Comforting, freshly baked pastries, & soothing chai lattes! They also have Açaí, salads, sandwiches and bagels. It's a family owned business with whole and nutritious ingredients. I tried their lemon bar and it was so buttery and flaky that crust and the lemon was so tangy and tart and sweet. My chai latte was also so creamy and sweet and hot. I loved it. I love those spices in it. Service was very friendly and fast it seem to be a favor with locals as it was very busy and mostly inside the ambience is very calm and relaxed. They don't drown you and loud music. Everything is very quiet and peaceful. It's also very close to the beach so you can take a drink and bite to go and eat it as you watch the ocean waves roll in!! Thank you to my cousin Brenda for bringing me here. I can't wait to go back~~~

I got green tea with honey and ginger. Service was great but they are SEVERELY understaffed. They need to hire more people I waited at least 20 minutes for this one cup. The ambiance is cool. Wish it was more cozier: Parking was cool. Pull up and there were a few spots. All in all I'd probably go back

I was a regular at Hojas a few years ago, since I would often stop by before or after my classes at LBCC. I returned a few weekends ago and it didn't disappoint. It was a Saturday morning and the ambiance still felt like a neighborhood coffee spot. The staff was friendly and nice enough to give a few minutes to look at the menu and answer some questions. There isn't a lot of space to sit inside. There are a few tables outside at the sidewalk. The inside though, is lovely decorated with plants and other things. I got a Cafe con Leche drink, and it was just as expected. My only comment would be that you can only get a certain size for certain drinks; but I assume it is common. They also have pastries including cookies, cake, and macaroons as well as food items. I have never gotten food, but the pastries have always been delicious!

This place is small. They do allow dogs, there is only 2 tables, 1 outlet, free wifi, 2 free hour parking in the back and street parking. The lighting is dark in here and cold. They don't have a bathroom here. The staff said it would take them about 5 minutes to make my drink. I got the peaceful lavender. It came out to be $5.50. This is great for those lactose intolerant folks and vegans as it's made with coconut milk. The lavender in this tea was so potent and it tasted like fresh lavender was in it vs those lavender syrups that coffee shops use. It definitely was calming drinking it. This made me want to look forward to spring. Just looking at their menu, I want to try their other tea options. It seems this place is always getting customers.

I'm so glad I finally got myself in here. Hojas is located on a major street with sparking spaces directly in the front. It's a fairly small cafe with a few indoor seating but they do not offer any restrooms. I ordered the cafe con leche and the chefs special bagel and was pleased with both. I want to say my favorite part about my experience here was the customer service - super great vibes, very accommodating and friendly. I would definitely come back and recommend!

These hours don't reflect the hours on Google and Yelp. This business can't get this simple thing right

I've stopped by this particular Hojas in the afternoon TWICE and both times they were closed. On Yelp and Google, their hours state 9 pm but when I get there I see this sign saying they close MUCH earlier. Having accurate hours is a BASIC step for a business, and the fact they haven't corrected this in over a year tells me they don't respect customers' time. AVOID THIS PLACE.

Hojas has been one of my favorite tea shops for years. I started going to their San Pedro location in 2020. They have an amazing variety of hot and iced teas with a variety of blends. My favorite is the peaceful lavdendar which mixes Oolang tea, lavender and coconut milk. The absolute best.

Thanks to my niece Coco for introducing me to this place. I look forward to trying more of their food.

Blown away by my Americano and Avocado Toast this morning. My niece introduced me to this place. She kept raving how good it was and we never could connect to go together. Today it happened. So happy it did. The service there is very friendly and inviting. You feel like you are at a friend's home. Staff is very helpful and the food they make is AMAZING So don't be fooled by the small space because it gives a big punch of flavor and friendliness. Thanks, Jed

    Can't believe this cost $20

Went to give the fruit tart another try....it's less than half the size it was (but the price doesn't go down huh) and a small pint of salad = $20 :/ jeez. Really disappointed in the size of the fruit tart.

Green tea coconut fusion (hot) and peaceful lavender (cold). Love it!

Love coming here! Staff is so friendly, drinks are great, and food is on point! Really calm and cool vibe. I come here fairly often and I am always satisfied with my items, the service, and the wait time. If you have never heard of or had Hojas, you NEED to give them a try. There is also one in Wilmington and San Pedro.

Ask the Community - Hojas Tea House

Do you guys still use the loose tea leaf with filter tops? Last time I ordered a chai tea and it was a tea bag? Not sure if things have changed?

I'm wondering too! Last time it was pre packaged tea bag! The loose tea leaves and flowers is what made Hojas stand out. Hopefully it was just a inventory issue.

    Do they bring order curbside?

no you have to go inside

Do you have almond milk for those lactose intolerant?

For an extra charge, they offer the substitution of almond milk on their coffee menu.

Do you offer soy milk for tea?

I see that you can sub soy milk for an extra charge.

I took 3 sips and tossed it after the matcha made me nauseous, I nearly threw up on my drive home. Fortunately I had a cold water bottle in my car and had to take small sips of water to keep me from pulling over my car and throwing up. It was absolutely disgusting!!! I regret ever walking in and will NEVER go back. The service was also the worst in my experience, with so many great coffee/matcha shops around, please do not waste your time here and do not order a matcha unless you want to waste your time and money. When I first walked in the baristas had no interest in taking my order, both girls were in a heavy conversation about their personal stuff. One was facing me from a distance and the other near the register had her back to me. When they finally took a quick pause she asked for my order and they continued to talk to each other. So then I waited, and waited, and waited for my order. Another customer comes in and I noticed same thing happening, the girls there are much more interested in their conversation than they are working and helping customers. My order took much longer than expected by no surprise to me at this point, but not because it was busy but because the baristas continued to carry on their conversation. Needless to say my drink took much longer than expected since they continued to talk and couldn't care less about the customers. Please be forewarned, this place had zero service and prepared a matcha that made ME SICK! I hate this place!

A very welcoming vibe upon entry, we were greeted by a friendly couple who answered our questions about popular drink flavors. We decided to go with a Hot Cinnamon Dulce Latte and an Iced Blueberry Lavender Latte. While waiting, there were plenty of chairs, tables, a comfy couch and even a bar area to sit and relax. Tons of board games, books and wonderfully mellow music helps make the experience feel comforting and inviting. Our drinks were prepared quickly and shouted at the coffee bar for pickup. The presentation was great, but the flavors, out of this world! The Cinnamon Dulce Latte was OUTSTANDING. So good, in fact, that my girlfriend stole it from me! Not to worry, her Blueberry Lavender Latte was also top-notch, with a smooth, not-to-sweet flavor combination. Friendly staff (which comes with occasional karaoke renditions from the Bluetooth speakers), a chill vibe and outstanding drinks make this a top spot in the area for hardcore coffee lovers. Let's start with service: the woman at the front was very dry, quiet, and uninterested. We tried asking her if we could add cold foam or sweet cream to our drinks to make them sweeter, and she said it was only available on seasonal drinks. As an avid matcha latte consumer, this made zero sense to me. While I don't blame her bc she likely had nothing to do with that decision, she wasn't kind in relaying that information or trying to help me find something on the menu I may like. Her demeanor remained the same when my friend ordered his drink, and we both felt a very negative energy coming from this woman, simply put it didn't seem like she wanted to be there taking our order. This was around 1pm last Saturday (the 21st of March), so they had a decent amount of customers, but it wasn't some crazy morning rush. Forward to the drink : we grabbed our drinks which came out promptly. I tasted my matcha and just as I suspected due to the lack of sweetness, it just tasted like grassy chalk. I assumed that my friends latte would be better, as matcha can tend to have an earthy taste to it to begin with. Then I tried his... chalky and sour. Due to the lack of customization and the barista's attitude, we just took a couple sips and tossed our drinks. It was a super negative experience for a place I really really wanted to like. I think allowing people to use sweetener and cold foam on more than just seasonal lattes would be a great first start, and perhaps training the staff on appropriate customer interaction would also help. Loved the branding on this spot, but it seems like the people who work there don't want to be there and it really put a damper on the experience, and for a place so cute, the drinks and vibes should be top notch.
