First, a heads-up: parking in the area can be a bit of a challenge, so plan ahead and expect to look for street parking. That said, once you arrive, everything runs impressively smoothly. You'll stand in line to place your order at the register, and then they'll seat you. There are two seating options, an indoor patio and an outdoor patio; both with a really cute, inviting vibe. What really stood out was the thoughtful Mother's Day touch. While we were in line, they offered champagne and gave out roses, white for mothers who are no longer with us and red for those who are. Such a beautiful and meaningful gesture. Once seated, drinks came out quickly, and the food followed shortly after. I was genuinely impressed with how efficient and well-organized everything was, especially given how busy it was. For food, I ordered the Dutch Baby, and my companion had the Bailey's Breakfast, both were delicious and well-prepared. Between the great food, charming decor, and amazing service, this place really delivered. I'll definitely be back.

Really love when you can enjoy food and the great weather at the same time. Service was great, the girl at the register and also the servers were friendly and helpful. Food and drink are priced pretty average. A matcha is $7, food ranges from $12-21. Some dishes are pricier but in this economy it's not crazy. I got a hot matcha and a pancake with a side of scrambled eggs. Hot Matcha (3/5) good matcha quality but too sweet. Pancake w/ berries and cream (4.5/5) nice and fluffy, cream had cinnamon and not too sweet. Eggs (4/5) fluffy and soft

The brisket and gravy were delicious, super hearty and satisfying without being too heavy. Even the eggs stood out--their bright orange color and rich taste made it clear they use high-quality ingredients. The atmosphere is such a standout--it has this charming, nostalgic "grandma's house" feel with fun decor that makes it feel cozy and unique. On top of that, the service was amazing from start to finish--so welcoming and attentive. Highly recommend checking this place out if you're looking for a memorable brunch experience.

A lot of what they serve feels homemade, which makes a difference. The ambiance has this cozy, old-school vibe, and the customer service has been consistently great every time I've gone. Plus, the portions are generous, definitely not leaving hungry. Prices are a bit higher than your typical breakfast spot, but honestly, it makes sense for the quality you're getting. It is a smaller space, so I recommend going early to avoid a wait or just plan ahead and make a little date out of it. There are cute shops nearby, so you can walk around while you wait. My favorites so far: the spicy chilaquiles and the steak and eggs. And listen, I'm not even a big meat eater, but I've ordered the steak and eggs three times in a row... that's how good it is. Highly recommend trying it at least once.

A New Era for Breakfast Bar (And not necessarily a better one)…read moreI've been a long-time fan of Breakfast Bar, but it's important for locals to know: this isn't the 'old' spot we remember. The vibe has shifted toward a more minimalist coffee cafe aesthetic, and the menu has seen a significant overhaul. The Food & Value: I was disappointed to see the old favorites go. The Chicken & Waffles, previously a staple with three wings, has switched to dark meat only (thighs) with zero substitutions. As someone who isn't a fan of dark meat, that was a major letdown. I opted for the Lemon Pancakes ($21), and while the presentation was stunning, the taste was underwhelming and the portion size was surprisingly small--my son's kids' meal actually had more food than mine. The Silver Lining: The service is still the highlight here. Our server, Jorge, was absolutely fantastic--attentive, kind, and professional. The entire staff was very nice, but unfortunately, the price point doesn't quite match the current portion sizes or flavor profile. It's sad to say, but this will likely be our last visit but best wishes to them

Came in with a small group early on a Wednesday afternoon maybe an hour before closing, and most of the tables were still filled with diners. We were seated right away in the way way back of the restaurant. The layout and decor of the place gives it a classic, borderline kitschy vibe. You can tell it's a place that's managed to hold its own for like 60 years (!!!). The server was friendly, overall service was prompt, and the portions were solid. I got the quiche of the day, which was ham and cheese, and it was amazing. It came with a side (salad was fresh and crisp) and a muffin -- their raspberry streusel muffin was so delicious and a perfect dessert to tie the meal together. I would definitely get this special again, and look forward to trying their other versions of both quiches and muffins. Others at my table got strawberry pancakes, a pastrami sandwich, and chicken fried steak. All food was devoured, so I take it that it was good. However, I really think that the baked goods make this place. So if you go, don't skip out on those.

Food was delicious and actually met the expectations of my memories. We did wait a little bit for a table, but the vibe was neighborly and it was obvious a lot of regulars were in today. I had the 1/2 sandwich special, I chose roast beef on squaw, French onion soup and a slice of lemon lush pie. My husband had the pastrami sandwich and our friend had the Russian omelet. We can all recommend all our choices as there wasn't a bad bite to be had among us. Thanks for exceeding expectations, I'll be back for a cheese pocket and slice of sour cream pecan coffee cake. There were no place settings or sugar on the table. The only thing that was on the table was a single unused place setting that had been left from the previous guest. It had an overturned fork and a knife. I had to ask for a spoon and sugar and then I waited another five minutes for them to arrive while my six dollar coffee was getting cold. When the spoon and sugar arrived, the spoon was stuck to the napkin on the handle end. At this point, I just wanted my caffeine and given that the sticky stuff on the spoon was at the bottom, I chose not to ask for a replacement. Fresh utensils never arrived, forcing me to use the leftover utensils across the table from the previous guest. In addition to the sugar not being provided on the table, there was no salt, pepper, or hot sauce brought out. One shouldn't have to ask for these things as they should already be on a well stocked table. I had the Benedict for breakfast. I wouldn't really call it a Benedict. The eggs were overcooked, and the yolks were dry. The bacon was so crispy and overdone that it was hard to break in half with a fork. The cilantro dressing was really good, but with the eggs being dry and the bacon being overcooked, the cilantro dressing and the English muffin were really the only things left to enjoy. My water glass was not refilled until I had been sitting in front of an empty plate for 20 minutes. No signs of the waitress to get a check. Having a table ready with place settings and condiments on it should be the bare minimum. Why it takes 15 minutes to get coffee I don't know. Don't offer eggs Benedict on a menu if you're gonna cook the eggs to within inch of their life. I'm sure the food's really good if it's cooked right. The service leaves a lot to be desired.
