Great Tacos! Service is good. Located in a shopping center for accessible parking. Coke company products. They take Zelle, Venmo, Card. Indoor and outdoor seating available. Menu is very straightforward. One mest Carne Asada. They do offer Keto and Veggie options as well ( see pictures provided.)

Every now I think of this place and I crave their "perro taco". Perro in Spanish is dog; but don't worry - the meat is carne asada steak. What they call a taco is actually an open-faced burrito that's filled with creamy beans, perfectly grilled carne asada, cheese browned from their flat top, and some really great Sonoran style flour tortillas. The "taco combo" runs a little over $11; however, it's extremely filling. I spend a little more to get "extra meat", to balance out the balance with the beans. My wife likes to get a quesadilla on the side for $3, which comes with their perfect tortillas and cheese. I believe that tortillas are an underrated component in a perfect taco/burrito, and the quality of the tortillas here are top-notch. I think people are still sleeping on this place and I highly recommend that you check this out at Cerritos Towne Center.

Taco itself seems to be missing something. The tortilla itself is amazing. The texture and the sturdiness is really different from other tortillas. I would come back only to buy tortillas, as the actual taco n toppings are underwhelming in my opinion. No bathroom inside, and it's near the movie theaters.

at first i thought i couldn't get around to Perro Taco cuz of this crowd

Firstly, me and a coworker wandered in here on a whim. We were aiming for that ayce mediterranean buffet across the plaza but it was like $30 or $40 something obscene for a weekend lunch that we werent even sure would be good. And CTC seems to be limping along, the food stores close and go every few years. So we were not expecting much from this "random" placed what kind of taco is this but were starving and our alternatives are islands, an empty sushi place, starbucks, islands and movie popcorn Perro Taco $11 Let me confess upfront i had very low expectations that id like this style of taco. the flat open up tostada looking kind, and i hate grilled crispy cheese on anything (melted into things is great. grilled to color change crunchy hate. maybe i have a slight sensory disorder not sure). I WAS WRONg. THIS IS AWESOME. Its like a fluffly kinda fat tortilla with almost mozarella cheesey texture and i lava it. The asada and guac and salsa and onions on top? phenomenal. if you fold it up like a giant singular taco, u can get alllll the flavors together and its AH AH AHsUM!! Without the beans though. they give you like a 2 to 1 bean to meat ratio and its just filler. Another gripe is how much liquid pools, especially if u took it with beans its like 6 napkins worth of soaking up oil/liquid. I mean i guess u could drink it but i like my hands mostly uncovered in liquid so biting into a squirting taco is unpreferred. 1.Fold the entire thing. Tilt it (oil will pour out the other side) 2.Take a bite of giant flour cheesy asada taco 3.take a bite of radish to clear the spiciness 4.repeat until full. Its in a single serve togo container so handy as is. I can barely finish 1 of these tacos. it is alot. -april2026 update- i guess it varies cuz this last time way less meat so i was fully able to finish one, but wasnt hungry for more so its all good

This is our third time here and it's always been a great service. The Taco Perro is really good and filling. Can't wait to try again.

I wasn't familiar with Sonoran-style tacos from Northern Mexico, so I decided to try their signature Perro Taco and carne asada was the only protein option. I really enjoyed the chewy flour tortilla with its layer of grilled cheese. The portion of meat, salsa, and guacamole was generous and flavorful. The only thing I didn't love were the white beans, which were a bit too much for me, so I ended up picking them off. Hopefully, they can be omitted on my next visit. There's plenty of outdoor seating, and the service was fast and friendly.

Went in for a quick and small bite and ended up leaving HELLA full and it was only one TACO HAHA Customer service is great and I really enjoyed the salsa. I'd come back for the salsa ALONE!!!

Perro Exquisite Taco living up to the hype. Great welcoming from the moment you come through the doors. The next thing is the aroma of all their fresh ingredients filling the room. Order came fast and did not disappoint! Pictures will back up what I'm saying. Will definitely come back for more.

Sorry I bit into the quesadilla LOL! I remember this used to be a Subway back in high school 10 years ago. The cashier was super helpful towards my girlfriend and I and recommended the Perro taco meal. This meal is SO GOOD!! Since this was our first time, the cashier hooked us up with a free quesadilla! I didn't take a photo of the taco because my girlfriend ate it HAHA but the quesadilla is soooo good! 10/10 service and I'll be back here soon!!

Tried this place after randomly seeing a review of it on insta. Solid 8/10 except for the flan haha. I would ask for some more peppers if you can handle the spice and it pushes the taco to a 9/10 with the salsa poured on! 1 is superrrr filling. The tortilla itself is good!

Perro Exquisite Taco is a Sonoran-style taco spot that makes tacos as big as one's head. Had this on our to-try list for a while and decided to come here on a Tuesday evening. This location is inside the Cerritos Towne Center. Parking is plentiful and easy. Upon entering, we were greeted by a staff member. He was kind enough to walk us through the menu. We ordered a Perro Taco to share. Seems like there us a Taco Tuesday special, and we got the taco for $10. The taco came out quickly. The portion size is fair for the price. There is a good heaping of guacamole on top. The tortilla had a nice chew and the carne asada was flavorful and tender. We felt the ratio of beans to other filling ingredients was off and there were too many beans. More onions and cilantro would be nice too. Overall, giving Perro Exquisite Taco a 4/5. Service is good. It's a small place with a few tables and bar seats, so I can see it being hard to dine-in during rush hour. The food is solid and worth trying.

    Breakfast taco and cheese quesadilla

Excellent food and very friendly, quick service! Very clean inside too. Was greeted warmly by the employees, and since it was my first visit they took the time to explain the menu to me. These tacos are huge, 1 lb each. I had the breakfast taco and also had a quesadilla. What makes Perro's unique is definitely the tortilla. Handmade from Tijuana, it's worth coming here just to try. Salsa had a kick but not overly spicy. Everything overall was delicious. This place was a gem, I highly recommend.

Had this place bookmarked for a while since their original location as a stand in Cudhay. So was super exited when the brick & mortar opened in Cerritos. Stopped by for work lunch, finding the place can be confusing, its in the little outdoor area in Cerritos Town Center. I have had Sonoran style Tacos before, so familiar with the use of a large Flour tortilla, guac, and other toppings such as beans(not unusual). Place is super clean, not many people during my visit. Placed my order through the touch screen, server did answer a few questions but was not very friendly, just running through the motions. Yo.... I was soooo disappointed. How can you have so many toppings = bland taste? How can you mess up this delicious blend of ingredients? The Bad: Beans. So many beans, promise felt a little uncooked. So uncooked they firm on the bite. Salsa was not spicy, but also lacked flavor a bit. Guac was fresh but lacking taste. The Good: Tortilla was yummy. Steak was ok, a little under seasoned. How do you mess up the only thing you have in the menu besides a quesadilla? So many better choices, try Tacos La Rueda in Lakewood for a better more authentic version of the Perro Taco.

Do they have taco Tuesday all da?

Good question, but I was there on the weekend and didn't see any sign for Tuesday specials. Anyway one taco is the size of a regular burrito so that was enough for me.

This place is nestled into a small strip mall with a couple other restaurants located in it kind of tucked away not hard to find, but you would miss it pretty easy, it was either the owner and his mom or his wife and they both seem nice. They took the order they made the order and they brought out the order so it looks like a hard-working family. Now onto the food !! My soup was good and I could tell that it was fresh because it took about 20 minutes to make and nobody else was in the restaurant. I appreciate the attention to detail, but for me the broth was just lacking. Something was definitely missing in the flavor department. My 10 year old son ordered the Carne Asada quesadilla and I had a small piece of that, which was actually pretty good as the tortilla was nice and fluffy and very soft. The meat in the quesadilla was also tender and not tough which also helped out Not saying I wouldn't come back to this place and give it another try ,but the soup for me was definitely lacking what I was looking for and I've had better albondigas soup at other places.

So in the meantime we needed a Scooby snack :p The Mexican spot next to Thai bbq was closed for the holiday. So I started calling around because my mom needed her carne asada tacos! Called around and I remember I had Los consomes on my list and they were open YAY. I ordered two carne asada street tacos, a queso birria ,a queso asada taco and chips and salsa. I was raised in Cerritos so I know Artesia very well and made my way over from Thai bbq. Walked in, nice clean little mom and pop. Seems like the guy was the chef and cashier. I didn't realize there was a little bell to let them know you're there so I stood around for a good minute til I pressed it lol. For safety, I'd say they should have something that makes a noise when you first walk in. Anyhow, he came out, rung me up and food was packed and ready. Got home and tore into the bag. The chips definitely tasted made to order. Extremely fresh! The salsa was sooooo good. He asked if I wanted the hot sauce and of course I did. Even my mom indulged and she usually can't do spicy. It was a perfect amount of spice. She said her tacos were the softest, not soggy tacos she ever had. The meat was perfect and plentiful. The queso tacos were simple and delicious. No dried out tortillas here! The Birria was nice and soft. Their meat was perfectly cooked. Not tough or a crazy chew to it. My mom said the chips were addicting. We were full just off our tacos and some chips. I needed a nap LOL. They have a nice straightforward menu. Not a million things, just enough options to keep you interested for multiple visits. Great service from a hardworking family I bet. I can't wait to go back and try their soups, even with this summer heat I wish them much success:)
