberry Cheesecake flavor ice cream with Fruity Pebbles toppings and a Strawberry drizzle on top. Since I had already tried the cookie flavors before, I figured I'd try the fruity flavors this time around. He said he needed about 5 minutes to prepare my waffle bites, which were presented a little different than last time. Last time, I got the Cookie Butter flavor with *Cookie* Crisp and Peanut *Butter* (see what I did there?), and it came in a small plastic takeout container. This one came in a large plastic cup, and I'm thinking the logistics may have changed a ton between my last two visits. I did appreciate how the employee asked if I wanted the waffles on top of or beneath the ice cream before making the waffle bites; I chose on top. He also asked if I'd like powdered sugar on top, to which I agreed. Unfortunately, neither of the waffle bites I got from my last two visits impressed me that much. As a matter of fact, the only thing that impressed me was the strawberry drizzle. Everything else fell kind of flat. While generous in size for the $8 price tag, the Cookie Butter and the Strawberry Cheesecake ice cream didn't really taste like these flavors at all! For whatever reason, the peanut butter didn't add much flavor, but the strawberry drizzle added a lot! How even?! In short, the waffle bites weren't that much of an upgrade from the ice cream scoop that I had on my first visit. I'm willing to say "too much good was no good" here. The waffles themselves were good, but they can only do so much when a flavored ice cream doesn't even taste like that flavor. It's worth noting that on my penultimate visit, when I got the Cookie Butter Waffle Bites, I saw two employees behind the front counter who were ready to take my order. I asked them to explain what the waffle bites were, but it took them a couple of tries to actually understand what I was asking. From what I gathered, the waffle bites were similar to the ice cream scoop I had on my first visit, but with the addition of a warm waffle to supplement the ice cream. However, the step-by-step process remains the same. I was initially told it would take 6 minutes to prepare the Cookie Butter Waffle Bites, but it actually took 15! It seemed like one was training the other or they were trying to gather the ingredients and/or the steps needed to create the waffle bites. After about 10 minutes, I was told by one of the employees they had to make a new batch of waffles because the first batch had burnt. The music was getting pretty loud, so it was hard to hear him after that, but I didn't want to hold up the kitchen prep process any longer. I just said "Alright, sure" so he could continue preparing my order. I do appreciate how he let me know of this so that I'd know the reason for the extended wait, but I wish they weren't so ill-prepared during my visit. So overall, still 3 stars overall. I appreciate the prior partnership with Fivestars, but these missed opportunities have led me to believe that Cravings is just not for me. I doubt I'll try anything else on their ice cream menu, and considering that there are only a few parking spots in their lot, it will take a lot to get me to try their hot chicken. And speaking of lack of parking, I also want to mention that on my second visit, I saw two open parking stalls right in front of Cravings, one on either side of a car. That car had its driver's side wide open so that I couldn't park there. I had to park on the passenger side of that car, which he left much less room for. Perhaps a microcosm of the clientele in this part of town? Everybody deserves a second chance, right? Unfortunately, not everybody can make the most of them, and this is just one example of such. Thanks for the sweet treats Cravings, but I'll get my next one somewhere else.

I kept seeing TikToks about this place so I had to take a drive and see what the hype was about, and let me tell you, the hype is hyping. The coffee was sooo good, and as a huge Biscoff fan, I was in heaven because they had a whole variety of Biscoff pastries. Everything I tried was delicious. I even got to meet the owner and she is the sweetest person ever. Stopped by La Casa Dulce in Downey and had such a cute experience! I ordered a vanilla latte with a Mexican World Cup design on top. It was almost too pretty to drink! The latte itself was smooth, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. I also treated myself to a slice of cheesecake, which was rich, creamy, and paired perfectly with the coffee. I always like seeing business cards in display in coffee shops because I think it shows a level of community in the owners values so it was amazing to see a whole table of cards out for everyone. Local, Latino-owned coffee shops are slowly coming to SELA and I think this is such a great option to try. Everyone is so friendly and we'll definitely be back to try other food items and drinks.
