Truly overpriced. Your coffee will be $10 there is no way getting around it. I tried their matcha and that was the worst decision. Welcome to the neighborhood! We found it kinda funny when we heard that CoffeeDrunk would be opening a Bixby Knolls location which is not very far from the Cal Heights location. However, we were also excited since this would be slightly more convenient for us. Though they've been in soft opening stages for a while, we spontaneously decided to stop by today, Grand Opening Day, while doing other business down the street. This location is more spacious than Cal Heights with more seating both indoor and outdoor. We were greeted with a warm welcome by the lovely cashier who was extremely helpful. I was interested in the Orange Cream Latte on their seasonal menu and asked if it could be made vegan. She checked the ingredients which confirmed that one of the ingredients, white chocolate, contained dairy. However, she made an excellent suggestion for a dairy-free swap: housemade coconut cream and housemade vanilla. This drink also contained espresso, almond milk, and muddled orange. Due to the special requests, she offered to make it herself to make sure that it remained dairy-free. When she brought it out to me, she asked me to taste it to make sure that I liked it. #139 in my Coffeeshop Chronicles. I was looking for a coffeeshop I could take my fur babies to without worrying about us dying in the heat, when I came across Coffee Drunk. Located in Bixby Knolls, Coffee Drunk is an open-air shop with a built-in patio and ample seating, a gorgeous pine green color scheme, and an interesting menu of specialty drinks. I ordered the On My Way and the Baby LA lattes from their specialty menu. The On My Way is made with their in-house salted pistachio syrup. To my dismay, the pistachio notes were overwhelming and inordinate, and I didn't much care for the taste. The Baby LA, on the other hand, was love at first sip! The housemade honey vanilla syrup was delicious, and the added touch of mint was subtle and blended well with the other flavors. The drinks are a bit small for the price, but I'd still be interested in returning to enjoy another coffee break with my dogs. ****************** My Ratings: 1 Star: Terrible; just thinking about it makes me angry. 2 Stars: Wasn't a fan so Not likely to return. 3 Stars: Meh. This is my new go to coffee shop whenever I am in the area, which is usually weekends. It does tend to get crowded on a weekend morning but that is usually what happens in a pretty cool coffee shop. The shop itself is pretty chill and has some cool artwork on the walls which act as a photo op in itself. The staff is great and always know what to recommend, especially when seasonal items are available. The coffee, is hands down amazing. Need I say more? My go to is the Instigator and is definitely a pick me upper. Especially after a long night before, definitely gets the blood flowing and wakes me up. I am also a fan of their matcha. It has a great taste and very refreshing. Definitely both drinks are my go to. The pastries are yummy and are vegan friendly so make sure you try something from their stash. The croissants are always fresh and they have some cool flavors too. There is a great selection on merchandise, too. They sell t-shirts, hats, stickers, and reusable coffee mugs for the ones who are always on the go. There are multiple locations throughout the LBC so no need to worry if this location is too packed. You can always try out a different one. All in all, I will forever come back to this place because it is such a vibe. I can unwind and refresh while sitting in the patio listening to some good music and drinking some good coffee. Can't wait to be back and hope to see you all there. The pastries were minimal options. They have 3 menus, seems like what they have daily and another for special time only. Went to CoffeeDrunk for the first time this week and loved it! I'd ordered their specialty, which was called the "Instigator". It's an iced espresso, shaken with maple & brown sugar. I had mine with almond milk. I found it rich, delicious, and refreshing on a warm day. I'd also ordered a couple pastries after the friendly barista working here told me about a BOGO deal. I can't recall exactly what they were, but one pastry contained passion fruit, and both were high quality and incredibly sweet. One of my top spot to grab a cup of joe but I must say there matcha here is straight fire. I usually get it with cinnamon and honey so highly recommended. Delicious coffee and super sweet, hip staff! They offered a free scoop of vanilla ice cream and special drinks for national ice cream day, so we ordered affogatos (espresso with a scoop of vanilla ice cream). How it worked-- we paid for the coffee and they threw in the ice cream scoop at no charge; an awesome perk for the day! You can taste the quality of the coffee and the ice cream was equally as tasty. Very cute little spot on Atlantic, right next to the Teacher Association and the diner on the corner. Street parking. Employees were very welcoming and polite, while also making a million drinks. It's a small location but nice to see it busy. Ordered the Imposter (their brown sugar latte) great flavor. I love when you can taste the coffee in the drink. Had some sweetness that didn't overwhelm the drink. Had great looking pastries from Nonas, I didn't try but a coworker had the bacon and chive croissant and said it was great. This was my second time here at the location. The first time I went , it was to-go. I asked for the on my way latte because I love their pistachio syrup! However, they forgot the pistachio syrup. Very kind enough to remake it for me but all I told them to do was add the syrup instead of having them remake it. The second time I stayed and it was early enough before the rush so I got a good seat inside. I am a person who needs a lot of space to work. I think I took up two or three seats because of all the stuff I had. Obviously I could condense but to make people aware it's kind of tight with space if there were people at every barstool. Outside, there was seating but the tables doesn't match the aesthetics. The tables looks like it's not cleaned and has dirt on them. And I saw that they can slide the entrance to close and use another door to exit, but when I was leaving, there were two people sitting on the table close to the exit and it was difficult for me to get out and leave because they had a stroller almost blocking the door. The main point is the positioning of the outdoor seating needs some work. But overall, it's a great coffee shop!! read more

A great choice for a particularly rainy afternoon. There is some seating inside that is counter style with some outlets, as well as a few short stools by the entrance. There is an outer patio which is covered, where on sunny or rainy days you will have shade or coverage. The baristas are so friendly, and go out of their way to make you feel welcomed.
