3.5 to 4 stars. I didn't think I was going to like this place at first because the hostess seemed very casual but she was just busy! She actually turned out to be very friendly and helpful. Interior is really nothing special but the food was delicious with generous portions! Also not terribly expensive. I even had enough for leftovers. I would definitely go back if I'm in the area. read more

I want to love this place. It has the potential to be amazing. The service was great, the food pretty good other than burnt taco shells. Didn't notice initially but once we looked around, noticed the place is so very dirty. The grime looks like it's been building up for a very long time. No air conditioning, so doors wide open and very uncomfortable inside on a hot day. I hope the owner will decide to show care for his establishment and customers and turn this place around. It could be a gem. read more

Service was friendly. They were busy when I walked in, but still showed great customer service by acknowledging me as I stood behind the counter waiting to order. I ordered the chicken burrito. It comes with chips and salsa. The shredded chicken in the burrito was ALMOST on the dry side but still worth ordering it again. I definitely used up all the sauce packets that were placed in the bag to drench my burrito a bit after each bit. I would 100% still come back and order the chicken burrito again. Solid place. read more

A placed an order for Food to go so I did not dine in. I did use the restroom and I can say it was rather dirty. The place was small like a hole in the wall. The man at the front was very nice and answered my questions about my allergies, and I didn't expect there to be a lot of chips and salsa in the bag with my burrito that I ordered. I ordered a ground beef burrito with no cheese and all the works. The tortilla was soft and thin, but strong, which I like the meat was flavorful and not overly greasy. The chips were lightly salted which was also another Bonus. The only thing I would say is that I wish the avocado was more distributed throughout the whole burrito but I can say that this will be my new spot to pick up a burrito from I would give the whole experience a 9.5 out of 10. read more

Been here several times. Food is always delicious. Never had an issue with service. The restaurant has a few tables to dine in. Came here for lunch on Thursday. Food order and food service was done quickly, within 10mins it felt like. Our server after that was nonexistent. She never came back to our table once to ask if we wanted a refill on our drinks or more chips and salsa. Why I rated this business 4 Stars. They weren't busy. She just didn't want to work, sadly. I ordered the wet burrito with asada. All in all great burrito. I would order it again. My friend got the taco enchilada combo. She loved it. read more

The enchiladas are a 10/10! Taco salad is always very good. Love this place so much, will always come back!

Food is delicious it's a lil run down & NO air conditioner!!! Opted to take my food to go. To hot to eat in the restaurant. Food is always an 8 to 10 . Restaurant itself a 6. Staff are always on point . read more

The food is good, and the prices are reasonable. The only big deterrent for me is the ambience and the decor of the place. It seems really dusty and outdated with torn seats. read more

I went here many years ago, felt it was just ok. Today I wanted breakfast and thought it sounded good. The server was friendly and explained the menu to me. So many items! I just wanted a breakfast burrito. They only had chorizo, not basic sausage burritos. I am very happy with this now. The burrito was hot, filled with chorizo egg, potatoes, cheese, and crispy bacon. Best chorizo burrito I have had. read more

Nice hole-in-the-wall Mexican eatery. The food is great, the atmosphere quaint, service not quite stellar. This place cannot accommodate large parties. We had eight in our group and seating was a bit tight. Their pastor tacos are delicious and packed full of meat and toppings. Only beer, wine, and soft drinks are served here, no margaritas. read more

The good: My family stopped by this place while we were walking around for an Easter event today. I got a #12 (meat, rice, beans, guacamole and a side of tortillas) and a shrimp burrito. I loved my shrimp burrito. The shrimp were a great texture and were very saucy and flavorful. It was very different than any other burrito I've had before. They have both indoor and outdoor seating. There are TVs inside for entertainment. The menu is huge and offers lunch specials. They give free circular tortilla chips and salsa. The guacamole was spicy in the dinner plate and the food and plate came out super hot. They had fun booth style seats with colorful Mexican carvings. The bad: My burrito was supposed to have avocado in it but it had none. I wish there was more lettuce in my burrito. The bathroom could've smelled fresher. There were no baby changing tables. The interesting: There is a second floor inside the restaurant, but I'm not sure where it leads to. read more

My blood pressure is on high . I have come to this establishment for ovwr 20 years . Always received excellent service and food was good. On this Wednesday night , Jan. 21,2026 I had the worst experience ever from a the 17 year old server named Morrisett. She seemed somewhat incompetent, I remembered her from the last time but I was helped by another nice young lady . I had a coupon from Restaurant.com that gives you $10 off your purchase of $30 . Once I mentioned I had a coupon everything went left !!! She first stated they did not take the coupons . However the restaurant is on the list ( you have to choose a restaurant to obtain the deal. I calmly explained that I've used a similar coupon before . She said well all coupons expire ( duh) but this was not the case . Then when I asked to speak with a manager, Antonio , he stated they needed a scanner to scan the coupon . Which they never did before . I asked so are you telling me you are not going to accept it , he said he needed a print out . BULLCRAP!!!! Then he says well I'll take this time ! I'm thinking I'm never coming g back again so it won't be a second time Then the server says well I'm 17 you can't ask for my name , haha! You chose this profession. I cannot believe what just happened . Never again . Service was horrible and the food was a 5 out of ten ! read more

I sat down and the waitress said, "hi, may I help you?" I told her I just wanted to sit down to order. She rolled her eyes at me and said, "let me know when you're ready to order." She didn't even give me a menu. I waited a few minutes for a menu, but I never got one. horrible customer service. I've here before and always got a menu. I drove out my way to come. I finally just left. I'll never come back to this one again. The food is usually good. It's a shame. read more

Their machine was down so they were cash only. That's the only downside to my experience, luckily I was able to get cash. The carne asada burrito was soo good! I prefer my burritos not to have rice, so I was satisfied. Service was quick and easy as we called and did pick up. I wish the salsa was a bit spicier, but maybe there's another I can try. They give plenty of chips! The horchata was great too. Over all, solid experience read more

I've been looking for a go-to Mexican restaurant since moving to my area a few years ago - one with good food and at reasonable prices. I think I've found it here. My favorite items include the flautas and fajitas but the chile relleno and chimichangas were pretty good as well. My husband loves their burritos. I like that the rice is soft and not greasy. My favorite thing here is their salsa however. It's so good and often buy extra to take home. This place is small but have never seen it super busy although I usually come between typical meal times to avoid waits if possible. read more

I was partaking in their Second Saturday Vendor Sale and was getting a bit hungry. Here was my experience. AMBIANCE: Parking: There is plaza parking and neighborhood parking not too far away. Seating: Inside seating but COVID-19 protocols...so there is outside seating for groups Feels: The spot is in an interesting spot. It's in this mini small old downtown feel with other restaurants. Right across is a pretty big park where you can work out or hang out. The restaurant itself is big and neat. Spacious and well decorated with their art, food, and menu. Good for a family meal or casual chill. FOOD: Taco Salad - Carne Asada (Recommend) A bang for your buck. A taco salad, tortilla chips, and a drink of your choice. The taco salad was delicious. Extremely fulfilling - sour cream, avocado, lettuce, tomatoes, beans, rice and steak. SUPER fulfilling and delicious. There are some extra chips and a drink of choice (like jamaica/hibiscus). CUSTOMER SERVICE: Great! Friendly and quick. TL; DR OVERALL: 4.5 Stars. Super! I dig the selections, the price, and the service. There may be plenty of Mexican spots but this restaurant hold it down in there area. So many good food and choices, I'm torn coming back to get the taco salad or something else. Enjoy! TIPS: * From tacos to burritos, they have it all! read more

I drive by this place after and before my sons baseball games and on the day I was starving, I decided to swing by and checked this place out. From the outside this place looks like it's a food to go kind of restaurant. But it's not, they have tables upstairs and downstairs, probably about 10-15 tables. I ordered carne asada burrito and it was a good portion. It was very good and priced Accor. They also serve beer and the server was very pleasant. I enjoyed my food and will certainly return. read more

Inside is lovely, outside was great and the music was great. I was truly dissatisfied with the plating and the taste. I heard this was an authentic Mexican place and was super excited to try it. The salsa was watered down The chips/tostadas were stale I ordered an Asada burrito which was flavorless, it was missing the sazón My husband ordered carnitas, he said the flood was also tasteless and tasted like reheated food. Our aguas de Jamaica tasted like watered down cranberry juice. Maybe I came on the wrong day or my expectation was a bit high. read more

Our family is never disappointed! Thank you to your employees that provide quality food in a reasonable time frame that is cost effective. My father loves the mixed fajitas. My daughter loves the shredded hard shell taco with beans and rice. My husband loves to get the fish burrito "wet". I have never had a bad experience with food or service. Our family has been patronizing this business since their first year in business. My daughter is always asking for their crunchy tacos and their beans. My father suggests that we order from this local business when he visits because he loves the food and it is a household favorite. read more

Been coming to eat here for over 10 years never had a issue until this past Saturday. I placed a phone order to pick up I ordered 8 plates. I arrived to pick the order the girl charged me and give me to bags only, I noticed we had no salsa and tostadas. I asked for some and gave me bad attitude saying I put some already, I proceeded to show her the 2 bags at the point she threw some salsa and tostadas with bad attitude. At point my sister said let's check the order and in front of her we took out the food in front her and to our surprise we were missing 2 plates. We took her and once's again she gave us bad attitude saying I gave you all the food and was you gave us 2 bags and we haven't moved from here we took all the food in front you. She wasn't helpful at all. Had to talk to one of the cooks. He was so helpful and professional he kept saying sorry and made our 2 missing plates the waitress/cashier kept arguing telling us that we are slowing her down to leave. I told her if she would have gave us our correct order we would have been home enjoying our food. I will not return to El Burrito Grill as long as she works there. Unfortunately you guys lost over 10 years customer. read more

I tried the green chili burrito today. First time there. It was a busy day with a large group upstairs. The burrito was good. It contained green chili, chunky beef, tomato, cilantro, and cheese. I ordered it wet with green sauce. I added beans. The flavor was good and the meat was tender. Next time I'll order it with beans, no tomatoes or cilantro. The server may have been overwhelmed but after serving us, she didn't offer refills, or come back to give us our bill. We had to get up to add a to go order and pay. She was polite and professional. Maybe just really busy. Chips were stale but salsa was good. Anyways, I would return, the food was good. read more

I honestly can say this burrito place is good and they have good food but the only thing about this place u can tell them how to make your food and they will make it how they feel like making it lol me and husband and kids was so mad about it we had to take it back . And the worker got mad and told us that don't belong on a burrito if I getting a wet burrito u can put cheese in the inside because u don't put that much on the top and everyone don't eat rice !!!!!! I will give this place a 3 they have to learn how to respect people . read more

I randomly crave bean and cheese burritos. My favorite place is in La Puente and too far just to grab food. I've been on the search for a local, inexpensive place that could satisfy my cravings. El Burrito Grill hit the spot. The bean and cheese burrito was delicious. There was plenty of cheese and the beans were flavored well. The burrito was pretty big too. The chips and salsa were a plus. The salsa was simple yet delicious; it wasn't spicy at all. The burrito, 7 tostada shells, and 3 little cups of salsa were $7.17. I definitely coming here from now on. read more
