I've been coming to this Coffee Drunk for about a month now, and I had to leave a review because of the amazing customer service I received from Alina (I hope I'm spelling her name right!). For the last few weeks, I've been ordering the same latte but modifying it by asking for less milk and no cane sugar. She told me they actually have a drink on the menu called the Shakerato that was literally exactly what I had been customizing--and it was cheaper! I couldn't believe no one had mentioned it before. I really appreciated her looking out for me instead of just ringing up the more expensive modified drink. On top of that, I ordered a breakfast burrito and went out to my car to wait because it was pretty busy inside. When I came back, she was actually outside looking for me with my drink and burrito in her hands. That was such a thoughtful touch and definitely wasn't something she had to do. It's little things like that that make people want to come back. She was so kind, attentive, and genuinely went above and beyond. She even provided the receipt for me so I wouldn't forget what the name of this drink was with the cost! (Which she hand wrote) Customer service like that is hard to find these days, and she made my whole morning. Coffee Drunk already had a regular customer in me, but experiences like this are why I'll keep coming back. read more

I've been back here 3x since I last tried it. And sorry I can only review the Last Call because I LOVE a dirty chai and a chocolatey dirty chai?? A dream. Every time I come here the baristas are so welcoming & so kind! There's always parking when I stop by even on a Saturday morning. I'm sure I'll explore the rest of the menu someday but not someday soon. read more

This location is in Bixby Knolls, but CoffeeDrunk has four locations in LB. I got an "instigator", one of their signature drinks, with espresso that's shaken with maple syrup, brown sugar, and milk. My wife got the "Baby LA", which has their espresso mixed with honey, mint, vanilla syrup, and milk. While we expected for the drinks to run sweet, we were pleasantly surprised by the nice balance in their drinks. I'd definitely come back to try some of their seasonal specials. Sounds like they have a PSL with house made pumpkin syrup, which sounds interesting in this Halloween season. read more

Needed a coffee for that afternoon crash, so stopped by here after lunch. Tried the friends with benefits latte (vanilla and caramel) and the on my way! latte (pistachio). Both were great, but I really liked the friends with benefits cause it was sweet but still strong. Love the fact that they have house-made syrups too! Service was great-- barista was nice and able to recommend options based off my preferences. I also really like their set-up here! Indoor and outdoor seating with great lighting and nice tiled wall designs. The only con is that there's minimal parking in the front, but luckily it was a weekday and there was still street parking. Otherwise, would recommend! read more

I love the coffee drunk near me off 4th street, so when I was near this location I naturally had to try it. Open vibe, cute and different set up, lots of seating. Love the decor. Very friendly staff. I wanted to try one of their fancy matchas so I got the strawberry rose matcha. It was delicious, a sweet treat. It was a wee pricey in my opinion, $11 plus tax after getting almond milk sub. For a splurge day it was tasty lol read more

COFFEEDRUNK was one of our saved places on Yelp for a while and we were finally in the area to try it. Staff is very friendly and welcoming. They have a great menu and some interesting seasonal drink offerings, so we'll definitely be coming back to try more. I've tried the seasonal Christmas Coded Latte that was recommended and their Baby, LA. Both were really good! Loved the decor and aesthetic of the coffee shop, great overall look, plus plenty of shaded patio seating in front and some seats inside. Cute merch for sale. I came by for some coffee yesterday after hearing glowing reviews from friends. It's a wonderful shop that is open air with patio seating out front and seating inside. It's a great place to study/work for a few hours as well. I also love the overall design of the shop along with the decor. The staff were welcoming and friendly and were able to go through the menu and offer recommendations. I ended up going for the Baby La drink. The espresso with the vanilla syrup was great and it wasn't too sweet and I liked the espresso dust on top. The fresh mint brought a hint of freshness to the drink overall and I thoroughly enjoyed it! They also offer canned beverages for sale next to the counter along with pastries until they are sold out for the day. I've ordered both coffee and matcha here, and, I would rather just get coffee. No worries. I would say that coffee is their specialty-- it is in their name and I did enjoy every sip. Their pastries are also very yummy! My matcha was a $8+ for a 12oz with oat milk and a 10% tip. (I took my cup to-go.) I thought it was pricey for a small cup with lots of ice and a partial drink. I don't mind coming back to sit down and have a drink of coffee because their space is calming with their dark green tile and beautiful plantary. It's a good place for a coffee date! The service is better than most since they remember to take your name and call it out when your order is ready. I'm always looking for a more personable service. Coffee drunk had such high expectations from the reviews and when getting there I ordered a large matcha with oat milk and brown sugar. The drink costed 9.94. Me and my girlfriend waited 20 minutes for a mid medium size drink with no brown sugar in it. The service was mediocre when I came back asking for "more" brown sugar. The only reason this place has good reviews cause of the millennials that have bad spending habits. The matcha was decent... just not worth the price! read more

Yeaaahhhh... CoffeeDrunk. Cute little coffee shop located in Bixby Knolls/North Long Beach, right next to George's 50's Diner. There's plenty of parking available. The ambiance is fantastic and has a great vibe. The service was excellent! A young lady with green eyes helped me, and I'm glad I took her advice. As a coffee and tea lover, I can say this place totally hit the spot. I tried the iced "Lil Slice" made with house-made pumpkin sauce (the real shiiit), maple syrup, espresso, and oat milk. Coffee: 6.5/10 Service: 10/10 Ambiance: 8/10 I'm so torn about this coffee shop! There is so much potential. They have a creative coffee menu, unlike most places with standard drip and espresso options. The interior is well-designed with ample seating for such a small space. They have bomb taste in music. And the staff are always SO kind and friendly despite having a million things to do behind the counter. But...their coffee (especially the specialty drinks) is wayyy overpriced. They are more expensive than Stereoscope, who imports a lot of their beans and other products and provides more of an upscale experience. So it's hard for me to justify going to this spot regularly. Also, the Bees In The Trap espresso tonic I ordered today (for $10 freaking dollars), tasted flat in terms of flavor and carbonation. Disappointed with that one. If they were just a tad cheaper, I would consider trying more of their drinks. But I'm worried I'll get ripped off... read more

Rode my bike here on a Saturday morning right before they opened at 8am. They already had a line before they opened so you know its going to be good. I ordered the instigator coffee with an everything bagel and cream cheese. The coffee was SUPER delicious, you could taste the espresso very mildly and it was super good. They served me a plain bagel and after I showed them, they were able to exchange it to the everything bagel I had purchased. The place is small and there's some seating but for the amount of people they get, there should be more. Overall, I will definitely be back. Everything was really good. read more

I came by Coffee Drunk in Bixby Knolls to check out the Solis Bagels pop-up and grabbed the Pastrami Smoked Salmon and the Cucumber bagel, plus a Matcha Tonic from Coffee Drunk. The smoked salmon bagel was incredible -- the pastrami smoke gave it a deeper flavor than your usual lox, and the pickled onions and dill tied it together beautifully. The cucumber bagel was the perfect contrast -- light, crisp, and super refreshing with the lemon garlic schmear and fresh cucumbers. The Matcha Tonic from Coffee Drunk paired perfectly -- refreshing, earthy, and just the right amount of sweetness. Between the bagels and the drink, it was a balanced and satisfying combo. Really glad to see Solis Bagels popping up here -- the creativity and quality in their bagels definitely make it worth a visit. read more

First timer here! Found parking very easy on a Monday morning. Was greeted by very friendly/welcoming staff and after taking a look at their menu I was interested it their seasonal "Corny on Purpose" espresso. The Instigator, a maple-based latte, is one of my favorite lattes around town, and I find myself craving one at least once a month. This location boasts a cute little patio, even if the view of the street isn't the most inspiring. Still, it's a great spot to catch up with friends and get some sun. I've been seeing Coffee Drunk pop up a lot, so I finally stopped by. I ordered their seasonal drink called Lil' Slice. It's made with their homemade pumpkin sauce, a little maple syrup, espresso, and milk. Super simple and honestly really good. It wasn't too sweet or too heavy. I got it hot, but I feel like iced might bring out the pumpkin flavor even more next time. I also grabbed the rajas breakfast burrito, and it was seriously delicious. I must've been hungry for I didn't even notice they gave me green tomatillo salsa until after I'd already started eating. The burrito didn't even need it -- it was flavorful and cheesy. The salsa was just a bonus at the end. Customer service was a little off when I first ordered, but the barista who made my drink made up for it. I love coffee. When they opened coffee drunk I was working at the time and when I got off I didn't make it on time. I really enjoyed this place the first few times. My last 2 experiences were trash. The lady who took my order had this blank unenthused look on her face every time I see her, doesn't even return a smile, & it makes me feel uncomfortable (as someone who has been in customer service for over 20 years, it makes no sense how they have her at the register). I ordered a matcha tea w/oat-milk and the first time it was amazing; the last 2 times it was trash. I considered the first bad time a hiccup, but the very last straw was when I had horrible bloating for over 24hrs after drinking their matcha tea. I didn't even drink it past the first few sips because it had a horrible taste; I can't even begin to describe how disgusting it was. Their vegan breakfast burrito, however, was excellent--so good! But the overall experience was enough to keep me from returning. Overall sum of my experiences, 3/10--will not recommend, but there's still some good staff there. read more

This review is based on frustration more then anything. I have been to this location several times. The people are friendly and the coffee is good. But we had an email offer for buy one drink get the second half off which we were looking forward tj taking advantage of today. We cut it close as we weren't close to the location when we decided to go. Now, true, the offer did say by 2:00. We got there at about 2:03 or 2:04. So yes, we missed the time by a couple minutes. And if the cut off is 2:00, is 2:05 too late? 2:10? I understand that they were just sticking to the terms of the offer. But we asked if we could use the offer still and they said no, 2:00 had passed. Not sure why this got to me but it did. Perhaps it's my age. I just feel that customer service is slipping these days and a small gesture, such as honoring a promotion three minutes past the stated time might have gone a long way. We left and ended up at Starbucks, which I still like, but also like to support the smaller businesses in the Long Beach community, especially for coffee. I know to this business one less customer doesn't really matter to them and won't miss our occasional visits. But we've had our last visit to Coffee Drunk. There's plenty of other coffee shops to patronize. Reply to owner Breezy c, I'm "that type of person"?That is your response. I was simply expressing my disappointment in the flexibility of a promotion. That it. Everything in my review is 100% accurate. But your reply to me is based on your perception of me? I'm glad you responded because now I don't feel bad about leaving a 1 start review. You may own the business but your reply shows the people skills, or lack there of that make me satisfied with my review of your establishment and desire to not go back. Your response is offensive. Did any of my comments make any assumptions of you, your business or your staff? No. But your first sentence is an implication into what you think you know about me based on my comment. I'm glad that you feel so entitled to make such comments about someone that used to enjoy going to your location. I can see that this is a true reflection into the the type of person you are read more

Yummy Coffee and Matcha!! I got the Iced Butterscotch Latte, and my sister got the Iced Matcha Latte. The Iced Butterscotch Latte is seasonal, but I never heard of butterscotch in lattes so I was excited to try it out! The butterscotch flavoring isn't super strong, but you can taste it in the latte. The Iced Butterscotch Latte was pretty good! The Iced Matcha Latte was a beautiful green color so we had high hopes. My sister was asked what type of sweetener she would like, and she chose vanilla. The Iced Matcha Latte was delicious, the vanilla flavoring was strong, but you're still able to taste the matcha. It doesn't taste like straight milk which was great! The employees are very friendly. They were kind, and they were pretty fast considering we went during lunch hours. We were told on Tuesday at around 12pm that it was happy hour on the Breakfast Burrito where you can get it for $6. The cafe is beautiful. It was a bit tough to find parking, but I found parking in the neighborhood nearby. The cafe has an open patio and chairs and tables outside. It's perfect for people watching while enjoying the fresh air with coffee. There's merchandise, and there's chairs and tables more inside the cafe if you're not feeling being outside. I noticed some people have coffee mugs if you want to sit in and stay a while. The cafe is also very clean. I would come here again! The cafe was cute, the employees were nice, and there were a couple drinks on the menu that I want to try next time! read more

Instead, I went with the bacon and chive croissant. Jay also let me know that pastries are half off after 2 PM, which was a nice bonus. While I was waiting for my coffee, Justin let me know my croissant would be ready soon--and he actually brought it over to me, which was really thoughtful!
