Delicious! Came here for Sunday brunch buffet and had such a great experience. There was live mariachi playing at each table and they even take song requests which made the brunch feel really fun and lively. The buffet was $50 per person, but I think it was worth it for the variety and quality of the food. The tacos were my favorite, very flavorful and they gave us a generous amount of meat in each one. It was also my first time trying menudo. The tripe had a slightly weird smell to it but the soup itself smelled really good and I enjoyed it. There were fresh fruit drinks available near the entrance and hot chocolate and coffee next to the desserts. The churros were honestly the best I've ever had. I also really liked the little purse hangers between the tables. Our waiter was attentive and refilled our waters several times and took our plates without us having to ask. This was our first time visiting Frida, and unfortunately it will probably be our last. I really hate leaving reviews like this, especially because I work in the restaurant and hospitality industry and understand that restaurants get busy, tables have to be managed, and sometimes there are legitimate reasons people are seated out of order. But the way we were treated here was not okay. My husband and I came in for brunch and were told there would be about a 15 minute wait. A party of 5 walked in immediately after us and was seated right away. My husband politely asked the hostess why they were seated before us. Her response was simply, "because they are a party of 5." That was it. No explanation that they had a reservation, that a certain table was specifically being held for a larger party, or anything that would have made the situation make sense. What bothered me even more was her attitude. She was rude, dismissive and made us feel like we were bothering her just by asking a completely reasonable question. I was also the only Black person in the restaurant at the time. I'm not going to claim to know what was in anyone's mind, but when you are treated differently from the people who walk in right behind you and nobody can give you a reasonable explanation for why, of course it makes you question what the difference was. We ended up leaving. We were actually looking forward to trying this place for the first time, but I'm not going to spend my money somewhere that makes me feel unwelcome. The hostess is the first impression of your restaurant, especially for a first time customer. Unfortunately, ours was a terrible one. My wife and I have been going to Frida every 4 to 6 weeks since they opened.The food was delicious, the people were friendly and the place was usually packed. Covid hit all the restaurants pretty hard. Even with smaller crowds, they maintained their quality of food and a friendly staff. I believe that the smaller crowds finally caught up with them. We've noticed a few issues the last few years. The last time we were there was on a Friday in early October, 2026. The place was almost empty. We were at the bar for dinner and drinks. There was a small group at another table. That was it. The staff were still friendly, however; they all had a nervous look. The food still tasted good. By the time we got home, we both started feeling sick with nausea and stomach cramps. We had food poisoning, probably from the black beans. It was a rough night. Sadly we've decided that The restaurant was now in our past and we won't be going back. It's sad and we'll miss it. I don't think they can overcome their issues. Came here for the first time--it's a very big space on the inside so I feel like it shouldn't be a problem to be seated but parking can feel tough bc there are many restaurants. We went around 8 on a Saturday night and it wasn't busy. The food was pretty good and the prices are like that range for 2025 economy but the portions are big. We got a mole dish and ceviche. I think both around $20ish. But the best part was Julian our server. He was very patient and a lot of fun to speak with. Julian provided exceptional service. From beginning to end we had a wonderful time. Julian was on point. He remembered everything we ordered. Service was excellent. The food was good. Wow! Parking is not so easy here. It was a Friday night and the whole area was hopping! We walked in and immediately got seated. It was busy yet there was room for the 5 of us. There wasn't any wait for us to get a seat and it wasn't very busy for a Tuesday night. Our first time eating here and it just was a hit and miss kind of a place. The prices are ridiculously high and there is nothing special about the food at all. I had a tiny chicken burrito with might of been steak but not sure that was very small for the high price I paid. The flavor was fine but it was about 80% rice if your into that. My wife had a 3 taco plate with all pork because they wouldn't make 3 different meat tacos and the pork had absolutely no flavor at all and it tasted like its been sitting in a pan of warm water all day.The chips and salsa were fine. I always get guacamole every time we visit a Mexican restaurant but this time we passed on it cause i just can't force myself to pay the 20..00 they are asking. I've only ever gotten drinks at a Frida before so this was my first time doing dinner. We had to sit outside since it was busy and we didn't have a reservation but the outdoor part was covered. Since it was a Friday, they had a live band and someone going around taking pictures. The pictures weren't good but enjoyable to take. The drinks were a bit disappointing compared to what I'm used to having. The Cadillac margarita tasted more orangey and didn't come in one of the nice margarita glasses. We wanted to get ceviche for an app but it was so expensive it didn't make sense to share that with one entree so we got two entrees instead. We got shrimp enchiladas and chicken fajitas. We started with the table side guacamole that was very fresh. We got the queso fresco w mushrooms and ate it with the tortilla. I'm a flour girlie and loved this combo. For my main, i got the enchiladas trio. The mole was good but a bit on the sweeter side. The rojo and verde were solid but not unique. For dessert: the churros were pretty good, the flan and the flan was nice and dense. The fried ice cream had an interesting fry texture but the scoop was too big for us to really appreciate it. We went for lunch. They were having the World Cup and the tv was so loud you could not even hear the waiter. They also changed their menus and recipes. The ceviche de Cameron was completely a different sauce they was gross. They took their flauntas off the menu. It took 20 minutes to get water and after that an additional 15 to get our order taken. My mother-in-law and I are planning a party for my aunt's birthday next month, so we've been searching for good Mexican restaurants. We decided to try Frida's. This was my second visit; the first time was a couple of years ago for Sunday brunch with my husband, and we loved it. That's why I suggested it to my mother-in-law. It was her first time there, and we chose to sit at the bar so she could sample some of the food. The first thing we did was order two tequila shots, but surprisingly, they only had three types of tequila available. For a Mexican restaurant, I expected a wider selection--this was the first red flag. We ordered a few appetizers, including the "Frida Platter." It was just okay. The taquitos were disappointing; since we're from Mexico, we expect taquitos to be crispy, but these were very soft with no crunch at all. The Buffalo Cauliflower was also terrible. I expected it to be crispy, but it was soggy and unappetizing. We only took a couple of bites before leaving the plate almost untouched and just ate the veggie sticks. My mother-in-law also tried the tortilla soup, but it was extremely salty and she couldn't eat it. I was really looking forward to treating my mother-in-law, and probably host our party there but honestly, the experience was just embarrassing. We don't mind paying for good food, but we expect to enjoy it. If you ask did we let the bartender know. Well no, as a professional you should always check on your guests and know if they are enjoying. My second server of the day( the one we had went home) he wasn't helpful or happy to be at work We ordered queso planchado, chicken tortilla soup, some kind of fish w chile on top and a combination plate. Kids chicken taco and beef taco plate, best plate of entire order ($12.99 should have been $9.99) We weren't happy and I feel it was a waste of $160 I mentioned to the server it was my Mom's birthday and he said ok and walked away. Nice place, its decorated nice & they play good music as well. Our server was great! Very attentive & helpful. Only dislike about my experience was our order. My wife had got a certain dish that was $45-$50 because it has octopus in it. It ended up having no octopus in it... I asked the waiter & was told they were out & they instead added extra shrimp (6 pieces of shrimp total) .. we felt like that should've been said & she would have ordered something else. I think Frida has the best happy hour deals! It's Monday to Friday all day at bar and high top area. We came in for late lunch then noticed their happy hour. So we moved to bar top after finishing the soups we ordered at a regular table. The pozole and tortilla soups were very flavorful and comforting for a cold winter day. Queso fundido, tacos and habanero wings were so yummy as well. For drinks I had skinny margaritas, a mezcal cocktail and Michelada. All of them were strong and tasty. Our servers were very friendly and attentive. Food portions were big even from happy hour menu. We will come here whenever we want a great happy hour meal! read more

Just went in for lunch today, I'll start way saying the place was dead so that might have a lot to do with this review. The server/bartender Alejandro, I don't know if he woke up on the wrong side of the bed or he's just like that.. Service was more like the attitude "what do you guys want" the food came out of the microwave, 100%.
