Our local coffee shop that we come to on a weekly basis. I love getting the chai tea latte as I'm not really a coffee drinker. My boyfriend loves coffee and he's really enjoyed every coffee he's tried here. Every barista we've had here is very kind and knowledgeable when making suggestions. We love staying here as the music is always chill and relaxed vibes when we've come.

I know the image I shared is just a simple to go cup. The contents are a custom made, hand crafted hot chocolate. Robby was kind enough to say, YES I can make that for you". I'm not a coffee drinker so when I enter am establishment just to say, "Hi I noticed your shop and I thought I would pop in and check it out. It's kinda cool when someone says, "Hey you said you like tea? Try this earl gray soda that we created" Pop in. Grab something. Say hello

A simply good latte. They were nice enough to stamp my coffee junk journal.

The coffee here is always on point. Service quick and friendly. It's been awhile since I've been here and same great taste. Parking in the back is nice.

Cara Cara Latte - deliciously sweet

First time here. Tried their cara cara iced latte. I like my lattes sweet and the cara cara was my kind of sweet. Nice balanced coffee with good orange flavors. Very good drink. I could drink 2 of these easy. Only wish they used less ice and came in bigger size. Service friendly. No seating inside. 1 restroom.

I tried this place out because I saw they had a limited time "Cara Cara Latte" drink. Not sure if I didn't like it because it tasted like orange syrup with coffee but I was under the impression that it was a freshly squeezed Cara Cara orange. It wasn't to my liking but I'd come back to try something else. The crew was friendly and it was a nice little coffee shop. I'd have to come back and try a different coffee next time.

My sister loves coming to this local coffee shop and I have to say for my first time here it was really good. I got a honey lavender latte and it was amazing!! It was the perfect amount of coffee and the perfect amount of sweetness. The blueberry donut was so good that I forgot to take a picture, I just had to eat it!! The staff was super patient with our questions and they helped us choose the perfect coffee! The service was amazing, I've been to multiple coffee shops and this has been by far the best service! The place is beautifully decorated and I love how calm the place is and how wonderful the staff was. I would definitely come back!!

We were a big group, we got 4 drinks and two pastries. The staff was nice and got our drinks out promptly. There was plenty of space of us to sit. It was a cute and quaint coffee shop with throwback indie rock playing like Bloc Party and Arctic Monkeys! The coffee was amazing, I drank it so fast! If I come back to LA I will come back here!

Great specialty coffee shop around the north long beach area! Service is so great! The baristas are always friendly and will answer any questions about their coffee (not in a coffee snob kind of way)! The space is welcoming with seating and natural lighting.

LOVE coming to this place with my sister. My favorite drink is their chai latte. I'm not a big coffee drinker but I've tried my sister's whiskey vanilla latte and it's really good, a perfect balance of vanilla and espresso! It has a very relaxed atmosphere and service is always great! Pastries are always delicious too!! I've had many from here and my favorite was a jalapeño croissant thing, i don't remember the name of it but it was SOO good!!

I truly was not expecting how flavorful the Whiskey Vanilla Latte was going to be. It was very smooth, not overly sweet. A coffee lovers dream come true. I'm not much of a Latte person, but this latte might have changed that. The barista really helped me decide on how best to order the coffee, I was going to add an extra shot, but he recommended that I taste it as is, and if I wanted an extra shot that he would remake it. Thankfully, the two shots were a great choice. Loved the service. There's a lot of high top seating and outlets around the bar. It was very clean and slicked. Made it easy to concentrate and get my work done, especially on rainy days. Can't wait to come back!

Had a whisky vanilla latte with oat milk and it was delicious! The espresso was good, and the syrup had great flavor without being too sweet.

Whiskey vanilla latte 5/5 - great espresso flavor with a nice sweetness. 12oz was quite expensive but very good Service 5/5 came around 7:15am and the barista was super chill. Other tidbits: Aesthetic of the drinks, drink name, interior, and vibe was 10/10. Fits together SOOOO well. Really cool art on the outside of the building. Parked on the street, but they have parking in the rear. Definitely coming back!

Ask the Community - Black Ring Coffee Roasters

How's the parking it seems really hard to park?

There is street parking on Long Beach Blvd and a community parking lot on the north side of market street kitty-corner across from the shop. Please do not park in the laundromat parking lot; it is not our lot and they will tow.

Back home it's mostly Vietnamese coffee, which I love... but one of those almost sent me into an anxiety spiral with the caffeine, so I needed something more civilized this morning. This spot hit the mark. Low-key location, easy in and out, no crowds--just coffee. The people were friendly and clearly knew what they were doing. While I was sitting there browsing and trying to smell the coffee through the little vent like a weirdo, they casually mentioned the beans had been roasted yesterday. That told me everything I needed to know. Started with a drip--simple, solid, priced right. Then I rolled the dice on a peanut butter latte, which most places completely mess up. This one didn't. Still tasted like coffee, not a melted candy bar. I also grabbed some ceremonial matcha green tea powder to go, which was legit and not an afterthought. Behind the shop there are some race cars or high-end sports cars tucked into a garage space, which was kind of perfect. This is the third coffee shop I've seen operating out of a garage setup, and honestly, if that's how you keep rent down and spend the money on good beans (or fast cars), I respect it. You can also see the roasting machine while you wait, which is always cool. They've got a couple of benches outside if you want to sit and actually enjoy your coffee instead of chugging it in traffic. Bottom line: good coffee, good people, no ego. I'll definitely be back when I'm in the area. Easy go-to in North Long Beach.

I will say, the cafe de olla is very spice forward. I taste a lot of cloves and star anise. A bit different than others I've had but I really liked it. The mex mocha was smooth and rich. I did see that their slushies are highly rated and now that it's getting hot, we'll def be back to try them! Food 10/10 They don't have food items on their menu but there are baked goods! We ordered a cream croissant looking muffin and a chocolate chip cookie. Both were warmed up and were absolutely delicious. Vibes/Ambiance : 10/10 We came on a Friday morning and it wasn't too busy. There were people working there as they have free wifi and outlets. The decor and vibe is cute! They have art on the walls, pictures, plants, community flyers/events, and statements that make you feel safe and at home. The staff is so friendly and welcoming too! There is a little parking lot right next to the shop and we didn't find it hard to find a spot. There is a park next door so I can imagine on the weekends, parking might be a bit tricker. Menu is simple with the classics (espresso, americanos, cappuccinos, and lattes) and some speciality coffees like the Ibarra Mex Mocha. Prices are pretty reasonable - especially for the quality. Check out "Barako"-known to the people of Pampanga as a "strong, robust cup of kape", at least my mom & dad would say over & over as we were growing up. This shop is spacious, clean, modern , formerly occupied by another coffee shop, Greendoor. TCC features Filipino coffee culture, supporting the hardworking Filipino farmers. The beans are roasted in-house, its humble beginnings of roasting in the proprietor's (Ron Dizon) garage. Barako is the inspiration, Liberia cultivar. My parents would often reminisce that it is the best coffee they've ever tasted, drinking it black. Teofilo was the patriarchal namesake, Ron's maternal grandfather. His very strong work ethic was embedded into the fabric of this coffee shop. Proud Filipino culture in every cup. The space faces the Carson Civic Center with ample, free parking. One can easily spend some time at their comfortable indoor & outdoor seating. High ceiling, modern music playing in the background, it's an ideal place to hang out do some work or just chill and enjoy a cup of kape. Staff are amiable & helpful Whether you enjoy your coffee black, hot or cold, this shop offers innovative flavors for beverages that are Filipino- inspired &/or pair it with baked goods (sourcing local bakers like Gemmae Bakery), it's worth trying.
