The food is really good and plentiful. Since it was brunch, I got the Mimosa Flight which is 3 mimosas of orange juice, cranberry juice and pineapple juice - so fun! I just wish I had chosen a different dish than the Divorsados, not because they weren't good because they delicious but when our table got the French Toast dish with ice cream, I knew I should have gotten the waffle. Tried to go to Gaucho's Beach but once we were seated my cousin looked over the menu and realized she wanted pancakes. While initially annoyed, I am now appreciative of my cousin's lack of preparation. I'll say that it's cozy inside. If you have a group of more than 4 or 5, I wouldn't pick this location. They do have outdoor seating as well but weathers been weird lately so do as you will. Again, it's cozy. But the food was delicious. We brought my mom who is a notoriously picky eater and judges everything and she loved the pancakes and one of my margaritas. I ordered a margarita flight (I got pretty buzzed on the precipice of drunk and they were tasty) and huevos rancheros (take my advice and order an extra egg). My mom had 3 pancakes with an egg and bacon (I also ate one of her pancakes... they were so good). My cousin also ordered that pancakes and a mimosa flight (she was in a similar state to me). First time I came service was great, atmosphere was vibey (they had Spanish music playing), and the food was delicious! My sister was in town so i said I know the perfect spot! Unfortunately, this was not the move. The host sat us right away. The server took a while to come and take our drink/ food order. I ordered an iced strawberry horchata and received a warm drink instead. I asked them to switch it and by the time the correct drink arrived so did the food. The sever never came back until it was time to pay. The gentleman with the blondish hair was the one taking care of us. (He deserved my tip!) I want to say he was the busser. The individual I believed to be the manager would make eye contact and see we had no drinks but would go to other tables and check on them. The food was delicious still so thank you to the cooks! But the elevator music was not it. Overall, I will NOT be coming back. We came at 8:45 am on a Saturday morning. We were the first people here. Greeted immediately upon entering. This is a super fun place because they change the menu so check out their Instagram to find out what their monthly specialities are!! I ordered the Michelada with Modelo. Very refreshing, and yes I know it's 8:45 in the morning but I'm on vacation! Boyfriend had a flight of coffees: abuelita which was very chocolatey, pistachio( which tasted soo good!!) and marzipan! This is my kinda spot and I wish we lived here cause I'd be here all the time. We arrived at our hotel and rooms were not ready so we decided to stroll around town and find a coffee shop to hang for a bit. We walked in here and they had the house music blasting away, a group of gals were having a birthday party and it was super cute inside. My girlfriends and I came here yesterday for brunch and we had a good experience with our food. They have mimosa flights, Michelada flights, and margarita flights. Madres is ok. I stopped by when they opened one morning during the week. The pictures are better than the actual ambiance. Possibly because they'd just opened and we were the first guests but the customer service was missing. It was almost like they were irritated we were there so early. We had to ask for everything from water to silverware and boxers and the waitress had a bit of a tude when we asked for more boxes than she brought. Maybe we need to go on the weekend and experience the mimosa, coffee flights and crowds. Food.. my boyfriend is very particular about his pancakes and rarely likes people's cakes. After placing our order, we waited about 20-25 minutes for our food, only for it to arrive cold and tasting like it had been sitting in the back. The steak and eggs were ordered medium well, yet came out extremely red and undercooked. We sent it back, and even the second time it was still not cooked correctly. Had the opportunity to try Madre's Brunch yesterday morning after my morning run with friends. I ordered the 2 egg breakfast with bacon and sourdough toast. My friend ordered the Birria Chilaquiles that by the way looked amazing! The service was a bit slow at first we waited about 10 minutes after being seated for our menus, and another 10 minutes for our water and to order drinks. Speaking of drink we ordered the classic mimosa flights they were delicious, I did think they were a little over priced for only 3 mimosas in the flight but I guess I've seen worse! They had a special Dubai chocolate pancake and we couldn't resist getting it. Pancakes were huge, and the toppings made it very decadent. My partner loves pancakes and he loved it! This rating is partially my fault--I came here for what I wanted vs what I needed. I'm in Long Beach for a conference so I needed a healthy breakfast and WiFi to get some work done. First, upon entering the establishment there was no air conditioning. Pretty stuffy so I requested to sit outdoors. Is the south the only region of the US that does air conditioning?! I was initially attracted to Madres by the delicious-looking photos of their breakfast, but I didn't order any of their fun coffee flights, waffles, pancakes, or French toast, so I don't feel like I can speak to what they do best. I instead went for the fruit salad--I barely ate any of it because the fruit was mediocre, there was no need for the mounds of nuts, and the yogurt/granola was not good. No one knew the WiFi password and the password I was given by 2 different servers didn't work. I tried multiple iterations they suggested with no luck, so I had to settle for my personal hotspot. The last miss here was that there were nuts in my latte, no warning. I understand that marzipan is an almond paste, but what happened to just using flavored syrup? The service was slow, they don't believe in ketchup apparently, it's very loud, and parking is not great. My friends wanted mimosas so they shared the large mimosa flight which came with 12 mimosas. I decided on the Specialty Latte Flight which came with a Pistachio Latte, Mazapan Latte, Horchata latte, and Abuelita (Mexican hot chocolate) latte. I don't like Abuelita or Horchata so I asked if they could sub out for the flavors that came on the regular latte flight. I asked to replace them with hazelnut and dulce de leche, but for whatever reason the barista told our waiter that they couldn't do that. I honestly feel like that didn't make any sense, especially when I said I'd pay the specialty flight price still. That was very disappointing, so I ended up just getting double pistachio and double mazapan. Why would they be able to do double but not sub out, I don't know. The restaurant is on a corner, parking was minimal, and there was only metered parking available. The restaurant itself is super cute. Pink is definitely a big part of the theme. We went around noon and sat inside by the window, which was nice because we could people watch while we ate. I kept it pretty simple and got the two egg breakfast. It came with two scrambled eggs, toast, and a choice of bacon or sausage. I decided to get both, added a pancake on the side, and got breakfast potatoes. Both of my friends ordered the chilaquiles. One got green sauce, the other got red, and both were topped with steak. I really enjoyed my breakfast. It was super simple but very filling. Both of my friends liked their chilaquiles, but they did wish the chips weren't so soggy. I also got a super cute white mocha latte with an intricate design on top, and it was delicious.
