We've been here before, and they normally had decent service. The last experience was so bad that we will be going somewhere else for our Mexican food. Place was nearly empty, we still went completely unattended for long stretches of time, orders were all wrong, and the waitress instead of fixing it was argumentative & completely wrong. For example, when I noticed my order was wrong, I told her and she immediately contradicted me to the point that I had to move the meat aside to prove to her that there were no beans on my order when there should've been. Instead of then fixing and apologizing she blamed the chef. When my spouse pointed out what was wrong about her order, she asked us what she wanted her to do with it? Maybe take it back and fix it? It was almost like she was blaming us and expecting us to just take what they brought us even if it was wrong. NOBODY IS TRYING TO PAY FOR THE PLEASURE TO FIGHT WITH THEIR INCORRECT WAITRESS. If you are going to be arguing with your paying clients, the least you could do is be right. They still tried to bill me for incorrect food returned and uneaten. Owner started brining up her video, but failed to address the countless problems and issues that were all over that "video". Eventually the food that was wrong and that was returned uneaten was refunded but it pales in comparison what the afternoon cost me. Please consider going elsewhere and their health code is a C which I did not know. read more

First time here, the food was amazing I had caldo de camarón and my husband had mole it was delish. Even the salsa and chips where tasty! I had agua de piña y naranja fresca really good. My hubby had a café de olla it was delish too! Definitely coming here agin to taste the rest of the menu. Recommend if you like authentic Mexican food! read more

Ordered a molcajete trio, sope, and horchata. Look I hate horchata but this one was good it even tasted fresh, natural. As for the sope I mean you can go wrong with a sope basic simple and good. Now for the molcajete the meats were good unfortunately the salsa not spicy but that's okay. I'd say a little just a little over seasoned but overall good, oh and can't forget the hand made tortillas!! Not everyone gives handmade tortillas with molcajetes. Beans were amazing the rice can use some work.. but overall I would still recommend. Kim L is full of shit!!!!!!! If she doesn't know the difference between queso and refried beans, she doesn't deserve to have Mexican food anywhere. Everything is so fresh there and the thick tortillas are hand made. The service is excellent and the food is very tasty. The portions are big and plentiful. The Molcajetes are great. Delicious food and great service. The woman working in the restaurant was so sweet and you can tell the food is made with love. I grew up here in California but recently moved out of state. Stopped by to wait out some traffic going down south from LAX as I am visiting and it was the perfect welcome back taste of home. The salsa and frijoles were amazing as was the rest of the meal. I first discovered this little gem about 2 years ago after having grown up in Paramount! Idk how I missed it but glad I finally found it! Lol. Here's what I loved about this place: Their cute colorful Mexican decor and of course, the delicious food. I particularly enjoy the chilaquiles verdes which come with rice, beans, & a tasty little quesadilla made with a handmade tortilla! Haven't tried the red bc the staff advised the green are less spicy, lol. The portions are big! I did notice the prices have gone up but really that's everywhere nowadays and at least they give you a good amount of food for the price! They served me and my friend about 5 minutes after we ordered! That's definitely a win for me! Also, they serve you not only chips & salsa but yummy frijoles to dip your chips in too! Their dishes are actual Mexican clay designed which give your pictures that extra authentic look! Nothing like some cafe de olla served in an authentic little Mexican mug. I'm also glad they now have indoor seating again too, but if it's a nice day, their outdoor patio is nice to sit in also. I'm now a regular customer. read more

Went there for breakfast and their prices have skyrocketed. I ordered chilaquiles w eggs and carne al gusto. I asked the waitress instead of carne asada could I do chorizo she said yes. I asked for a cafe de olla. The food came and it came w the carne asada and gave me a piece of chorizo on the side ‍ then the coffee came and it was like sock water not strong at all. But the thing that pissed me off the most was the fact that the salsa they are using are not home made they are the salsas I get from costco...todas aguadas y sin flavor and they used the green salsa for my chilaquiles. If they are going to charge $26 for the chilaquiles at least make ur own salsa. So for the chilaquiles 1 coffee and the side of chorizo it was $41 bucks. Never again I'm very disappointed. read more

OMG This place is amazing the food is really nice love the pastor yah can't beat it they do it right. I get it as a taco actually 10 of them yep that good with lots of salsa which is very GOOD!!! Burrito as well I go chorizo and with everything. Thr portions are very generous too. Also the waters/freshly made juices are addicting omg sooo good. I don't understand how can this place have a good rating. We got there, they sat us down fast. But literally took 20 mins to ask us what we were going to drink. And not to mention the waiting on taking our order as well. To top it off there was this nasty ass older man video chatting and being all loud and saying bad words. Everyone was just staring at him. Keep in mind My family and I had gotten there first. Well when the waiter went to leave him some chips and salsa, he yelled at her to might as well take his order there, she kindly told him no because there was families ahead of him. Time passed and all of a sudden he had his molcajete on his table, while my family and I were STILL waiting on our orders. Mind you almost an hour had passed. And it wasn't even pack!!!! The man kept being loud and vulgar while he finished eating. Once he was done he paid, stood up to use the restroom and came out like 15 mins later. He still had the audacity to turn on his ugly rusty truck with an ugly sound system all loud that disturbed other people who were there eating as well. He leaned on the patio fence and started SPITTING ON THE FLOOR , what the f#ck!!!!!! Everyone there was sitting down eating with their families, and this caveman was spitting next to the damn fence!!! Truly disgusting. Whatever the heck he tried to show off. Whether it was his ugly truck, that he had "money" to eat or his vulgar language...it made me NOT want to come back. Not to mention the waitresses took forever on everything. To top it off my husband's coctel wasn't even good. The water from it tasted nasty. He also asked for a tostada de pescado and it was salty and with a lot of lemon. Couldn't even taste the pescado. My mother asked for carnita plate and the carnitas tasted OLD!!!! And when I checked my kids cups one of them had a small black piece of trash inside. I was looking for somewhere to eat close to where I was at the time, yesterday in Paramount. So, this place said it was comparable to El Torito and I love El Torito so I figured I'd check it out. Ugh, they came out with chips, queso and salsa so I got excited. Who normally gives you queso with your chips? No one! But honey let me tell you how horrible, gloppy and tastless this queso was! It actually tasted like flour. The consistency was horrible and after one chip I wanted to leave the restaurant. My friend convinced me that we should just stay since we were already there. I was so hungry, but I just knew that this food was not about to be good, just based on the queso alone. By the way, the chips were absolutely NOT good either. I deicded to order just one steak taco and my friend ordered a chicken burrito. My taco came and the corn tortilla shell was thick and hard. The meat was super greasy and WAY too salty. My friend's burrito had that SAME nasty queso sauce in it and the chicken tasted like they had just been defrosted. He took one bite and looked up and said, "Oh no! It has the same queso in it." No taste. They didn't have any alcohol, which would've made the food taste halfway decent. Needless to say, we were both still hungry when we left. I ended up going home eating leftover PF Changs...... delicious. OMG, this was the worst experience with food I've ever had. 2 thumbs all the way down! We got a good laugh out of it and will cherish that experience forever! But yeah don't waste your money. It's WAY overpriced as well. Yuck! read more

Stopped by to try the daily buffet due to the fact that I wanted to fill up my stomach and try something different at the same time. The buffet is on Monday through Friday (Lunes a Viernes) 10:00 am to 4:00pm. Not too much to offer but the items were tasty for the most part but some were a bit greasy. The pozole is #1 on my list due to the juicy chunks of meat and flavorful sauce. They make their own tortillas and they are quite good. This place stays longer on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. The menus are in Spanish but the people here do speak English. The service is pretty good here as well. There's more to try (cocktails ceviche, etc) as well. This place is easy to miss due to being on Rosecrans past Garfield. Look for the Farmers Market and you can't miss it. Give this place a try and you won't regret missing out. read more

I came back to enjoy some more fish tacos, however my visit today was a disappointment compared to my last visit. I ordered 2 fish tacos over the phone for pick up. I unfortunately didn't have cash this visit so paid an extra $1.50 to use my card which is not a big deal. Before I left, I was going to add some extra things onto the tacos (lime, onions, cilantro, etc) from the free bar, but the tacos were different than last time. The tacos today had grilled fish instead of the breaded fish at my last visit. I spoke to the woman who is the serve/cashier and she told me nicely that it's because it was a different chef and they cook different things. :( Next time I will have to make sure the chef is cooking the fish breaded. The grill fish taco was ok. The sour cream tasted a little off. I wouldn't want to eat that type of fish taco again. Also, sadly they didn't give me chips this time around. read more
