Who knew this Mexican spot in the middle of a town filled with Asian and Indian food would be this amazing! Their tacos were really good quality and their quesotacos were filled! What I really enjoyed was their Birria Ramen. It has goat AND beef. Yum. The staff there was incredibly sweet and friendly as well. Service was just top notch. Our cousin was from out of the country and hasn't had this kind of Mexican food yet (she tried Taco Bell, which we know doesn't constitute as "Mexican" food). They explained to her the menu and what to expect, and was very patient. I give it to them for their service alone because they were so sweet. Prices were decent too. Not bad for the quality food you get. Very much worth it and I definitely see myself coming back for more and recommending it to other people!

4.5 stars. I had driven by Los Consomes multiple times on the way to 99 Ranch, and decided to finally try it out since I love soups. The interior was much smaller than I anticipated, with just a few tables. Order and pay at the counter, but your food will be brought out to you if you dine in. The interior decor was simple, but with a clever pun on the wall. Obviously, they have lots of soups on the menu, but some other non-soup dishes too. We ordered the albóndigas (meatball) soup and menudo, plus a chipotle pork taco and a slice of chocoflan. We were also given a complimentary potato flauta to try (as a sample for an upcoming new menu item). The taco was flavorful but pricey. The soups were definitely the highlight of the meal, piping hot and tasty, plus served in ceramic bowls just like in Mexico. The homemade salsa and chocoflan were also excellent. Prices were fair overall. Some of the plates/bowls were slightly chipped, which is bad luck in Chinese culture, if I am being superstitious. Service was very friendly and the lady was bilingual. There was an Asian duo dining before us (makes sense given the area) who said "gracias" with a cute accent on the way out. I really enjoyed the food and would love to come back to try more soups! Wishing this small business the best of luck as a Mexican restaurant in a highly Asian neighborhood (good thing Asians also love soup)!

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this restaurant! They have some of the best Mexican food I've had in a very long time. So far, we have tried: Birria Ramen - This fusion dish really is the best of both worlds. The meat was tender, the broth full of bold flavors & noodles cooked perfectly. 10 Stars!! Quesatacos - Both the Al Pastor & Carne Asada are delicious between the layer of cheese and corn tortilla. Be sure to ask for a cup of broth for dipping ;) 10 More Stars!! Super Fries - The best version of loaded fries you will ever have, we picked Al Pastor for the meat & the fries were cooked just right crisp on the outside and tender on the inside... 10 Stars!! How can everything be 10 Stars you ask? I don't know but it is :) Try and save room for dessert because they have Choco Flan! If you don't know this treat it's chocolate cake with a layer of flan on top... And I love!!!!!!!!!! There is also a selection of soda including my favorite Jarritos pineapple :) Los Consomes is located in a shopping center so there is plenty of safe well-lit parking. The restaurant has ample seating and is spotless.

Yesterday was cold and it was the perfect weather for pozole. The place we were going to go was closed. This provided the opportune time to try this place which has been on my list! It's a small place in a shopping plaza in Artesia. The plaza has ample parking. The staff were so welcoming!! We ordered 2 pozoles and 2 cocas de botella to drink. They provided chips and salsa. The salsa is made with chile de arbol and their own special touches. They said this batch was not as spicy as it usually is and they could bring us spicier. Since I was dining with someone who does not really like super spicy, we continued with the salsa provided. It had just the right heat and a unique delicious flavor which paired nicely with the chips. The pozole hit rhe spot! If you're looking for an authentic spot that serves a variety of caldos (soups), tacos and other Mexican dishes check them out! Price was a bit higher but I feel like everything has gone up! However, the amount of food and quality and service was well worth it! We will be back soon!! Thank you to the owners and staff that took care of us last night!!

If you're in the area, you need to stop by this place. One of the best quesatacos out there. It was so flavorful. It was made hot & fresh. I enjoyed it so much. I wasn't that hungry, so I only got one to try. If I was hungry, I prob could eat a few. Will definitely get it again but without onions when in the area. I am not sure what the price range is for tacos nowadays. To me, it was kinda expensive for one. I think almost $5 for one. $3.99 for one and then tax...it was really good tho. Service was wonderful.

I found this little spot driving in the area and craving tacos. I was definitely not disappointed. The tacos were spot on and the asada fries were very addicting I probably ate more than I normally would have The prices were surprisingly low compared to the quantity and quality of their food. Their customer service was exceptional.

I happened to stumble across Los Consumes when I was in the plaza for other reasons. Just opened 6 months, I was excited to see birria on the menu! My son picked a carne asada burrito with everything ($9.99) and I got the birria plate ($12.99); both to go. The burrito is the size of a swaddled baby and try as he could, my son finished 2/3 before he tapped out. I appreciated the grilled tortilla which helped the structure of the burrito and the sheer volume it held; lol. Very tasty and the rice and beans were delicious. The birria was a miss for me and I don't think I'll get it again but we'll definitely be back for tacos, caldos, and burritos. I spied churros on the menu too! Much luck to your future success, Los Consomes! I hope you do well and are around for the long haul.

Never been before. Had 4 quesatacos. Birria, al pastor, carnitas, asada. Al pastor was the best of them imo. All very good. Got a side of consome and was good too. Will be back.

I was in the mood for birria so I came here. It was fine. The restaurant is clean. And the cashier was friendly.

My stomach & my hunger eloped. They came here to consome the marriage. https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=Cbu5EoWvQSKeuSVH6_wStQ&userid=xsT4KZTu_KnOVavtuXn4RA Occupying the former home of an Indian restaurant, Los Consomes recently opened in Artesia, and I was looking forward to trying out their food. Birria quesataco- https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=otafEUZQabA12u28QngFQw&userid=xsT4KZTu_KnOVavtuXn4RA Stretchy, ooey gooey cheese on the inside, crunchy, burnt cheese on the outside, the birria quesataco was packed with flavor. Ample amounts of tender meat, the house hot sauce really kicked it up a notch. Los consomes- https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=6LHUAaU5npL26xWjcb_y4Q&userid=xsT4KZTu_KnOVavtuXn4RA Perusing the consome options, I thought best to order the namesake "Los Consomes". Seasoned, savory & really good, the "Los Consomes" had liberal amounts of meat, accompanied with tortillas. Rice & beans are included, upon request, at no extra charge. I found my rich bowl of sumptuous food pleasing & highly enjoyable. I do think I'd order it without rice, next time, as the rice sucked up the delectable broth. https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=KWkHGLedkB5is-O33SRrDg&userid=xsT4KZTu_KnOVavtuXn4RA Service was good. I didn't wait long for my order to be ready. The small dining room has booths & tables for customers. Los Consomes is located in the shopping plaza directly behind 99 Ranch Market. Sabroso! The food at Los Consomes was delightful, and has me wanting more. I very much enjoyed the birria quesataco & bowl of "Los Consomes". A filling, hearty & flavorful lunch was what I experienced during my first visit. I'm ready to come back, and whether it's their caldo de res, pozole, or another go with the "Los Consomes", I know I'll leave well fed & happy. https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=4-JLFA_CX9JcRA27dAdlrg&userid=xsT4KZTu_KnOVavtuXn4RA

I ordered through Yelp and my food was ready in a timely manner. I ordered a burrito and nachos. I wish I would've sat in the restaurant to eat my meal because the food is so delicious. I wish more people would eat there. The place is empty when I arrived there was a young lady there. I don't know if she's the daughter of the chef, but she was on the telephone and didn't say hi. I had a Carna Sada burrito and El Pastore nachos, I think. I recommend this place

Food was made fast and delicious. This is definitely a hidden gem. We tried the pork tamales, asada quesadilla, asada quesataco, a taco asada, a taco al pastor, and the fried potato taco. All was enjoyed. Service was stellar. The ambiance really takes you in with the music and decor. We will be repeat customers.

The consome I ordered was put in a styrofoam cup and the lid melted due to the heat and spilled everywhere in the bag.

I ordered the quesanirria tacos which were tasty but the cheese and tortilla in it wasn't crispy like the photos I've seen on other Yelp reviews. But it tasted good at least. I also ordered the fried potato tacos. Was basically a hard taco shell with some mashed potatoes in it. Maybe the deep fried part was only the taco shell? I ordered chips and salsa which there were none but that's partly my fault for not double checking the order but one would assume the order would be complete. Golden rule before picking up food always double check all items are included. Also ordered the al pastor burrito. Was ok. Meat was well seasoned and the flavors were good. Wish there was onions or cilantro or anything else fresh. Per my picture I ordered a side consumme to dip the quesabirria tacos and the lid melted and spilled all over the bag. I was able to salvage it but had to strain out the melted plastic bits of the lid. Clearly not a good delivery vessel for hot liquid. Overall items were missing and expectations were not met with the lack of crispy cheese and tortilla on the tacos and the along with the consumme botch I'll give them 3 stars since the food had good flavor.

It's our first time at the restaurant location as we used to go to the truck before. Here's what we ordered: Bean and cheese burrito: honestly a bit disappointed. This is more like a rice burrito as there was not enough beans or cheese. Flavor was a bit lacking. Crispy potato: definitely delicious and crispy! Black bean pepper: our favorite as the texture was on point but the cilantro sauce with cojita cheese made the dish. Crispy green potato: similar to the crispy potato taco but definitely better due to the cilantro sauce. The potato filling was also amazing and the taco overall was presented beautifully. Burnt fries: crispy fries with aioli sauce was the perfect combo - one of my favorite dishes here! Overall, this is our favorite taco spot and we'll always come back here.

They are located in Bellflower and have street parking and a couple spots behind the restaurant. I don't think I saw indoor seating, but they definitely have outdoor seating. There was a small line and others showed up after, definitely is a hotspot! There were plenty of people eating in their cars in the parking lot too! I ordered the Yandy taco with Carne Asada and their agua frescas are homemade. I got the cucumber lime. The food was out in less than 10 minutes and I was excited to try it so I dined in my car. I asked for their spiciest salsa, which was the red one. First off the drink is delicious and not too sweet. I would love to try their other flavors. I believe they had Horchata, Jamaica and pineapple. The taco was delicious, it's like your typical crunchy American taco but better! It's no Taco Bell! They were generous with the toppings, and I will say that the cashier was friendly and explain to me the difference between their regular country taco and the Yandy, which comes with the works - sour cream, lettuce, generous amount of yellow cheese, and meat. The red sauce was perfect for that taco. I would say these tacos need to be eaten immediately so they don't get soggy. Now I get why people are eating in their car. I will definitely be coming back and spreading the word. They have great combo packs too that are great for a potluck or dinner night. Great spot!
