This coffee shop has a really nice, modern vibe and is a great spot if you're looking for somewhere to study, catch up with a friend, or just relax for a bit. We tried the Vietnamese coffee and the new Strawberry Cream Oat Latte. The Vietnamese coffee definitely packs a punch. It's strong and flavorful but it leans on the sweeter side. If you don't usually like very sweet Vietnamese coffee, I'd recommend asking for half sweet. Just keep in mind that it may taste a bit more bitter that way. The Strawberry Cream Oat Latte was the standout for me. I was worried it would be overly sweet, but it ended up being a really well-balanced drink. The strawberry and coffee complemented each other perfectly, and it was refreshing without tasting artificial. I came on a Thursday afternoon and ordered through the kiosk. This location has plenty of seating inside, so it would be a nice place to hang out for a bit. I noticed they had bags of coffee on display, but when I asked the worker, she said they don't actually sell the coffee beans here. That made me a little sad because I was hoping to bring some home. I got the black sesame matcha and it was so good. The black sesame paired perfectly with the matcha and neither flavor overpowered the other. It had a really rich flavor and wasn't watered down at all. It definitely some strong matcha because I was so wired afterward. It was described as Vietnamese coffee topped with a sweet and smooth coconut ube cream blend. Upon trying the coffee drink, I was instantly in love. The strength of the coffee was very strong with high caffeine, and the flavor was so delicious! The ube cream totally enhanced the overall taste, making it a lasting impression. I can in around 11am on a Monday after doing laundry and the place was packed with laptop warriors, and people were continuously coming in while I was waiting for my drink, so they seem to be doing well. I've seen this place all over Instagram and I was dying to give it a try. I had looked over the menu and decided I was going to try the marble drip. I went in the early evening, so there was plenty of parking and not much of a line. The barista was very friendly and helpful in picking out a drink. Tried out Da Vien and enjoyed the clean open space, and that you could order at the Kiosk or register. I ordered an Ube cream coffee and a Sesame matcha latte. Loved the, thick, Ube cream coffee. The Ube was so good and the perfect consistency. The Sesame matcha latte was just okay for me. I didn't feel that the sesame really stood out so I would try another cream next time. I've been here a couple times now since it had opened since it's pretty close to where I work and the mobile app makes it so easy! Service has always been really efficient, even when they're so busy when Da Vien has their BOGO deals. I like the decoration at this location--very modern and cute! I have tried many Da Vien drinks. Their new matcha is much improved because I hated their previous one!! The quality is much better now. Their coffee is always strong and keeps me going through the day! I am a huge fan of cream tops and I am currently obsessed with their new strawberry cream tops. SOOO good and reminds me of Vietnamese cake frosting!! The matcha tasted better. The color was more vibrant. I also tried their ube matcha. The ube was somewhat weak. Couldn't taste much of the ube. However, it was not bad at all. I've tried a few lattes from Da Vien and they are always such a pick me up. I love Vietnamese coffee, it's so good. For some reason I've never been interested in trying a banana latte from anywhere, but my bf bought me Da Vien's banana latte today as a surprise and I actually really enjoyed it. 10/10 was such a delightful and sweet drink. When I'm there in person, I typically use the self serve kiosk to order and the service is fast and efficient. Never have any issues with the staff. It gets surprisingly busy in there, lots of people like to meet in groups or go to study/do work at the tables. Overall I enjoy Da Vien's a lot, it's become our fav coffee shop in LB. read more

Both drinks were $12 & some change and they were both good, like nice and creamy like i like it. Love the crushed ice, I can eat a whole cup of ice if I could. Also, you can ask for drinks to be half sweet because yes they can be on the sweet side if you're not into that & if you do like sweet just leave it alone. Such an aesthetic place! Love the space here. They have kiosk ordering which is convenient. I got my drink very quickly, but not sure if it's because there was no line when I got there. I ordered the large einspanner which is only $6. So many other cafes would easily charge $7+ for a similar drink and size. The coffee itself was strong in a good way and the ratio of milk to coffee was just right. I got 50% sweetness, but I would go for "extra sweet" next time since I prefer it more sweet. There was one particular girl who helped me pick up my order as I ordered it online. (: I made an order of 2 Banana Lattes - 1 with 50% Sweet and Oatmilk, the other without any adjustments to it; as well as the Egg and Ham melt Croissant. I had LOVE my Banana Latte, it came out great! My colleague loved her latte as well. However, my Egg and Ham melt Croissant interestingly has green residue... I tried to see if maybe it was avocado and it was a potential add-on. But, upon opening the app, I did not see any add-on options for the Croissants........ What is that, then? Matcha powder?? Small location so seating can be difficult depending on time of day that you go. They have three options: 1. Self service kiosk 2. Order with an employee at the counter 3. Order on the app and pickup on the designated pickup counter I have tried three drinks so far: 1. Banana Latte - my all time fave and it will be my go to ! Very creamy and not an artificial banana taste. Coffee is decently strong but there is an option for less shots of espresso if you want a lighter drink 2. Sesame Latte - tasted of sesame cream but it was also very well balanced and easy to drink. It is not my personal go to but I would drink it again if someone brought me it. 3. Banana matcha latte - it was ok, not my favorite matcha drink. However, I will have to try it again to give it a fair shot. I wasn't a fan of the matcha flavor, it was extremely bitter which is not my personal preference but it could have also just been an off day so I will update on my next try. Finally a Da Vien Coffee in Long Beach!! It recently just opened and located in the new plaza where Aldi is at. They are building quite a few new things there so I wonder what else will open up. Anyways, parking is okay. There's plenty for now since there's still empty business spots. The inside of the shop is nice and new. So clean! Plenty of tables and seatings. We usually only come here for their special deals. They have BOGO deals on certain drinks and when we see one we like, we would come here. We had gotten their banana matcha and the ube matcha. My first time trying Da Vien was last week and I've been there 5 times since. The matcha is my absolute favorite! I enjoy that there a different milk options and a larger size. I'm not sure how I feel about this place yet I got the strawberry matcha It's like mashed strawberries on bottom, milk in middle then a foam matcha on top. I got a straw but the foam is so thick it's hard to mix aka you only taste the milk and very sweet strawberry (it seemed like a strawberry and sugar mixture). I got rid of the straw and tried to shake it a little but again hard with the foam and tried to drink it without the straw but again doesn't really work the thick foam just blocks everything so overall this drink isn't very strawberry matcha flavored. It's more like take the cover off and you'll get matcha, finish that then you'll get strawberry milk. Or you'll get strawberry, milk and once you can finish that you get the matcha. Finally got to try this place when my friendly coworker treated me as a Christmas gift. Since she has the app, there was a deal for a BOGO free Ube matcha. I was craving coffee, so I tried the marble drip at 30% sweetness and it was perfect. She also ordered the matchas at 30%. Anyhow, she told me to keep the second ube matcha for the next day since she left it in our work fridge, and it was so delicious! The only thing I noticed tasted a bit off was the ice at the end, but I don't know if that was because of the coffee or the ice itself. I couldn't imagine these drinks at full or extra sweetness. If you like the taste of your coffee or matcha (I believe they use ceremonial but not 100% sure) then I totally suggest the 30-50% sweetness level. So happy Da Vien has a location in the LBC now! I frequent their OC locations whenever I can. Their app and loyalty program is a great way to earn and save up on their yummy addicting drinks! This location is on Anaheim, very close to Long Beach Thai, in a fairly new and modern developing shopping strip. It has enough parking and the shop is big enough, very clean and bright, which is their signature! I came after lunch at Long Beach Thai on a Friday around 1230 and there was a long line of cool people waiting for their coffee! You need to get their app and order via mobile and pick up! Highly recommend! My fav is their house coffee, viet coffee, egg coffee, matcha latte and coconut matcha. Their eispanner coffee is also very yummy and you can adjust sweetness all the way to 0 One thing I really like about Da Vien is you can basically add on any cream foam on top of your drinks! Really nice interior decoration and seating area. Employees are nice and knowledgeable of their drinks. My go to is classic Vietnamese coffee but this time I tried coconut blend coffee. It's blended as its name. Mix it well before you drink. It also has coconut shaving sprinkled on top. The drink was very nice mixture of coconut and coffee. Since I was back in my old stomping grounds on the eastside of LBC, I decided to check out Da Vien to see if it really lives up to the hype. Let me just say--I'm not a coffee snob, nor do I go to coffee shops for vibes or aesthetics. My "hype check" is based purely on taste and customer service. Based on that, Da Vien absolutely lives up to it. It was my first visit, and Mackenzie--the young lady taking my order--was incredibly patient as I had 'fifty-leven' questions about the drinks. I knew I didn't want anything too sweet or too strong. She recommended a few options, including the Banana Latte. It sounded interesting, so she let me sample the banana cream before I decided. The banana cream was the perfect level of sweetness--not too sweet at all. I ended up ordering the banana cream drink, which is banana cream layered over Da Vien's in-house sweet milk with a shot of bold espresso. I substituted the sweet milk for oat milk, and it was delicious. Parking was easy since it's located in a strip mall. I've heard it can get crowded, but surprisingly--especially for a Saturday afternoon--I walked straight up to the register with no wait.
