I'm honestly really disappointed. Back around 2020, this place was consistently good and one of my go-to spots. The food was always flavorful, fresh, and reliable. Unfortunately, my recent visit in 2026 was completely different. The food was awful this time everything we ordered was disappointing and didn't taste good at all. It felt like the quality has really gone downhill. The only positive was that the drinks were strong. The have comfortable intimate booths and it really feels like a "casa" environment. It is loud in here and a good alternative to Casa Adelita. Called in a pick up order from a few of their lunch specialty menus and they said it would be ready in 15mins .. when I got to the restaurant the parking is located in the back and there weren't that many open spots but I was able to find one. The inside of the restaurant has low lighting and the host was very kind and had my information and food ready. I met a friend for lunch. He has a different opinion of what makes a good restaurant. I like the partitioned booths, comfortable seating, the help was pleasant and efficient. I ordered the chicken fajita burrito. Marginal at best. If you want salsa with a bite to it, you have to ask for it, and it was good. I think they have the best chips and salsa in town because it is super fresh. I went with the Chile Relleno because I like to have that when I go to a Mexican Restaurant. It was absolutely perfect. This review was made in parts as i sat down. We sat down at 6:10 for a large party (11 people). Our drink order was not taken until 6:30. Drinks came out quickly after, but there was another long pause before they came to get our food order, around 7:00. So we had been there 40 minutes without making food orders. When we did order, food did not come out until 7:30. And yet the check came before we had gotten anywhere close to finishing, around 7:40. Not once were we asked if we wanted refills on any drinks, though they did offer multiple chip and salsa refills. The food itself was good, my Carnitas Wet Burrito had a good flavor to it. The Topos Nachos' ground beef was extremely dry in comparison. The side salad was extremely sad, definitely should have gotten the Albondigas soup. The taco had what seemed to be ketchup in the taco. We had a Mexican Pizza with Shrimp. Only $11.50 Monday-Thursday and very filling! Soooo ooey gooey cheeeesy and with a light, crispy, flaky crust. Simply perfect! The grilled chicken taco salad wasn't as seasoned as I would have liked. I wanted it to taste like a taco and although it had all the trimmings of a taco, the taco seasoning wasn't there. It looked great and was well-prepared though, just lacking the taco flavor. I wouldn't order it again for that reason. Wet Chicken Burrito was big and delicious. The red sauce has a nice flavor to it. THE CADILLAC MARGARITA with the Grand Marnier float was EVERYTHINGGGG!!!! Best I've ever had! The problem with Mexican food and Mexican restaurants, is that everyone think's they know a spot better or their family member makes a better this. Leave that all behind at the door and just enjoy the meal in front of you. Casa Gamino is a solid place for some of my favorite traditional Mexican dishes. I'm a fan of the Chimi, the burrito, love the tacos and I'm slowly working on the rest of the menu with each passing visit. I love the chips and salsa and most of the times I'm pretty full of chips and Salsa by the time the main course shows up. Prices are fair, however the layout is a bit odd but easily over looked. Most of the staff provides awesome customer service, but there is one waiter that always seems to have a bad day, properly because he travels from Victorville, which shouldn't be an excuse. Either ways, I know what to expect, I enjoy the service, I find the prices fair and will continue to come here whenever I'm craving mexican food. read more
