Great place to eat with good people. Been coming here since I was young and will keep coming here.

The problem with Mexican food and Mexican restaurants, is that everyone think's they know a spot better or their family member makes a better this. Leave that all behind at the door and just enjoy the meal in front of you. Casa Gamino is a solid place for some of my favorite traditional Mexican dishes. I'm a fan of the Chimi, the burrito, love the tacos and I'm slowly working on the rest of the menu with each passing visit. I love the chips and salsa and most of the times I'm pretty full of chips and Salsa by the time the main course shows up. Prices are fair, however the layout is a bit odd but easily over looked. Most of the staff provides awesome customer service, but there is one waiter that always seems to have a bad day, properly because he travels from Victorville, which shouldn't be an excuse. Either ways, I know what to expect, I enjoy the service, I find the prices fair and will continue to come here whenever I'm craving mexican food. read more

This kills me to put a zero star review. Only doing so to hopefully catch the attention of management. My family has been coming here since the beginning. I first came here when I was 2 weeks old, and every other month since. I've never been disappointed and always looked forward to coming. Today was no different. When I come in the vibe was different. We were seated and served chips and salsa quickly. My partner and I are excited and dig in and immediately noticed the chips taste off and the salsa was watered down, after that we noticed these dark things with "legs" in the chips. In the dim light it's hard to tell exactly what it is but after taking the photo - it's possible it's old fried up bits from old oil and not bugs. Regardless that's way below the quality of Casa Gamino that I know. I remember getting the freshest chips and salsa. Never have I had a negative experience here. My partner and I even sat there for the longest time after - heartbroken and debating what to do. We really want to eat here but the fact that the chips tasted stale and like it was fried in old oil with fried "bugs" , we couldn't take the chance. So we left and now I'm writing this. I look forward to coming back in a month maybe. Hopefully whatever is causing these issues will be addressed. Casa Gamino has always been the best! Don't let us down by changing things. We came here for Father's Day. I was excited because I hadn't been to Casa Gamino for quite some time. We had a 20-minute wait to be seated which nice to hear. We were seated and welcomed and our chips and salsa arrived along with water promptly. They still have some of the best salsa chips around. But that good vibe is where it ended. It took 30-35 minutes for our food to arrive. Even after being told our food was coming shortly, it seemed like an eternity. Thank goodness for the water, chips, and salsa! ;-( Finally, our food comes and the tell-tell sign that this wasn't going to be good was that my family's food was lukewarm but they were warned that their plates were "hot and to be careful." Yeah, the plate was hot not the food. Then here comes the dagger in the back. My beef fajitas arrive without the traditional searing sizzling sound that you would normally hear as your waiter is walking over with fajitas. He places the fajitas down, no seating sizzle, no smoke, no warning that it was a hot plate, the fajitas were cold folks. Those fajitas must have stayed at their pick-up counter while we were patiently waiting for our food while chopping down on our chips and salsa. And we notice people who came in after us received their food. And one couple who were seated at the same time as we were received their food, and finished, and left before ours arrived. What an epic fail. We notified our waiter and he told the manager who came over quickly and apologized for what happened and he didn't charge me for my fajitas and wished me happy Father's Day and apologized again. I let him know that it was okay and apologies accepted and wished him a happy Father's Day as well. Being that the manager sincerely felt bad I won't leave a 1-star review. Been coming here for many years, never had a problem when I usually order hardshell tacos. I get them in a foil container with a clear lid this time around they were individually wrapped. my order was four hardshell tacos with extra cheese tacos, but no extra cheese that I paid for! 04/16/23 So I came in the other day to grab some pre-game drinks with friends. We sat at the bar top, comfy seats and great service. Love the complimentary chips and salsa, even at the bar. I actually ordered the mango margarita blended. So yummy, definitely recommend it. Popping in today to grab some abondigas soup to-go. read more

The food tastes like processed food, you know from a box or a can. In other words, the food was not fresh. The albondiga soup was too salty, like they opened it from a can, and the chicken tostado was too soggy and too salty. The enchiladas suizas were too spicy. I mean, aren't enchiladas suizas supposed to be made from tomatillo salsa, which is sort of sweet. If you want real Mexican food, don't eat here. read more

My absolute favorite Mexican restaurant- not only because I love the food and drinks, but also the prices are decent compared to many other locations and the service is personable and friendly. I've been a loyal customer for many years and will always recommend it. Everyone from the hostesses, managers, and servers - Sandy, Gabby, Raul, Toño, etc. are all superb in customer service. My husband loves dear pizza. I'm thinking it's OK I go because he wants to go and when I go, I just usually get tacos because I figured you can't mess up tacos too much. I'm not crazy about this place but I do go often when he wants to go And he always order Mexican pizza and I always order tacos and maybe some rice if I'm hungry so you know you have to go and try it and see if it's one of your pavers I do have a favorite Mexican place that I like, but I don't get there too often because I know it's not good for me to eat a lot of the food because of my Health healthwise so I said maybe because I'm not want to judge everybody's liking to Mexican food read more

Came by after looking around for somewhere to go for a quick date night. We got seated immediately and received the best service we've ever had. Our waiter was so friendly and attentive. We ordered a cantarito and a strawberry colada and our waiter made sure to give us the extra drink that didn't fit in the cup on the side to make sure we got our moneys worth. As for our food, I ordered a cóctel de camarón and my boyfriend got a wet burrito and they were both AMAZINGGGG. It's easy to overlook this place since it's been in Paramount for yearssss but I definitely don't recommend coming in and will continue to do so. Highly recommend! read more

Now let's get into this bite! Tonight I had the pleasure of eating the Mexican pizza and it was so fulfilling I could only eat half of it. It comes with beans, cheese and lettuce and as you can see it's cheesy! I also had the the Albondiga Soup, which is soooooo good! This is my 3rd time coming here the second time was about 8 months ago and 1st time was pre covid. Both times were decent so I decided to give it one last shot before I officially scratch them out of my list. As soon as you walk in the place looks old and dark, no windows and you feel trapped (claustrophobic) you get a hint of a weird smell. Might be cleaning product but it definitely lingers. I took my mom and I could tell she wasn't comfortable but I told her to just give it a shot. We decided to share the combo fajitas the serving was a good size the chicken was good and well seasoned but the beef was really chewy and dry. The shrimp well there was only like 3 or 4 sadly. But a bunch of onions and peppers. The veggies were good just wished it had more protein. The rice was well cooked and seasoned and the beans were good as well. I did like that they bring chips and salsa. All in all I would rate it a 4 out of 10 read more

I don't even won't to leave one star. ZERO STARS We hadn't even ordered our food just my cocktail, and we see a mouse run by and hide in between the booths. It was disgusting. So we told they about it and their response was " they leave the back door open". The door was open. I finished my drink and left. They didn't comp my drink. Just brushed the mouse under the rug so to speak. No pun intended. I looked for their grade but I didn't see it posted anywhere. I did take a picture of the mouse. Never heard of this place, mother in-law wanted to visit her favorite restaurant since we were in town. And wow was I surprised. We had a table of eight, sat us in a reasonable time. Server was great that evening, never had an issue with our service. Now, the food. I do not know the name of the dish I ordered, But it was like four different meats in a huge steel bowl and still sizzling. Meats: Carne Asada, Chorizo, Chicken Asada, with cactus. If you grew up in Paramount, this restaurant is as much as staple as Tam's. They have been around for years and I truly believe that it's the Paramount natives with memories of their childhood that keep this place in business. The food is ok and the ambiance is what you expect of a stereotypical Mexican restaurant in the 80s and 90s. This is what my friends and I call "Americanized Mexican Food." However, we are avid customers because of their great tasting margaritas! Makes it great for a girl's night out. Food prices are average and service is fast, however, at times you might feel rushed to leave. The blended mango margaritas with chamoy are the best and our go-to dish is the carne asada wet burrito with red and green sauce- truly the best dish there! read more

My visit here was .... Good there is a nice parking lot in the back so that's awesome. It has a very old school home style restaurant feel and it was warm inside, which was perfect because it's chilly in LA. We were seated right away and we received chips and salsa, the salsa is super yummy. No spice really but flavorful and fresh the chips were equally good. The Asada quesadilla was bomb.com definitely getting that again, the cheese pull was out of this world. To top it off the margaritas were good! But honestly after that is where the minus one star comes in the the wet burrito and enchiladas left much to be desired and we're just ok. Also the service was spotty I still don't know who our waiter was the one that bought the chips wasn't the one that took our order, no one introduced them selves we got a new person each time and it was a while in between before we got checked on. 35 years and still taste delicious!!! I used to go to the Casa Gamino in Westminster. Sadly it closed many years ago. I always craved their albondigas. It's the best! So I see they have one in Paramount. I looked at the menu to specifically look for their Mexican Pizza. Because if they had that then I knew this was the same Casa. Sure enough it's on the menu! I went today for the first time. Upon being sweated I did ask if these were the same owners as the one in Westminster, and it was!!! Of course I ordered a cup of soup, the still serve their drinks with the little crunchy ice, and I ordered their chimichanga because it was my favorite. Let me tell you that EVERYTHING tasted the same!!! Even down to their awesome chips and salsa! If you haven't been and want good ol fashion Mexican food go to Casa Gamino! read more

Food was a tad under par but not terrible. Service was okay but my issue was that they stuck us in the corner next to the loudest group of people ever. We tried to tell management, but our complaint fell on deaf ears. There were so many other places they could've sat us or moved us, but that didn't happen. Super disappointed. read more
