Very good asada street tacos at $3 per. Delicious flavor and packed with meat. They ran out of pastor which we will try next time. The only disappointment was the asada vampiro which had the same amount of meat as the tacos but twice the price and honestly it didn't hit much more than the street tacos. Their spicy salsa was very good as well. I will have to try them again when they are not close to closing. They close earlier than the hours posted so call before you go. read more

The carne asada is the best meat to order. The Al pastor is ok. DO NOT ORDER CABEZA! The owner bragged to my husband that their food is amazing, but that was only true for carne asada and al pastor. If you order any other kind of meat, especially cabeza, you will regret it. The meat smelled awful, so awful that my husband went back to the owner and threw it at him demanding he smell the crap he's selling. The owner was remorseful and gave him replacement carne asada tacos, but a few days later we find out he's still selling the nasty cabeza meat because my husbands friend took a chance and ordered a cabeza burrito. The cook does not care and will cook bad meat and serve it, the owner will not bother checking either. Gross. read more

And one of my cousin asked for a side of rice, but they misheard her and gave her a side of fries. My cousin felt like the carne asada wasn't flavored or seasoned well. And they all thought the sauce on the Carne Asada Fries made it too sweet for their liking; and they felt like it could use more cheese. If you can appreciate an AUTHENTIC Mexican street taco/street food experience, (NOT just a walk up for truck) 600 Tacos is definitely your spot! They have 2 locations, 1 in North Long Beach on Artesia (you'll probably see this review there) the other is located on Los Coyotes Diagonal near the traffic Circle and close to Cal State-Long Beach. First of all, the food is nothing short of excellent. When you see the owner, grilling carne asada, with lump mesquite charcoal, and you both see flames, and experience the smell of goodness a block away; you know you've found "the spot". I should also mention the al pastor was also being freshly prepared, on a rotating spit. (With a large onion on the bottom) That was just last night. Tonight, the owner was getting chicken (pollo), for his operation. Last night's late night dinner? 6 tacos. 3 al pastor, 3 carne asada. The salsas.. just ridiculous. Especially the orange, habanero salsa. Tonight's take? 2 burritos. 1 carne asada and al pastor. 1 carne asada and El pollo. Cheese, onions and cilantro. That's it! Parking? Plenty of free parking right there. Seating? They've got that too. Staff? They're all on point. Especially Sergio, the owner. Definitely worth the trip. read more

Was excited to try this place out but the food wasn't it. I knew it was already bad when this truck doesn't even have horchata. The prices were also way too high for what the food was worth. The wait for a burrito (mind you it was extremely small for your typical burrito) and 3 tacos took about 20-30 minutes, which isn't usual for a taco truck especially when there was only two customers ahead with SMALL orders! The asada wasn't authentic to me what so ever. When the asada is cut into little squares and thick pieces, that's how I know the food wasn't going to be good. The asada just didn't have any seasoning so the only thing that saved it was the salsa and the guacamole that they put on it. I don't understand how everyone thinks this truck is delicious, maybe I caught them on a bad day but it was too slow for business for it to lack that much taste. read more

I tried a chicken burrito tonight. I asked for Spanish rice, pinto beans, chicken and pico de gallo. The rice was light and fluffy and well made. The chicken and pico de gallo were excellent as usual. If I were younger I would add some hot sauce and cheese to make it superb. The only thing they need to work on is the beans. They were a little soupy and there was not enough bean taste. Next time, I will ask for extra beans to make sure they know that I want to taste the beans more. Otherwise it definitely had a good flavor. If they have tomatoes and lettuce, I would add that too. I'm sure the other meat burritos are excellent in taste. I just don't eat beef or pork anymore now that I'm a "Senior". I think they could expand to more of a vegetarian burrito but not sure the Father and Son Owners want to go that direction. Hands down best taco truck around...feel lucky they have made a home by the traffic circle.

This is my favorite late night tacos spot in the area, and they never fail to satisfy my cravings for them. The truck is only open starting in the late afternoon to early mornings. There are 2-3 portable tables for a limited "for-here" dining experience and few chairs as well. Service is lovely as always, and prompt in timing. Pollo and Al Pastor are my go-tos but any option from here is a good one. Horchata is also really yummy :) read more
