    "Salsas"

My experience here somehow managed to go from annoying to straight-up ridiculous. I called in what should have been a very simple order: Cali Fries with pollo and another with half adobada, half asada. Immediately I'm told the cook "portions out the meat for every single thing," so they can't possibly split it. Fine. So I adjust and say I'll just do adobada fries and add an asada taco. Then suddenly it's, "Actually, we can only cook two meats at one time for an order." I'm sorry... what? It's fries and a taco, not a five-course tasting menu. After going in circles over basic proteins, I gave up and ordered pollo and adobada just to end the conversation. It doesn't stop there. When I arrive, I'm informed I can only pick three salsas per meal, from the grand total of three they offer, and anything extra is an upcharge. So you're rationing salsa like it's liquid gold... and there are only three to begin with? I took one of each, because apparently that's the max luxury experience here. Then I get home and, despite all the dramatic back-and-forth about which meats are allowed to coexist, they STILL get it wrong. Instead of pollo and adobada, I get asada and adobada, literally the combo I originally tried to order and was told was such a problem. The asada was fine, nothing special. The adobada was so salty it was borderline inedible. And those tightly controlled salsas? Completely average. Between the meat "rules," the salsa policing, and the incorrect order, this was a total waste of time and money. If you're going to make ordering this complicated, at least get it right.

    Huge burrito

Usually don't leave food reviews as you can see from my profile but this place was too good not to leave one. Got the Carne Asada Cali burrito and it was so delicious! Meat and fries were cooked perfectly and the salad took it over the top. Very generous portion too. Will definitely be back to try their tacos.

    Outdoor Seating

They are indeed open, generous on sauce. Fairly friendly, my cali burrito tasted amazing! Just as good as the other branches. I wish they had shrimp. Excellent food! Their current hours are M-F 11-6pm Not midnight**

Generous portion of carne asada fries were crispy and layered with cheese in middle. The lady in front is always very nice and welcoming.

On August 26th, I visited Cali Tacos for the first time. When I arrived, I initially thought the place was called "Tacos," but then I saw another sign that said "3 Pesos." Nonetheless, I proceeded inside the restaurant. The place is very small with minimal tables, but they do have outside seating. As I studied the menu, I noticed the name "Cali Tacos" and a corresponding website, so I figured this was the name of the restaurant. Their menu is simple and straight to the point, which I love. I ordered their Westside Taco Al Pastor with everything, a coke, and the total came to $6.06. While waiting for my order to arrive, I noticed that my receipt had another name for the restaurant, "Taco Kings." I had to Google map the restaurant and physically search for its location to confirm that the place is indeed called Cali Tacos. My order took about 10 minutes and oh my god, it was huge! In my opinion, the amount of meat and the size of the taco was worth my money. The taco was delicious and savory, the meat was perfectly cooked, and the guacamole tasted freshly made. Halfway through eating my taco, I thought to myself, "Why isn't this place more popular? This taco is delicious!" I can only imagine what the rest of the food on their menu looks like and tastes like. In conclusion, this place deserves more recognition in my opinion because the staff provided me excellent customer service, the chef nailed the taco because it was delicious, and I will definitely be recommending this place to my friends and family. The only advice I give to the owner is to advertise "Cali Tacos" outside their restaurant for better recognition. I will be coming back.

I've been here before, and they never disappoint. The ambiance is very nice, with good Mexican music and a family-friendly atmosphere. We ordered some Aguachiles, Guacamole, Ceviche de Camarón, Camarones de Cilantro, Carne, a la Mexicana, which comes with tortillas and consume. The food was delicious, and the beers were cold as always. My total bill was $265.99 with tip, and it was worth it. Although this place is always pricey, you're paying for quality, not quantity. I am thinking about returning to watch a couple of World Cup games because I know the vibe will be fantastic.

Great burritos, their salsa tastes amazing, and huge portions…read more I got a wet veggie burrito, half and half sauce, and it was a treat. It came with 4 tostada shells and salsa verde. Food was good, the burrito sauces were tasty and flavored well. I could easily share this portion size with another person. The hostess handling patrons and customers was super sweet to work with and order from. She did an amazing job handling customers that came into the restaurant. The restaurant itself was quite packed, get there early to secure a seat or (see if you can) call ahead of time. The price for the burrito was more expensive than typical places which is why I'd rate it 4/5 stars, otherwise 5 star food!

The atmosphere was extremely dark -- almost too dark. The restaurant itself is small and narrow,…read morewhich gives it the feel of a dim alleyway, decorated with colorful Mexican festive banners hanging overhead. Some people may enjoy that style, but for me it felt overly dark and somewhat cramped. The service was okay. Nothing particularly good or bad stood out. As for the food, based on previous reviews, I expected something above average or even excellent. That really was not the case. If you regularly eat authentic Mexican food, the food here is simply okay. It is not bad, but it is also not especially good. I ordered the combination plate with two tacos, one enchilada, rice, and beans. The other person ordered one enchilada, one taco, rice, and beans. Since we eat Mexican food frequently, we have a solid idea of what good Mexican food should taste like. The food here was decent enough to eat, but nothing memorable. One thing I did not appreciate was the pricing structure. The menu combinations appear one way at first, but if you choose a meat other than ground beef, there is an additional charge of one or two dollars depending on the item. The restaurant does disclose this, but only in fine print, so make sure to read carefully before ordering. Overall, I probably would not return because I know what genuinely good Mexican food tastes like. However, if you did not grow up eating Mexican food regularly, you may enjoy this place much more than I did. It may appeal more to people who are less familiar with authentic Mexican cuisine. Also, to be fair, I did not try the burritos, so those could potentially be better.
