Found this little restaurant on IG and am glad I made it a point to stop in since it's only a few minutes from home. I ordered the quesa birria (beef/res) tacos to go. THEY WERE GREAT! The 3 tacos were large, plentifully stuffed with meat and cheese and had just the right amount of crunch. Dunking them into the piping hot consomé made them even more flavorful. I was stuffed with those 3 - they were very filling and will definitely order again. I'm looking forward to returning and trying something else from the menu. Okay Carne Asada Fries, but Great Sauce Bar! I got the Asada Fries, and for my meat, I got beef. The amount of fries for $11.99 was a good amount, filling a whole tray. There were good amounts of jalapeños, sour cream, beef, pico de gallo, cheese, beans, but I could not find much guacamole. The fries were average sized fries. When I usually get carne asada fries, they're usually bigger fries so that was new to me. The Asada Fries were very filling, but sometimes it felt a bit dry. The restaurant is small, limited seating, but it seems like most people order to-go. The self serve sauce bar had a good amount of sauces, onions, radishes, etc.. The restaurant was clean, and parking was very easy because it was empty except for 3 cars. The employees are very kind. The person taking my order was helpful and kind, and she spoke a majority Spanish so please be kind and patient if you do not speak Spanish. I'm unsure if I would come here again. There's plenty of items on the menu that I would love to try, but the Asada Fries were a bit underwhelming. read more

I don't know how I've not heard of this place sooner. This is definitely my new go to spot for flautas and carne asada fries. Service was quick and easy and they have a really clean establishment at my time of visit. The portions for the price and quality was extremely reasonable. The green salsa was perfectly spicy and creamy. I wish I could buy a bottle of it. I'll be back again soon that's for sure read more

I found these guys off of IG and wanted to check them out. I got the romen birria and an asada taco! Birria was pretty tasty, and they have goat as another protein with the soup. They add a nice size of birra in the soup! The asada taco was great. It comes with the meat, and you go to the self-serve salsa cart and add the onions, salsa, limes in the soup/tacos. Place is a nice cozy size. They have 4 tables, 2 TV's (not working) and good mexican music playing through-out the restaurant. The prices are very reasonable and i love that. A bowl of birra and one asada taco for $16 bucks, can't beat it. I saw a guy order asada nachos (which is what i'm getting next) and it was nicely loaded up, stacked with goodness. El sabor is located in a little strip mall. Plenty of parking. Yes, i would go back again for more items. You guys should seriously try this place! Also the flavor left a little to be desired, there are other places with more flavorful birria. The food was good, however highly disappointed that I ordered a crunchy taco box from here for almost $40 for the tacos to all have the wrong meat. I'm sure that was a mistake from them moving too fast but very upsetting because I live too far to drive back and unfortunately I can't eat the meat they put in those tacos so my money was completely wasted. Was really craving some birria and this place is pretty close to home. We got it to go and the size, price, and taste was very good! Our favorite was the chili oil they served. Jamaica was also fresh and not overly sweet like other places. Only reason I won't do 5 stars is bc the al pastor was not good at all pretty dry and burnt would not get again. Good food, quick service, and plenty of options. My go-to is the birria (chivo) with the consomé--seriously the best thing they have. Just a heads-up: if you order tacos and switch the meat to birria, it's a different price, but they don't show that on the menu. read more

I came in with my fiancé Wednesday early in the afternoon, we received a promotional flyer that offered a free taco when you visit. The customer service was AMAZING the minute we walked in. The ladies at the front were so sweet and helpful. I got an horchata it was pretty good but just too sweet for me BUT my fiancé loved it. I got a quesabirria taco platter with consomé it was a 10/10, very flavorful! The taco was sooo good, meat was very flavorful and LOADED!! The taco came plain HOWEVER I loved that they had a self serve sides bar with your cilantro, onion, lime, salsa, and more! Came in with my family and we all loveeeed the food. The food exceeded our expectations. We all ordered something different I had the QUESABIRRIA will be be back for seconds. My mom had a MENUDO on a Tuesday that itself made her day. My son had FRIES and a QUESADILLAS glad they had that on the menu. My sister ordered MULITAS DE ALPASTOR AND BIRRIA, my nephew a BURRITO DE ALPASTOR and my niece 3 tacos ALPASTOR, ASADA, and CHORIZO we all finished all our food. The food is so-so; there are tastier options in Bellflower. The service is good but it does not counteract the surprise 4.5% credit card fee, which is on a par with the $2.49 "convenience fee" for ordering online. Small place but the food was really good. I had the three beef birria tacos with consome. The tacos were nice and crunchy and when paired with the consome, they were even more delicious. The restaurant also had a salsa and add-on bar that is very typical of taco places. The salsa that stood out to me was a guacamole sala that was nice and creamy. The service was also amazing. While you have to order at the counter, as soon as you sit down and your food is out, the lady that took my order was very attentive and continually asked if I needed anything or if she could offer me anything else for my meal. I live around the corner and saw that this restaurant just recently opened. The cashier was a young woman who was really nice. I ordered the Wet Burrito and Carne Asada Fries. Both tasted delicious and were big portions. The sauces and vegetables in the salsa bar taste fresh. I love the green avocado salsa. I also saw an abuelita cooking in the back which is probably why the food tasted like it was made with love. I will definitely be back as a regular to try other foods on the menu. read more

The quality and portions of the food are excellent for the price. The customer service has been surprisingly good. Last week I called them to let them know they made a mistake with my breakfast burrito. When I came in today, the lady remembered me without me mentioning it and she replaced the burrito for me at no cost. They made it right and that is becoming more uncommon these days unfortunately.
