While driving home, we noticed this coffee shop and I'm so happy we decided to stop by!…read more Coffee 8/10 We ordered an iced cafe de olla and a quad Ibarra mex mocha. Both were soo flavorful. I will say, the cafe de olla is very spice forward. I taste a lot of cloves and star anise. A bit different than others I've had but I really liked it. The mex mocha was smooth and rich. I did see that their slushies are highly rated and now that it's getting hot, we'll def be back to try them! Food 10/10 They don't have food items on their menu but there are baked goods! We ordered a cream croissant looking muffin and a chocolate chip cookie. Both were warmed up and were absolutely delicious. Vibes/Ambiance : 10/10 We came on a Friday morning and it wasn't too busy. There were people working there as they have free wifi and outlets. The decor and vibe is cute! They have art on the walls, pictures, plants, community flyers/events, and statements that make you feel safe and at home. The staff is so friendly and welcoming too! There is a little parking lot right next to the shop and we didn't find it hard to find a spot. There is a park next door so I can imagine on the weekends, parking might be a bit tricker. Loved that we found a local gem like Patria and will def be back!

Menu is simple with the classics (espresso, americanos, cappuccinos, and lattes) and some speciality coffees like the Ibarra Mex Mocha. Prices are pretty reasonable - especially for the quality. It was busy when I went in so wait time was about 10-15 mins after ordering. I also bought one of their syrups - not really sure how much I paid for it but maybe about $15? That was a little pricey but the taste was good too. A little heavy on the spices, but I prefer it.

My husband and I came here pretty late, I would've liked to try their churros and other desserts that looks super delicious, but wasn't feeling it when we visited. We just opted to get a large horchata to share. I was not really a fan. Their horchata is super, super freaking sweet. I've definitely had better horchata elsewhere. The price and quantity is fair I think, but I'll have to try other things on their menu to see if just the horchata is not to my taste. Interior is very clean and spacious. This place is very well decorated, with art and merchandise around the store. However, it took quite a while before my order was taken even when no one was in front of me. Kind of just awkwardly stood there and took my phone out because no one came to take my order. Service was nice though when someone finally came over to take my order, and I got my drink really quick. There's a little bit of parking available, you may have an issue grabbing a spot on a typical day I think. There is a convenient drive-thru though. Will try to check this place out again whenever I'm nearby, I'm hoping other drinks will be better.

(Started coming here Nov 2023)…read more 88 Keys Coffee is truly a gem in Lakewood! It's the kind of local mom-and-pop shop you just want to support again and again. One of the things I love most is how they actively highlight other local businesses and even partner with nonprofits that serve the community--it really feels like they care about more than just coffee. The space itself is clean, welcoming, and super comfortable. There's always great music playing, the AC keeps it cool, and the bathroom is consistently spotless (which honestly matters more than people admit). Whether you're meeting up with friends to catch up or need a place to focus, there are plenty of seating options for both socializing and getting work or studying done. Plus, WiFi is available, which is a huge bonus. On weekends, they often host small vendors, which adds such a fun, community-driven vibe. While their food menu isn't huge, they make up for it with special days featuring things like empanadas or burritos. They also usually have baked goods on hand, including gluten-free donuts , which is awesome for those with dietary restrictions. Overall, 88 Keys Coffee is more than just a coffee shop--it's a community hub with a great atmosphere, friendly people, and a mission you can feel good about supporting. Highly recommend.

I like the bigger community seating style table as well as the living room set up and individual tables as well. Nicley done to accommodate a single person or a group. We ordered a pastry, cortado and a chai latte. Pastry wasn't anything special pretty standard coffee shop pasties, the cortado was pretty good but the Chai left me with a "meh" feeling. Very watered down with how much milk was used. I would have liked to taste more Chai. Other than that not bad and it's nice to see that Lakewood has a few coffee shops out there we can visit. Would we come back.. we have our favorites but if we are in the area sure why not. Beats Starbucks or any big box name.
