What an awesome experience it was in here recently. I had no idea my favorite restaurant had a second location. Someone mentioned it to me and ed decided to meet here recently for dinner. I usually dine at the Hawaiian Gardens location but was told this one here was slightly bigger. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted promptly by a nice gentleman. The inside is beautiful, a lot more spacious and very very welcoming and nice. It was 5 of us here for dinner and we couldn't be happier with the overall experience and great service and food! I had no idea that this location does karaoke which was an added bonus and it was fun to watch people enjoy themselves doing their singing! Food was delicious, I got me the enchiladas and the two men with us chose the seafood soups, 7 mares soups. Everything we ordered was made perfectly as expected. We ordered from Casa Adelita through Grubhub and received our order, but one item was missing and there was an item included that we didn't order. We notified Grubhub through the app and were reimbursed for the missing item. Our granddaughter called Casa Adelita and was met by a very rude and disrespectful woman who answered the phone, essentially saying, "This is your problem." I've been to a few different Casa Adelitas locations, and this one is by far my favorite. The service is noticeably better -- friendly, attentive, and welcoming -- and the food is consistently better here too. Everything comes out fresh, flavorful, and well-prepared. Parking can be a bit busy since it's located in a shopping center with a gym, but it's worth the extra few minutes to find a spot. I order Carne Asada Nachos to go, over priced for sure , when I opened the container the nachos were beyond soggy and the meat(if you can call it that) had no flavor and had to much skin.. not enough sour cream and guacamole either ! i hosted my birthday dinner here at casa adelita. they were amazing and took great care of us. i picked this spot because of its charm, good vibes, and good food. oh, and the karaoke on the weekends. thank you to the amazing waitresses for putting up with a big party of 13 and constantly refilling our drinks and checking in on us. the manager immediately put my cake in the kitchen and brought it out once we were done with our dinner. all my friends and family enjoyed it and said they would be bringing their own families here. amazing service 10/10 read more

What a wonderful restaurant! The food definitely hit the spot after attending a concert and partying the night before. This is a classic Mexican restaurant with an old school feel. When we arrived we saw a lady making handmade tortillas out front. Service was wonderful. I had the medium sized caldo de res. It was fantastic!! It reminded me of the one my mom would make growing up. My husband had a chile relleno and ceviche. He loved both. We shared a side of beans and cheese. They were some of the best we have had. Its been almost a week and we are still raving about the beans. The homemade tortillas were the perfect touch to compliment our meal. I had a glass of wine and iced tea. My husband had a beer. Casa Adelita is a good Mexican spot for breakfast, lunch or dinner. From 8am to 11pm, they keep the food coming. Nothing fancy, but a solid Mexican fare. On this particular visit, I had the #3 combo - Chile Relleno, Cheese Enchilada, Rice & Beans. I also ordered a hard shell Beef Taco. Everything was on point. My wife went to Casa Adelita tonight, it was 15 minutes before they closed their kitchen but that didn't stop the waitress from giving us amazing customer service and not to mention the kitchen for preparing great tacos gobernador. The tacos are not listed on their menu but when I asked about them the waitress said they could make them for us. We also had a non alcoholic michelada, which was delicious btw, and my wife had a XX beer accompanied with a chilled glass. Will be definitely going back to try more items on the menu. read more

We were looking for a place to go for dinner after a high school basketball game at John Glenn and went here. It's in a mini mall off Rosecrans and there's plenty of parking available. It wasn't too busy when we arrived, we were seated right away. It has a homey ambiance and our server took our drink order. The chips and salsa are so good. Honestly, we could have called it a night with just the chips and salsa . I ordered the fish fillet with garlic sauce. Great portion size and it was flavorful. There's something for everyone, as a matter of fact, my friend was able to order something from their breakfast menu. Highly recommend Casa Adelita! We are coming back!! read more

On a rainy day, some kind of soup is just what you need to get that kick to get your day going. I came here looking to try the menudo, as it is common knowledge that any Mexican restaurant or establishment sells it on Saturday and Sunday. I came in and there were only two waitresses. They told me to sit anywhere I like and then they came to my table to take my order. I ordered the medium sized menudo and a champurrado. They came out in less than 5 minutes so that is a huge plus. I imagine it's because they just have a huge vat of it ready to serve in the back. The menudo was good, not fantastic but still very good. It had a great flavor in the broth and they give you lime and cilantro and onion to garnish it, as well as oregano and chili flakes. After adding all of that in, it made for a tasty bowl of soup. I only wish that they had given me a little more pieces of meat but i guess that's what comes with the medium. They also give you some corn tortillas on the side. The champurrado was also pretty good. It was actually very sweet which I liked a lot. It tasted like hot horchata! I'd love to come here again and try the other things on the menu. Maybe not to this location (not for any particular reason) but to the one in Hawaiian Gardens. All in all, people should drop by here if they're looking to have some good menudo :) read more

I only gave Casa Adelita in Norwalk one star because that was the least amount I could give! This place is so ridiculous. I ordered through DoorDash and DoorDash brought my food in a timely manner. I ordered a combination plate with a beef taco and an enchilada. When I opened the container for the taco, it was like a wet noodle! So disgusting! I gave them a chance and I called so they could make it right and the lady who answered the phone she said she wasn't able to do anything. I told her I can't believe you are not going to try to make this better especially if you're the manager or the owner. So she put me on hold again and then she came back and said she told the owner and the owner said to complain to DoorDash. Again, DoorDash had nothing to do with it! It is the way they packaged it!! You would think if they're in the food industry they would know how to package a freaking taco! So do not go there and if you go there, maybe you wanna eat there instead of bringing it home or doing DoorDash. It was not DoorDash's issue. I'm not even joking. We stoped in on the way home from Monster Jam. They quickly greeted us, got us a booth so our toddler could be comfortable. Excellent chips and salsa! We order a 1 & 23. Enchilada was yummy! Taco beef was delicious not chewy and topped with tons of lettuce and queso Fresca. Husbands tacos were delicious 2 hard shell beef and a chicken. Everything had flavor! We were extremely disappointed with our entire meal. We were looking forward to going out to dinner for Cinco De Mayo but then my kid got pink eye. So I called in an order for pickup. We looked at the menu online and phoned in the order. When I arrived to pay for my order they said $70. I literally pulled my card back and said "Excuse me? May I see the print out of what I ordered?" Kids chickens nuggets - in the price posted online it said $8.50- they charged me $12.55 Kids carne asada taco- online said $8.50 - they charged me $12.55 Super Taco- online said $7.95 but they charged $8.50 Garlic butter shrimp- online $23.95 and they charged $24.95 I was hoping it would have been worth the money. Sadly, it was not. The carne asada in both the super taco and the kids meal had zero flavor. None. And the super taco we asked for without tomatoes and it came with tomatoes. It was soggy and fell apart when opened. The beans were good. Rice was ok. Garlic shrimp had a lot of flavor- probably the best thing we had, but overcooked. Let me start by saying... I LOVE FOOD!!! You know this right from reading my reviews. I am of Mexican/ French Canadian decent. I am not a huge Mexican food fan unless it's flavorful. Adelita's is prepared in a very traditional way with the perfect amount of spices and reduced salt.. Being that I love food with flavor my favorite dishes here would be the Chicken Mole very tasty with a little spicy kick. The sauce is creamy with the perfect consistency. Reminds me of Ciro's from East LA(they place closed 10 years ago) It has the traditional homemade taste and it's even better the next day over eggs. Second best to my MIL's. Their beans do taste fresh out of the pot. My husband loves Mexican food, its a staple for him. I am not sure though why he always orders the steak plate(carne asada) it's prepared with 4x6 piece of grilled flank steak. It's very good, lots of juice to soak up with your flour tortilla. The four tortilla is a must, the plate is serves with rice and beans.. You need a flour tortilla if you are having beans. The last time we were here with our friends Patty & Angel, yes I name dropped :). I had the chili relleno, enchilada plate. The relleno was interesting it had a very unique and delicious flavor. Adelita has their own recipes it comes through in their dishes. My friends had the Posole soup, the soup was good with lots of meat and corn. This is only my third time here and every time is a different and enjoyable experience. Food : Delicious Restaurant: Could use some updating or a deep cleaning. The restaurant is littered with a mixture of Latin and Mexican new and old art. Pictures and murals. Host: Very nice and responsive... This place reminds me of the comfort-Mex place we lost in Downey a few years ago - Marisa's - but it's easily better. Went there for the first time about 2 weeks ago and I swear I've been thinking about going back every single day. It's not around the corner for me tho. Wish it was! I had the poblano wet burrito, my choice of filling was chile verde, rice, beans. My wife had taquitos dorados de res and we shared. I totally had the lion's share of that burrito, no leftovers. Went out late night, they were able to served us since we show up 30 min before closing, I had the shrimp. Regular dish with some beans. My uncle had the lobster however is was very hard to cut. Seems it was old. Overall great service, need to do better with food. read more

I went today to get some caldo de albóndigas and it's good. Service is not the best but you expect that in a place like this. Servers will ignore you until they finish their private conversations. And they even stop talking to you if they need to reply to a co-worker. But once there I decided to buy a little snack for later and saw that they had tortas ahogadas. I got one to-go and when I was ready to eat (2 hours later) I realized that they had put the sauce in it. Not only that but they used regular torta bread which is a NO! A big NO!!! The bread makes the torta ahogada. Not only that but I don't think these people ever had a torta ahogada in their lives. You don't ever put sauce in it until you're ready to eat it, so all tortas to-go have to have the sauce on the side even if you're going to eat it soon. But who puts cheese on a torta ahogada? Ando they don't even used pickled onion! But the most insulting thing was the taste. I had one bite and threw it away. I'm not even mad about the money wasted because it wasn't more than $11. It's more sad than anything. Please stop selling something you have no idea how to make. read more
