    Shredded beef burrito

Mi Casa is a gem! If you want amazing Mexican that taste like it was home made straight from your abuelitas kitchen come here. Eli and the entire staff was so sweet and welcoming and the customer service is great too. We were lucky to get there when it wasn't too busy between 3-4pm. I ordered the shredded beef wet burrito (came with potato a +) my husband got the comb with Chile relleno and beef enchiladas. We loved it and will be returning soon!

I came here hoping for a delicious Mexican breakfast , and guess what ? I loved it!! I got the chilaquiles and beans. Omg so good! Chile was delicious and a little spicy. The guy that works there Ely was very nice. Next time I need to try their lunch. I hope that's also as good.

I was craving enchiladas and found this spot. This is a small family own restaurant that has been around for a long time I think. The owner made small conversations with his returning customers, and it was nice to see that. The place is a bit old and could use some updated ventilation. When they bring out their sizzling fajitas, the restaurant becomes smoky. It didn't bother me as much since I was ordering takeout out. He offered chips and salsa while I wait for the order. The salsa was spicier than I thought! It was good. The chicken enchiladas with the green sauce and the rice and refried beans hit the spot. It was exactly what I was craving for. I found my go to spot for this area when I get my enchiladas craving now.

Wanted to try something new for breakfast and found Mi casa in the city of Lakewood... we ordered mechaca, a mexican specialty made with shredded beef and eggs. And i had the huevos rancheros, over easy eggs over a soft corn tortilla. Both served with rice and beans or potatoes . I knew right away it was going to be good just from the presentation. after the first bite, i was right!! All the flavors were perfectly delicious. The melted cheese , the warm beans . And the tasty sauce over eggs. A perfect yes for the flavor!! As far as the service goes? Awesome customer service! We'll definitely be back to try their other dish and the Cosido, a Wednesday special

Chicken enchiladas are the way to go. We are not just talking about left over chicken that was hap hazardly put into corn tortillas with a sauce. We are talking slow roasted chicken that falls apart when you cut into it. Huge chunks of chicken inside. You will be stuffed.

Great food and great service! Call ahead if you can't wait 10-15 min. I highly recommend this place, fresh food.

Attended a birthday celebration here today. Casual dining, no music, just a TV on in the corner. Servers were friendly and attentive. Food is bland and basic Mexican choices. They don't serve Non Alcoholic drinks , asked for diet coke didn't have that either. Another guest ordered a Dr Pepper that didn't arrive ! Servers sang Happy Birthday and brought out our own cake with candles. Family owned restaurant.

My family has been coming here for years. I've always liked the food. My usual is a bean and cheese burrito while my mom gets their french fries lol. When she visits, Mi Casa is one of the top places on her list. My brother tried a carne asada burrito which he said was just ok. It only has meat, beans, and cilantro. He wishes there were onions, tomatoes, cheese, and rice. This last time, I tried the fried ice cream. It was huge and really yummy. The customer service is always spectacular. They are so nice and very attentive. They make sure we have everything we need and are satisfied. Prices are reasonable, about $10-$15 per person. We will continue coming here and recommend it to others.

Service was friendly and the food was tasty for a semi reasonable price, still on the higher end. The chile verde plate was good and I enjoyed the rice and beans as well. Today was hot and I don't know if they had ac or not because it seemed a little stuffy inside. Only negative was we ordered the limon agua Fresca but we got the horchata instead. Nothing detrimental and the horchata was refreshing. Also for the carne asada wet burrito it was delicious but we asked for no beans but they included them in. All in all a solid 3.5 but since I can't give them a half star they are closer to the 4. Would like to come back to try some other menu items.

This place is nestled into a small strip mall with a couple other restaurants located in it kind of tucked away not hard to find, but you would miss it pretty easy, it was either the owner and his mom or his wife and they both seem nice. They took the order they made the order and they brought out the order so it looks like a hard-working family. Now onto the food !! My soup was good and I could tell that it was fresh because it took about 20 minutes to make and nobody else was in the restaurant. I appreciate the attention to detail, but for me the broth was just lacking. Something was definitely missing in the flavor department. My 10 year old son ordered the Carne Asada quesadilla and I had a small piece of that, which was actually pretty good as the tortilla was nice and fluffy and very soft. The meat in the quesadilla was also tender and not tough which also helped out Not saying I wouldn't come back to this place and give it another try ,but the soup for me was definitely lacking what I was looking for and I've had better albondigas soup at other places.

So in the meantime we needed a Scooby snack :p The Mexican spot next to Thai bbq was closed for the holiday. So I started calling around because my mom needed her carne asada tacos! Called around and I remember I had Los consomes on my list and they were open YAY. I ordered two carne asada street tacos, a queso birria ,a queso asada taco and chips and salsa. I was raised in Cerritos so I know Artesia very well and made my way over from Thai bbq. Walked in, nice clean little mom and pop. Seems like the guy was the chef and cashier. I didn't realize there was a little bell to let them know you're there so I stood around for a good minute til I pressed it lol. For safety, I'd say they should have something that makes a noise when you first walk in. Anyhow, he came out, rung me up and food was packed and ready. Got home and tore into the bag. The chips definitely tasted made to order. Extremely fresh! The salsa was sooooo good. He asked if I wanted the hot sauce and of course I did. Even my mom indulged and she usually can't do spicy. It was a perfect amount of spice. She said her tacos were the softest, not soggy tacos she ever had. The meat was perfect and plentiful. The queso tacos were simple and delicious. No dried out tortillas here! The Birria was nice and soft. Their meat was perfectly cooked. Not tough or a crazy chew to it. My mom said the chips were addicting. We were full just off our tacos and some chips. I needed a nap LOL. They have a nice straightforward menu. Not a million things, just enough options to keep you interested for multiple visits. Great service from a hardworking family I bet. I can't wait to go back and try their soups, even with this summer heat I wish them much success:)
